This is a review of the Northern Ireland Day tour. This is one my favorite tours that I've ever done. Our tour guide was Brendan and our driver was Krishna and both of them were delightful. They gave us the perfect amount of talking time and quiet time on a long day. They also had ample bathroom breaks and well-timed activities. If you do this tour, you MUST pick the black cab taxi tour in Belfast. You'll have time to run through the titanic museum at the end of the black cab taxi tour if you really want both, but the black cab tour was so emotional. Our tour guide was "pat with the hat" and his emotional and personal ties to the history of Northern Ireland brought me to tears. It was such an emotional and powerful experience. The next part of the tour is a quick stop at the Dulunce Castle. This castle is the inspiration for Cair Paravel from Chronicles of Narnia and House Greyjoy from Game of Thrones - two books that I adore. It's a quick stop but a beautiful one. The final stop is a lovely hike at Giant's Causeway. You have more than enough time for lunch and a hike at this final spot. I can't recommend this tour enough - 20 out of 10 stars! I booked a tour with Wild Rover from Dublin to Belfast/Bushmills/Giants Causeway and it was great! The ride went super smooth and the itinerary was well planned by both Ray and Elisa. Elisa was an amazing tour guide with a lot of knowledge of every spot and great recommendations. There was definitely enough time to do everything at each stop but this was most likely because we were a small group so I'd definitely recommend the off season. In Belfast, our walking tour guide Aron was great! Lots of history knowledge and personal connections to the area. Overall, would definitely recommend! read more

We went on the cliffs of moher, wild Atlantic way and galway tour on 25/2/2026. As me, my parents and my boyfriend were getting on the bus, the driver Stephen, was standing on the isle of the bus so we had to sit close to the front, as he was blocking us from sitting further back. Our tour guide Elisa called him to help her with something and he made a comment "I'll be there in a minute, I'm just waiting on Argentina to get out of my way" which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Myself and my parents are from Argentina, my boyfriend is irish, so when we booked this tour, about a month in advance, we put in a note saying that there will be 2 Spanish-speaking people on the tour and if there is a Spanish translation available. We did not expect a reply and knew the tour was in English but we did add that when we booked the tour, just in case. As the tour started, I was translating the information being said to us for the first hour and a half and there was no issues at all, we were having a great time. However, after the hour and a half, our tour guide Elisa stopped and asked me to stop talking over her because "all she kept hearing was my voice" which was disrupting the tour. I of course apologized for the inconvenience but explained that I was trying to translate so the information about things and buildings we were currently passing wouldn't get lost on us. She then came over to us and told me to stop talking and that she could understand and speak our language and that was confusing her. She also said she would pause more so I would have time to translate for my parents, which didn't happen at all. What is worse is that, for the rest of the tour, she proceeded to ignore my parents; but given that she said that she could speak our language, it would have been nice of her to at least address them. This outburst happened in front of the rest of the passengers and again we felt unwelcomed and singled out for not being english speakers. On our way to the cliffs, the driver was speeding down the country roads. This made us feel sick due to the uneven and twisted nature of these roads. The cliffs themselves were hidden by fog, which wasn't anyone's fault, but we enjoyed our own time there nevertheless. Then, on our way to Galway, the driver kept speeding on the narrow and bumpy roads, which made us feel unsafe and even more sick. Finally, on our way back to Dublin, the driver ran through 2 red lights at "Heuston station" and by "Bachelors Walk", which is reckless and unsafe. The driver also grabed my boyfriend by the shoulder and shoved him as we were getting off the bus, trying to talk to him. This, once again, made us feel uncomfortable. All in all, my parents, boyfriend and I made the best of the places we visited and the time we spent together, but our experience was dulled by a rude tour guide and a reckless driver. read more

Whole trip was a total blast. We had Dave as our guide and Colin as our driver and they made the day one of our favorite while in Dublin for the week. You do need to be prepared for a long day as you're gone for just over 12 hours with all the travel but they made it such a fun and easy experience. On our first trip to Ireland, we discovered that the island is not only beautiful, but it's people are definitely one of it's national treasures. Our tour to the WIcklow mountains, Killkenny and Glentrails along with our guide Liam and driver Warren exemplified this and were the highlight of our visit to Ireland. The day long tour started out in Dublin where there was as choice of 3 conveniently located stops. After the last pick up, we proceeded out of the city whilst hearing Liam's narrative of surrounding areas. He narrative was not only informative, but quite entertaining. We were afforded plenty of time (2hours) in the Killkenny and at the monastic site which revealed some very stunning scenery. The last stop on the tour was to a working sheep farm where there was a demonstration of a sheep dog herding sheep. All in all it was a truly delightful day. read more

I can't appreciate Stipe enough, I still have no idea how he could get us into some of the locations he did with that bus but it was impressive. Our host Stephen was ok, telling us a lot about his family history and about being proud of being an O'Malley. It really got quite boring. I used to love Wild Rover Tours and have taken four trips with them. But on June 29, I was denied a front row seat I had requested months in advance due to severe motion sickness , even though I arrived first and no one else needed the seat. The front seats were later given to the last arriving guests , while I was offered a vomit bag instead. They claimed a policy now bans people with motion sickness from sitting up front , something I was never told before, and inconsistent with my past experiences. I brought two friends and was embarrassed after hyping up their service. The response I got was full of excuses, no accountability, and no gesture to make things right. I wasn't asking for any special treatment that would inconvenience the company nor the other guests. I arrived first but was not accommodated in spite of the fact that there were no guests with mobility issues on the tour and to add insult to injury they gave the front seats to the last 4 people who boarded the bus, which was unfair, uncaring, and almost appeared to be spiteful. If you have any medical condition , especially one that's not visible , don't expect empathy or flexibility. Extremely disappointed after years of loyalty and referrals. I won't be recommending them again. Edit - response to business owner Thank you, John, for your response. While I appreciate the acknowledgment of my past loyalty and referrals, I'd like to clarify a few important points: 1. I did receive the infographic and the suggestion that the middle rows are generally recommended for motion sickness. However, at no point was it stated that front row seating was explicitly off-limits for people with motion sickness. If I had been informed that my request would be denied outright due to a strict policy, I would definitely have made different arrangements. 2. While I understand the theory behind recommending the middle of the bus, for many people with motion sickness including myself , the front row is the most effective location. It allows for an unobstructed forward view, better airflow, and the ability to anticipate movement, all of which help prevent nausea. This has been my personal experience on four previous Wild Rover tours, where front seating allowed me to travel without issue. 3. On the day of the tour, I boarded first, yet the front row was given to the last guests to board once it was determined that no one with mobility issues needed them. Despite my early arrival and prior request, my condition was not taken into account. Instead, I was handed a vomit bag. That was not only dismissive but also deeply disappointing. 4. No effort was made to offer an alternative or show flexibility offering to reschedule/ cancel for refund if I feel uncomfortable continuing or extending any gesture of goodwill. I was not asking for special treatment that would inconvenience anyone, simply for a reasonable accommodation I had relied on in the past. I'm sharing this not to be combative, but because I genuinely hope Wild Rover reconsiders how it handles non-visible medical needs. A more transparent and empathetic approach would go a long way toward maintaining the trust of loyal, returning guests. I stand by my review. read more

Took the day tour from Dublin to Belfast. Chose the Black Cab option. On their website it described the Black Cab as a tour of political murals of the history of Northern Ireland and of life in Belfast during the The Troubles. It was definitely not so. It was streets and streets of pro Palestine murals with people marching with pro Palestine flags. I felt like we were in a pro Palestine march. We were stuck in the cab tour for 2 hours. We didn't feel safe. I would not recommend. read more

Very well planed trip. We knew up front there are no restroom in the busses and that the trip is long. But we think it was worth it all. There are suitable breakes to visit toilets etc. We brought snacks and sandwich and sparkling water. Eve was strickt and fair, and we all know much more about the history of Ireland. Tanks! This was our first time in Dublin and we knew we wanted to see more than the city. The Cliffs of Moher/Galway tour was just the thing. The drive to was gorgeous, full of lovely scenery we took in as Josh shared knowledge about the area and Ireland in general. The Cliffs were amazing - absolutely worth it. That said - come in rain proof gear, good grippy shoes and some leg strength as steps, hiking and powerful wind is a part of the experience. Galway is fun but the stop is brief for both eating at a sit down spot and shopping/exploring. if you want more time to shop, grab something quick and easy to save time. We opted to eat in a pub (Guinness stew!) and take more time and we didn't regret it but it was a concession - do what's best for you. My husband I agree that staying Galway for the night and coming back the next would be a good idea if they have room for it on the next days bus (check with the tour company first to make sure it's possible). The 4 instead of 5 stars is simply because we'd have loved one more hour in Galway so that we could have our cake and eat it too. The tour logistics are great - on time (come 20 mins early to be safe), bathroom break 2 hours in, then 1 hour ish to the Cliffs, 2 hours there (plenty of time to check out the view points, potty break and check out the visitor center), then a lovely drive to Galway. Sarah and Josh were knowledgeable and incredibly capable tour guides and drivers. I would highly recommend Wild Rover to anyone looking for a tour and WHEN we come back to Ireland, I'll be booking with them for my tours. read more
