Bought a battery, broke after it's second use. Took it back, had to buy another one (with a whole $2 discount). This one worked but wouldn't charge so I took it back. Even the manager couldn't get it to charge, but I still had to buy another one (this time, a whopping $4 off). So all in all, I spent $42 for a battery worth $12. I bought something for 5.73, I handed this kid behind the counter a hundred dollar bill and he hands me back 20 and change. When I told him I handed him a 100 and I better be getting back more than that, he proceeded to argue with me. Until he finally opened the register and saw my hundred right on top.. considering this is a smoke shop, I find the employees behavior highly questionable. Dawg fuck wild side. Just brought a torch in to figure out what size butane I needed to use to fill it since it's small, they said it was defective and I bought a new torch and butane. I specifically asked if I could return it intending on not using it, buying it just in case I may need it. I walked outside, used the butane I just bought on my mini torch, it WORKED, so I walked back in and tried to return my torch, to which I was told they only give store credit. Cool. I walked in to check the place out. they have a great selection of premium glass, etc. I asked about a small scale and the guy showed me a very small scale that was 45 DOLLARS!!! LOL yeah right dude. I recently purchased a vap from this shop. After being lied to by the sales person. I was not given a receipt and was sold a G pro vap that does not work. I was told by the sales person that it did not emit any vapor at time of exhale. That was a huge lie because if you watch the video on u tube it emits a large vapor at exhale. I was told I got a deal and could sell it on amazon. 10 dollars off is not a deal when you can print a $10.00 coupon on line from the manufacturer. Yes this is something that could of been avoided had I known that this was a shop with poor customer relations. I surely would not of entered this shop had I known how dishonest the sales staff are. Bought a $70 piece here, when I took it home and filled it up with water it leaked badly. I called the next day and the store wouldn't let me return or exchange it. The guy on the phone said this isn't the first time something like this has happened, but management wouldn't let him help me. So if you buy here, or probably any other wild side, test your purchase in store as much as possible because apparently the responsibility of quality control falls to the customer here and it's up to you to make sure your purchase doesn't have some invisible defect that renders it useless. read more

No return policy, terrible customer service. So I went to Wild Side yesterday, and bought a Viva Nova tank and 15ml of e-liquid. I smoke a few hits of the liquid over the course of the day, and wake up the next morning to find the tank I purchased sitting in a puddle of liquid (luckily I hadn't left it on the battery over night). I wipe it off completely, and leave it sitting upright for an hour and a half to test if it's actually leaking. I come back later to find that it is covered in liquid. So I gather it up and hop on my bike to go return the (clearly defective) merchandise. When I get there, I tell the guy behind the counter my story and he decides to see for himself, no surprise. So he sets it upright for 2 minutes, says it's fine, and then I point out the liquid clearly visible on the outside of the tank. He's like 'Okay', wipes it off an tries again. Same thing happens. So I say "Alright, you guys sold me this clearly defective merchandise, can I get a refund or exchange?" thinking they might be a reasonable company with a modicum of customer service. And he says, "Due to the nature of many of our products we do not have a return policy". They. Do. Not. Have. A return policy. So in essence, they cheated me out of my money by selling me something that was clearly defective, so much so that it didn't even work A DAY LATER. (The guy I tried to return it to was the same one who had sold it to me in the first place, btw). I would have tried to contact them via e-mail to get this sorted out, but they have no site nor any form of internet presence, so I'm left with this option of letting you guys know not to shop there. I came to wild side and waited 20 minutes for the guy working behind the counter to finish talking to his friend. Not only that but I'm pretty sure he was high on something. Earlier that week i had purchased an ejuice ecigaret that broke due to its bad quality and the rubber sealant coming off. So this time I purchased a better quality one for more money only to find out the next morning that it too was cracked and had leaked all over my night stand. I called the next morning and the employee that answered informed me that I cannot exchange it and that I can buy a new one for 10% off. Told me the manager would call me since I was upset at the poor quality of costumer service, yet I never received a call. I would recommend not waisting your money and instead getting the same product offline for less. That way you won't waist extra money on something that's going to break within a day or two. If this comment is deleted yet again, it's saved so ill just repost it. What's the point of yelp if people can't post their opinion about your poor establishment. Really really bad customer service. Sold me a vape pen, which was defective. The very next day, I took it back in. They told me they could do nothing about it and I would have to contact the manufacturer myself. They do no returns, but I said, thats o the assumption that what they sell works. Very unhelpful. Might have a selection, but only interested in making the bucks. Beware the no returns or exchanges policy. Any reputable store makes sure a nonreturnable product has all the pieces or is functional. Buying here is taking a chance with your money... other stores have the product charged and show you how to operate. I wish I could give them less than 1 star. Their customer service is horrible. I bought an Atomizer replacement after being told it was a genuine part. It stopped working 3 days later. They told me to come in since I had only had it a short time so that it could be worked out. I wasted a trip, they said that they could not replace it because I had used it, how would I know it didn't work if I had not used it? And they had failed to tell me this before I made the half hour drive to get this fixed. They proceeded to tell me they had no return policy and that they could sell me a replacement for 5 dollars off. How convenient that they have no return policy when their stuff breaks immediately after, and why would I want to spend more money for a new one just to go through this in another couple days. My first and last visit to this Liberty Rd location was pretty poor. Unless you are looking for glass pipes, I wouldn't even stop in. I was only visiting to check out their vape selection and was extremely disappointed. The only member of staff that I met was extremely friendly when I called about their hours, but when I got inside he said that glass pipes were half-off and that was the end of customer service. I sat at the vape bar and noticed the prices were a little high, which is normal for the area, but the deals on larger quantities of liquid were almost nothing. I sat and waited for about 20 minutes, looking over at the guy and checking out their very tiny selection and flavor book, and was never approached or acknowledged. Several glances and waves did not gain any attention and I'm not the kind of person that will yell across a room so I didn't try that, I just left. Disappointed that I was not even able to try a single flavor, I decided to cross this shop off my list of places to return to. read more

Their wraps and small bowls leave something to be desired. All in all the store itself is pretty average. The customer service is a joke, the main proprietor of the store is a snake oil salesman, They are not on your side, they are there to make money. They do not value their customers. They also do not support local blowers. They purchase all their pipes from large west coast manufacturers. They are a chain. Wild Side is the Wal-Mart of the head shop universe. Please support your local blowers! Support Locally owned stores, not a bunch of white collar used car salesmen. Please do not shop here, they claim local stores "aren't even competition" and basically told me that my happiness with the product meant nothing after they got their grubby little hands on the cash. This place is just fantastic. The selection of vaporizers is solid, if unspectacular, although they are missing the Volcano. The real gem however lies in their pipes. hey have probably the best selection of pipes, water or otherwise, I have seen in Southeast Michigan. They lack much of the hippy paraphernalia of other head shops, no posters, black lights, or hippy clothes, but if you are looking for that stuff I suggest you find a hot tub and hope it is a time machine to take you back to the 60s. heir collection of scales is unrivaled in the city and their collection of carbonite pipes is easily the biggest and best I have seen all at reasonable prices. The only downside (apart from the lack of volcanoes) is the refund/return policy. There is none. Buyer beware. So make sure you know what you want when you come in. Don't buy a piece for a vaporizer unless it is the piece you need for YOUR vaporizer. read more

First, I visited the store on Plymouth rd in Ann Arbor, so i really cant speak on the liberty store. However, i'm pretty sure they are owned by the same people. I was born and raised in ann arbor but have been living in LA for close to 5 years...i traveled back here to see friends and family so i thought i would pack my Gpen for the trip. Since you cant really pack a chamber full of wax in your baggage i figured i would pick up a new chamber in town...POOR CHOICE. First, the girl tells me the gpen is known to be deffective...yet out in the heart of cannabis country the Atmos, tripystix, and gpens are great..ive had mine forever without problems. They had some version THEY like that that they were pushing...dont believe me. Look up High Times review of vape pens, u will see gpen, atmos, and trippystix...when brought thr battery portion of the pen to see if they had an attatchment to fit..she looked at my like i pulled a loaded gun out of my pocket...this was the BATTERY! I check this in my baggage! TSA didnt care...it doesnt even touch the wax. Granted she could have been just following procedure, but it was borderline offensive. Maybe the glass is better? I dunno. Im not trying to slam Michigan, but i was blown away by my experience. read more
