The first time they came out we had a septic emergency, with horrible flooding and a huge mess. They got here quickly and fixed the problem. We have had them out several times after and they have always done excellent work and they are very respectful of our property and very friendly and polite. I wouldn't want to use any other plumber. Looks like most of the complaints are about the pricing. I'd rather pay a little more and get the job done right myself. We haven't had to have them come back for a job that wasn't done right. Absurd, rip off prices!!!! I get that things are busy in the Flathead, but that is no excuse to jack their prices up the way they have, which are approaching scam levels. They are charging approx. $200+ markup/hour ON TOP of what they are paying the actual plumbers. They don't show up or deliver quotes on time. They mislead you regarding timelines, causing big delays. I was looking for a plumber who could start a project ASAP and I only wanted to get quotes from people who would be available soon to do the work since you have to pay for quotes with them. They were supposed to come on Tuesday to provide an estimate. They assured me they could start work that same week. After several delays, they came on Wednesday. I was charged $89 for the estimate. Not only did they not start work that week, they didn't even deliver the estimate that week. It took a whole additional week just to get the estimate typed up. Then, I was told they could start work this week. Then, I was told they couldn't it would be an additional week. Here we are 3 weeks out from when they were supposed to be able to start. Because of this, the tile installer was no longer available and this created a massive delay. I would have never paid $89 for an estimate if they had told me upfront it would be 3 weeks before they could start! But never mind that, after assuring me they had reasonable, fair pricing, I was completely shocked how high the estimate was. For example, we knew from watching our other contractor do it that it is possible to demo & remove a fiberglass tub in under an hour. They listed this as a $371 fee. Plumbers making $371 for 45 mins of work. More than many doctors!!!! I confronted the guy directly and said "Hey you said this project would take X hours. Based on the number of hours you said and the number of guys you need, you're charging $285 an hour!! Based on even high wages for plumbers, this is a $200/hr mark up on top of what the actual plumbers are making, is this correct?" He said that was correct. Our sink plugged up and it wasn't a disposal problem or anything our 20' snake could reach. Called these guys on a Friday afternoon. Troy was at our house 1.5 hours later. Thoroughly professional, polite, courteous and totally clean, covered his shoes and the floor and under the sink. Explained what he was doing. Checked crawl space for any problem there and had us up and running within an hour. Made a couple of noteworthy suggestions and we are TOTALLY pleased. Will definitely recommend this company to others and if a need arises we will call Wild West again! read more

Stay away. They came out and estimated $1578 for a minor shower fix. Boom. I asked for a material/labor breakdown and he said "they don't do it that way". I asked how long it would take, he said 6 hours. They charged $139 for a trip charge. I found a licensed plumber for $400, $150 material and $250 labor. His trip charge was $25. It'll take 3 hours. I'm not "happy today" and I still did pay. I should've read all the yelp reviews first. read more

New to Kalispell when this occurred so I opened up yellow pages picked largest ad (BIG MISTAKE) because I needed a quote to fix a partially stripped out shower knob. The guy showed up a few hours late and then told me he needed $75 CASH UP FRONT to give me an estimate which i paid him (NEVER AGAIN) then he spent maybe 3 minutes writing a estimate for $1200 and told me it could be more if he has to go under my house. Well that was a waste of $75 so I went down to local Hardware store to buy the parts to do it myself and happen to tell the guy at counter my pleasant first experience of living in Kalispell and he laughed and gave me the number of an HONEST local licensed 30 yrs experienced journeyman plumber and he came out that evening at 5pm and had it fixed by 6pm and charged me $150 and I gave him $200 and said thank you so much for great deal and he then handed me $50 change telling me he only charged me $150 because it was a short notice or would've been closer to $100. Sorry just being 100% honest here and now that I have heard the EXACT same story from countless other people i think it's pretty clear Wild West plumbing is EXTREMELY high and what was even worse than the paying the $75 for 3 minutes work was the guy was a complete a'sshole read more

i had a water heater replaced and made a rash decision with wild west plumbing before comparing prices. my water heater retails for less than $1500 and i was charged nearly $4000 after all was set and done. In my opinion $2500 installation and warranty is rather excessive. read more
