Instead of a relaxing massage, I spent 60 minutes being sold on LifeVantage products while she worked. I have several serious medical conditions and have spent a lot of time and energy exploring alternative medicine, supplements, and holistic treatments. To have someone use that vulnerable position as an opportunity to push an MLM-style sales pitch felt pretty inappropriate and predatory. And it didn't stop there. After my appointment, she used my phone number from her system to text me, and then text me again in a group text connecting me with another LifeVantage rep to continue pushing products. No one, and especially friends with chronic health issues, should have to endure these kinds of sales pitches in what are supposed to be healing spaces. It left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed, and I no longer feel good about supporting a business and business owner who engages in this kind of practice, whether intentionally or not.
