I used to love going to this place but today and lately I've been feeling like they give me old and over cooked food. I placed an order for pick up (wings and chicken quesadilla) as i arrived my order wasn't read. Once i received my food and got home my guacamole for my quesadilla was already blackened , my wings were dry old and over cooked , as if It had been sitting out all day and they threw It back in the fryer. I tried to use their online order form so we could get take out. The order form is very poorly done. It gives the option to choose celery or carrots (or neither), then when you scroll down it forces you to once again choose celery or carrots or neither under the heading "Celery". I didn't understand why it did that, but since I couldn't complete the order without filling that part out, I did so. When I went to check out I got an error message saying something to the effect of the order could not be completed because "celery is not available with ten piece wings". I switched to carrots. "Sorry...carrots not available with ten piece wings". I switched to neither. "Sorry no celery or carrots is not available with ten piece wings." There was NO option to just not click on that category. The form forces you to choose something before you can go on. Anyhow...then I called. I was prepared to be patient as I know restaurants are understaffed. But it was so loud there that it took me three tries just to get the girl to get the name on the order. Me: Jeffrey. Her: Jenny? Me: No, JEFFREY...JEFF. Her: Jessie? Me: NO...J-E-F-F. No response. I ask "did you get that?" She never acknowledges but asks for my order. I begin to give my order and she says she has to check if they can do all flats for me (I have ordered all flats there many times over the years). She puts me on hold. When she comes back the call is breaking up and I can't hear her. I tell her that and she hangs up. Because we do love their wings, my husband is going up to order in person...but DO BETTER WILD WING CAFE. One of my favorite places to eat, hell I chose to re-enlist here! The wings are meaty and delicious. They're not the best I've had, but I will say their the best I've had in the area thus far. The service is usually decent, lunch is a great deal and If you're up for eating 20 wings the buy 10 get 10 is good too. Wing flavors are real good, I prefer Red Dragon, the General, and on occasion Fireball. The menu is expansive, wings, burgers, BBQ, sandwiches, entrees, what more can you ask for? Drink selection is good with some local beer choices and tasty mixed drinks that are averagely priced. If you time it right you can catch a good drink special, and as long as someone sober is driving you home you'll have a good time. Hopefully you show up at the right time and they're not packed. Live bands and sports rivalries draw a big crowd and you may experience a considerable wait. Get 10 wings to start (2 different flavors) and then you can order 6 more at a time (2 different flavors) after that. I tried the medium hot sauce,chipotle jolt, bubba's bbq, and ragin' cajun. Because wings are my favorite food I've tried a lot of wing places in Hampton roads and this so far is my 2nd favorite. Now we made the mistake of going on a playoffs night. (Won't make that mistake again.) So our service was not the greatest. But I'm not going to hold that against them because it was busy as hell. According to their menu they have all house made sauces and I wish I could remember the 3 I tried but we waited so long for our food. (40 mins) that I was too hangry to really think about anything. My friend had to remind me to take a picture. Lol anyway I like my wings extra crispy but on one of the flavors I ordered it's more of like a dry rub so it caused the wings to be a little too charred. So I probabaly won't get that one again. But the rest of my food was great! And other than those one wings they were cooked perfectly. Another thing I liked was they give you a choice of cucumbers rather than just celery and carrots. I love cucumbers so that was a nice surprise. Also the ranch was good which is important when it comes to wings. My boyfriend got the boneless which looks more like nuggets. But he enjoyed them. My only complaint, other than the wait for the food, was we ordered some fries which costs $3.99 and the little bucket was pretty small. Not really enough to share. Ate here a few years ago and loved it!! Went here last night and our entire group of 13 was miserable. 1- it took over an hour and a half to get our food (there were 5 kids in our group so this is just not acceptable)-this was a Thursday. 2- our waiter, who was nice, did not check in with us for the entire time. 3- once food finally did arrive-the kids dinners were fine, 2 house salads were very old and lettuce tasted gross (I picked out a quarter of the lettuce as it was not edible), fajita wrap was tasty-but it took over 12 minutes once food was out to get fajita sauce that did not come out, a chicken salad was ordered NOT HOT-as in plain fried chicken substitution, it came out too spicy to eat and we were told grilled chicken was the only option with no spice-it was sent back-then canceled after waiting 30 min for a replacement, 2 orders of wings-1 garlic, 1 honey came out as siracha and buffalo-both not edible for the guests, the burger was fine, but cold fries, the tacos came out with 1 onion ring on it, and fries, all were cold-and not edible to guests. Each tab was approx $35 per 2 guests- so over $200- for by far the worst service and food I have had in awhile. Some much needed improvements need to take place. read more

I'm so upset with my last visit that it has been almost a week and I still felt the urge to leave this review. My S/O and I took my mother and her best friend here along with my son and the experience was extremely disappointing! The food is usually the deciding factor between a good review and a bad one because the service 9/10 is terrible. This time the food was awful and the service was as well! We got in around 8pm and the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. The server was great at first. Got our drinks and took our order promptly. It was when we waited over 45 mins to get our order to find that all has reached the table but mine. The server explained that the cooks in the back accidentally over-cooked mine and immediately started cooking another while the server had my meal removed from our bill. I appreciate that immensely and accidents happen as we are simply human. What really bothered me is how I waited another 45 mins for my food to be done while our table had all finished minus my son because his food was burnt. At this point, being in the cold restaurant was not at all enjoyable and we had to literally ask for our server to the table for everything we further needed. She never refilled one drink and we had to ask another server to get her for our tab as she walked to every table around us without noticing we were finally finished. I wish this place would amp it up better. When I go, it never seems busy enough for this kind of service. If something doesn't happen, I'm going to have to find somewhere else to go to. read more

My check in was very good. Ms. NaDeen was very friendly and professional. My room was clean but, I didn't sleep at all last night. It was very loud and I was next to the laundry I called the front desk to request to be moved but the receptionist never called me back. The laundry room and hallway on the 2nd floor was busy and loud until after 2am this morning. I called again to see what time it will close and was told it doesn't. I checked out this morning. I was scheduled to stay at this location for 5 days but I checked due to lack of sleep because of the noise. Here are pictures of my door In my room and I'm sure that was I heard every noise and my room was by the laundry room. I ask to be moved but never received a call back. This is definitely one of my favorite spots to be on a lazy evening in Greenbrier. I have only ever sat at the bar and continue to have wonderful service from everyone who works the bar. I appreciate that they recognize me now and know what I like to order, but even before that happened, I always had great service. They have a pretty simple beer selection with a few unique options. Beer is cheaper here than most other spots around, which is perfect. I've had a few different menu items from here, but pretty much consistently order the feathers so I can stay on my keto diet. The feathers are AMAZING. They are just grilled chicken strips but they are cooked up so wonderfully. I've had bone in and boneless wings from here, as well - and loved them. They've got a lot of different sauces to choose from, a few seem almost the same or gimicky, but overall, I've never been disappointed. Their side of broccoli is delicious! Onion rings, tots, and veggie skewers are all super good, as well. I've always been impressed with their burgers and salads, as well. I've had a few appetizers - the mozzarella sticks and fried shrooms stick out are some of the better options. Overall, you won't be disappointed in their food and beer, especially for the price. My boyfriend and I come here to play golden tee often and still get great service even when we are lingering off in the corner playing. There are tons of TVs which make watching sports here fun. The bartenders are always ready to change the channel to something else you are trying to see if you ask. The only thing I sometimes don't like about this place is when they do have live music, it is way too loud. It makes it very hard to hear the person next to you. I can NOT imagine what the workers in restaurants are going through to accommodate patrons at this time but I am appalled at how I was treated here. we went in, added our name to the waitlist (were told 30 minutes no big deal) we have a baby so we didn't want to sit and wait and decided to go down to a store in the shopping center. got a text message within 5 minutes and immediately called to say hey we are on the way now please don't give our table away. While trying to explain this the guy says if you want to be added to the waitlist you need to come inside (he cut me off) I said we are already on the waitlist we just wanted to say please don't give our table away and VERY rudely he says "well how long are you gonna be?" However, they changed their Tuesday special from buy 10, get 10 free to buy 6, get 6 free with the purchase of a drink. I kind of like this special better because it is easier for me to share with someone and not feel overly full. Downside, no leftovers for the next day. Oh well. I always get a side salad with my wings with honey mustard. I love that it comes with cheesy bread, so delicious. The fries are also a good side. For the wing flavors, I love the honey mustard, gold rush, flaming parmesan, and loco bueno. You honestly can't go wrong with whatever flavor you choose. The service is great and everyone is always super nice. Expect a decent wait when coming in on a Tuesday, but it is worth it! read more

Firstly I'd like to note that I'm super picky about my wings and typically hate trying new wing places because they always disappoint. Its always one thing or another either the batter is bad, wings aren't cooked properly, sauces are bland/the flavor is off or worst of all the ranch is some kind of bottled thick hidden valley type ranch GROSS! but I'm so glad I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try this place. Wings were amazing and the ranch is definitely made in house! We ended up getting the 30 wings with 5 flavors and every single one was AMAZING! My favorite by far was the lemon pepper. I loved that they had a different twist on the typical lemon pepper rub it was more of a creamy style sauce with the perfect balance of lemon and pepper. Our server tori was on top of it. She had multiple tables but my husband never once had to ask for another beer she always had one out before he had finished his previous beer(he had mentioned when we sat down to keep them coming). The prices were also super reasonable. If you are a fan of mexican beers and margaritas Thursdays are the day to go! (3 dollar cervesas and 4 dollar margaritas) we will definitely be making this a regular spot while we are staying in Virginia. read more
