I'm a big proponent of acupuncture, and as a result, have probably seen a dozen or so acupuncturists in the LA area. I've been with Dr. Laura Mann for over a year and she is literally in a class of her own... Everything about her care is top notch - she has supported me through a host of health conditions and I have found her to be highly intelligent, intuitive and supremely knowledgable about how everything is connected. I happened to drive by the cute store-front here, looked them up on Yelp and, consequently, called for an appointment. It's such a lovely space (I told them it's like a Tardis - IYKYK) that truly evokes a sense of calm. I was able to ask a lot of questions and felt very welcome and that I was in good hands. Today was my first ever experience with acupuncture. It was a fantastic experience. Firstly, the facility itself is tranquil and warm-very calming. Chris, at the front desk was very nice. Laura, the acupuncturist, who is very friendly, asked me some preliminary questions to get a sense of what I needed out of this visit. I asked lots of questions since it was my first time and she happily answered everything. She was very gentle and explained each step she was taking. I couldn't even feel the needles. When all were in place she dimmed the lights and stepped out of the room for a while. The entire time there was tranquil music playing and I slipped into such a deep relaxed state. When she returned to remove the needles, she also did some massage on my trapezius muscles and some cupping on my back. All in all this was a fabulous experience. I will definitely return and will likely gift a visit to my partner in the future. And of course the location being in Toluca Lake is perfect because right after a relaxing treatment, you can treat yourself to a stroll through the village neighborhood and enjoy some good food and shopping. read more

This was my first experience with acupuncture, and as I am very 'needle phobic' I was a bit hesitant, but I really wanted to see if it would help with my hip and leg issues. Laura is incredibly gentle and exacting. I did not even know that she put the little pins until she told me that they were already inserted! Laura is incredible! I play Jean Valjean in the National Tour of Les Misérables, a role that requires a lot from me not only vocally, but physically. We are currently in Los Angeles and I tweaked my back at the gym, so I had some movement but the muscles were angry. I had a really great experience! This was my first time ever trying acupuncture, I've always wanted to. Laura was wonderful! The space is really lovely and peaceful. When the session started, Laura asked questions to learn more about me and what I would like to treat. I then laid down while she placed the acupuncture needles, I couldn't even feel them going in. I came to Laura at a really low time after having two miscarriages and feeling pretty lost. She got me on a path to rebuild my body, and to balance my hormones. Had to jump on here to recommend Laura as an acupuncturist. I work in the arts so I am not new to the incredible healing a good acupuncturist can facilitate, but Laura is next level brilliant and also incredibly kind. Her office is clean and very relaxing. Laura takes so much time to check in with you before the treatment that by the time you're on the table your blood pressure has already dropped and you are in a great place to move some energy around. I came in for some jaw pain I'd been dealing with and after two sessions, my jaw is looser and my overall mood is lighter as well. Laura is very meticulous, warm, whip smart and professional. She instantly put me at ease when we first met. I sought her out because of my anxeity and sleep issues. She attentively listened to my symptoms and took careful notes of my health history. She tries different strategies to address my concerns for that week. For example, one week I injured my shoulder during a workout so she placed extra needles to calm the inflammation around the shoulder while addressing my sleep issues. My shoulder felt better within two days. My other symptoms are slowly improving. I definitely feel relaxed all day after treatment. She takes notes at every appointment and refrences them the next time she sees me. She also offers treatments other than acupuncture to target various issues. I am so grateful to have discovered Laura at Wildflower Acupuncture. I was suffering from debilitating carpal tunnel symptoms to the point that I was having trouble sleeping because of it.
