Too much turn over. Ive been coming here for four years and in that time i have had 3 dentists and 3 hygienists leave. The office staff/ intake have sour faces and extremely curt. Very unpleasant experience. The dental hygienist Jesus Hernandez quality of care is 5 stars all the way but Today office staff told me that his last day is next week in the most indifferent and unpleasant way. Upon my first consultation in the office to receive bottom dentures, they crafted a treatment plan for me. I went ahead and had my lower teeth, pulled by an oral surgeon that they bring in to the office once a month. His bedside manner was terrible. They inserted the temporary denture and informed me that I needed to let my gums heal for approximately one year. Just recently made appointment to go get fitted for my permanent dentures and they no longer do them. Met with the office manager, and she stated that they were having problems with the lab they used So discontinued that service and referred me elsewhere. I find that it is unacceptable for a dentist that does these kinds of procedures to not seek out another lab that makes dentures that has a good reputation. Patient here for 8 years. I hate changing dentists, but i finally did and I am SO GLAD! First - it's a revolving door of dentists and hygienist. Maybe you get 2 years and then poof - your dentist is gone. Once you are a patient - good luck getting the dentist to see you. They charge for the dentist seeing you, but you only see the hygienist most of the time. The worst are the prices. Over $6000 for an implant. That's what got me to leave. The absolute worst office management I have seen at a doctors or dentists office. My appointment was for 10:30am. I was called the day before to come in at 11:30am. I arrive at 11:15am and I am sitting there waiting until 1:15pm. Don't even ask the front office girls a question as all she does is sit on her ass and answer the phone. I've been a patient at this office since I moved to Florida about a year and a half ago. The office and its equipment are clean, modern, and up-to-date. I really like that they that are able to do same day, premium quality crowns. All the staff are pleasant, today's assistant was Lauryn. Dr. Tolmie is the best! He is so kind, he takes his time with you, and explains things thoroughly. I feel he is truly concerned about the welfare of his patients. My husband got a crown. He was charged $1000. Not arguing with the money. My problem is insurance says the customer should pay 300 and some dollars. They tell me it's because of a different type of material that was used on the crown. I have never heard of insurance not taking that into account and indicating that we should've paid $1000 instead of 300. Not even questioning whether we should pay $1000, but I know since insurance won't verify. read more

Had 3 emergency dental needs and when I went in they had me sign a paper. I signed and was helped. Come to find out they had me sign a paper for the most expensive care I could receive. The reason they had me sign was because they knew my insurance wouldn't cover that amount and they make you sign so they can legally charge you the up-charge. That mistake cost me $2100. This place is a joke. I called and explained that I had a bunch of teeth that needed to come out in preparation for dentures and explained that my teeth were infected and hurting and that I had previously received quotes that were way to expensive for me since I don't have dental insurance. I went in the same day and met with the doctor only to receive a quote of over $14,500 to remove 10 teeth. That's more than double to next highest quote which was actually going to be more extensive work as that quote included adding bone so that, in the future, I can get implants. This quote was more than double the price for not nearly as much work. Why would you let someone waste their time coming in knowing they are on a tight budget and give them a price like that just to pull teeth? I told them I could do without the dentures for awhile to save money and that I would forgo the anesthesia and that's the best they could do???? Dentists are criminals, worst even than doctors. but they never miss a beat in trying to sell you a maintenence plan. There was zero compassion coming from anyone on that staff. I have heart disease and these teeth are very dangerous to keep in my mouth but they don't care one bit, It's all about money. read more

Beware of this dental provider. I have had good teeth and gums my whole life. They probed my gums with a sharp probe to get them to bleed and then said I had periodontal disease. They refused to do a regular cleaning and said I needed a deep cleaning at the cost of $566 after what insurance paid. I told them I would not be back. read more

I have been going here for a couple of years. You have to take the good with the bad with the slim selection of reputable dentist in this area. I believe, but have no solid proof that the hygienist are required to up sale with every patient and need to finish a cleaning within a very lean time frame. I have been told I need a cleaning ever 4 months, but my insurance only pays for ever 6 months. I was told I need antibiotic pockets placed in the gum line with this same pitch being given to a patient in the next exam room, of course at an additional cost. This last one was an antibacterial irrigation on 4 quadrants at an additional $11 per area. If I am going twice a year, brushing and flossing why should I need all these additional services? With all that being said you have the right to decline any services that you do not want to be performed. read more

I found out after 3 years of treatment, they never even filed a claim. I took them a paper claim in, and asked why they never filed a claim, they then cancelled my appointment. Avoid this place!! Read all the reviews!! They do unnecessary work and you pay the price! I went in for a broken crown. It was just broken, but not hurting. My teeth were really healthy. I floss every day and take care of my teeth. I was told the last tooth also needed a crown. At my next appointment, I asked the tech if he saw anything in the x-ray that would say I needed that second crown. He said no. Went back: I asked them to check the bite on the crowns. While adjusting the bite, the tech shaved two holes in my lip and they were bleeding. Omar did a 15 minute cleaning. This was the worst cleaning experience I have ever had. The tool he used felt like he was blasting away my gums. I could feel he was hitting nerves. I also wondered why he was going around my new crowns so much. I just got them 2 weeks ago. He slathered the polish onto my teeth with his finger. Fluoride treatment - Instead of putting it on each tooth gently like most do, he sprayed a stream of it all over my teeth. It was all over my mouth and lips when he was done. I went to a new dentist to have him check the crowns and all my teeth hurt from the cleaning. I told him I was afraid to go back to Wildwood Dentists and he said that I should speak directly with Miten Patel about having both crowns redone, because cement had "washed" away on both. I went back and neither Dentist would do anything about this problem. They actually told me they should do another crown on top of the two they did. My insurance should cover 2 cleanings a year, but these guys did some Gingivitis irrigation that cost me $360. Again, I had amazing teeth before I went to this place. This was my 1st time visit them because they offer a free x-ray and free consultation and willing to do the teeth clean at 1st visit. I just want to have regular teeth clean since my teeth are health has no paint & no sensitive. Their dentist evaluates my teeth in a lot of 4 and 5 which I never had, anywhere else always evaluate my teeth in 2 or 3. I really think this was a cheating. After that they tried to sale me a package of teeth treatment for $728. They refuse to do any king of the teeth clean beside their package. I really don't need their such expensive package so I left. Received a crown about two years ago from this practice. Was talked into the more expensive ceramic crown for about $1000. Crown fell out completely with the underlying tooth still in it while eating a sandwich the other day. I am almost 78 years old and I have super good teeth. I first when there because the other dentist was always trying to sell me on teeth work. I asked them if they would take my insurance and just do cleaning and they were glad to except me. Every six months I go and the hygienist raves over my teeth and tells me how great they are and how they are in great shape. I made my appointment six months ago for my bi annual cleaning but this time I got x rays first and a lousy check up by a person that had trouble with the English language and used a pick to go at my gums and got them bleeding. A Dentist came in and looked at x rays without looking at my teeth and then went and got their account who had been checking out what my insurance would pay and them came in and gave me a printed out sheet what it would cost me on my end. I never got my teeth cleaned and came home and called them and they said they would not give me a cleaning without first having all this work done. They needed to clean my teeth and then have the dentist look into my mouth and see if I needed any work. They refused to give me a simple cleaning because they wanted more money from me. This place is a scam praying on elderly that need not pay thousands of dollars for work that need not be done. I employ everyone to not go to this place, they teat us like cash cows and think we are rich because we retired to the Villages. Every six months there are different people working there and they will try to get every penny out of you and have your returning every four months and get into your wallet. The only thing this dentists office values is what's in your wallet. Here is the drill, they take X-rays, drop you in a chair and wallah the dentist appears. Now I've been going to dentist every 6 months for most of my life and typically the hygienist is the next step. Not here, the dentist quickly introduces himself, dives into my mouth counting all the way as the assistant records. I know what these numbers are and I also no that my former dentist gets these numbers by using a meter. Not here, eyeballing it is just fine! At the conclusion of his brief exam he announces, you got it, "a deep cleaning is needed!" I have read several other reviews about the deep cleaning crap. At which time I said nope, just a regular cleaning. To which he responded, well we can polish your teeth but, that's all we would be doing. Once again, I said nope and he asked if I would like to see the cost. Sure, with insurance $128.00. Rescheduled the "deep cleaning" for 2 days later. That's a lot cheaper than a round trip ticket home. Now I've had a couple of rough hygienist over the years and even referred to one of them as Eva Braun but, this was no where near as bad. In other words, this was nothing less than an UP-SALE and a tough hygienist! She was very nice but, it was an UP-SALE from the start. Needless to say, if I'm going to spend $128.00, I'll spend it on a plane ticket home where I have an honest dentist and grand children I can visit! Very disappointed with the hygenist. She was such in a hurry cleaning my teeth for 15 minutes. I had to keep telling her that there were rough spots and she was annoyed. It was not cleaned properly when I went two years ago. In 2 months, I had to go back to my previous dentist and hygienist about 4 hours away and they couldn't believe that it was not properly done. Worst experience I have ever had at a dentist!!! Stay far away from this place. Never in my life have I been to a dentist whose main goal is to only make sales. Since we moved to the Villages back in 2018 we ran behind on our visits due to tring to find a honest Dentist Group some one suggested Wildwood Dentistry on RT 44 bear Brownwood. Our first visit they had someone that I can only describe him as being like the finace person at a car dealership. He tried to up sell us on all things, BEWARE. Well we both had deep cleaning again mostly our fault. Well our first in November was over $700 for both according to them the insurance company wouldn't and dosen't pay for that service and the extras of fluoride treatments. They said when we come back in June there would be no cost to us because the insurance will cover the cost since we are entitled to 2 cleaning visits a year. Well today my wife went in the morning and was Charged over $40.00 which I found out later, when I went in the afternoon they wanted to charge me $74.00. I said no way she said you had Peridontic Disease. I said no I didn't. My gums and overall mouth health is good. I said this visit is surpose to be free according to my insurance and what we were told in November by your front desk. The Dental associate said that will be the price, I said not for me I am leaving and got out of the exam chair. I did tell her this is no reflection on you but I am not going to be ripped off again and I will be reporting this to United Healthcare and Social Media. I said have a nice day and left. First of all I have massive dental anxiety! I went for my consultation earlier in the week and made a plan of care of what I needed done. Of course like any place, they have to "sell" you on procedures. I felt pressured to make a decision immediately. Due to severe pain of exposed nerve, I scheduled appointment a couple days later to have a portion of the dental work completed. I arrived for my appointment, notified receptionist of which procedures I approved today. After two painful procedures, I was refused any pain medication. Like not even enough to get me through a day or two while my mouth recovers. I understand opioid regulations are stricter but providing painful dental work and then refuse pain medications at all in my book is NOT okay. I highly recommend that if you are in pain, find another dental practice! They have no compassion and only want your money at the end of the day. read more

The dental office has not submitted a claim to my insurance for work that was performed on August 14, 2019. As of today, there is no claim although I have had multiple telephone conversations including commitments that the claim has been submitted. I have spoken with Nick and Carly and both stated that the office manager, Angie, would call me since she seems to be out of the office each time that I ask to talk to her.
