I came to this practice in a sort of round about way, as I originally had an appointment with Village Smiles, but when they were scheduling my cleanings the soonest openings were at this office, Wildwood Dental Care. Apparently the same dentist owns both offices, so they schedule across them sometimes, but each doctors(s) practice at only one of the offices (I'm pretty sure). First off - if you're new, and you haven't had complete X-rays in awhile (or sent yours to them), you'll need a complete set plus panoramic ones. That's a lot of x-rays, and it wasn't how things were done where I use to live, but they explained it well and it forms a good baseline for moving forward. Once you go through the initial appointment, you won't need that many again. My first appointment was at Village Smiles - that office is very large, bright and new. Many exam rooms. The staff was friendly. After my initial exam and x-rays, I met with a coordinator who went over my treatment plan and then scheduled my follow up appointments. I needed deep cleaning, so had 2 follow up appointments. As I said earlier, they were at the Wildwood Dental Office with Monse, the dental hygienist there. She is AMAZING - highly recommend her. I'm nervous about the dentist and have a horrible gag reflex and had zero problems with her. While I was there, I got to meet Dr. Ortega, the dentist in that office. He was very nice and has a calming presence. He gave me my numbing shots and I had the opportunity to ask questions of him. We have a special needs young adult and I wanted to ask them if they could handle our situation. They were very patient answering my questions and I feel comfortable scheduling her with them in the coming months. They also offer the ability to get sedation prior to an appointment via a prescription, as well as the laughing gas. They want you to feel comfortable and they can talk to you about all the options. They also do a wide range of procedures, as well as Invisalign. This office is smaller than the Village Smiles office, and older, but I much prefer this one. It feels comforting and less busy. If you are a nervous dental patient, this office has a relaxing vibe and the staff is great. They take dental insurance, as well as work with patients if they don't have insurance. We found our new dentist. Highly recommend.

Giving birth was easier…read more Based on the "oral surgery " consultation I failed to realize this isn't an oral surgery practice. My fault. Self pay, no insurance. Went back twice expressing pain. Doctor never came in to check, no call to check on post op needs. Used X-rays and tech reports to advise my care. She was wonderful, and not a dentist. Today, almost two months later, I saw my NY family dentist, he removed a small floating bone spur. Determined necessary after a quick physical examination. It took about thirty seconds to remove. Wow! Already feels better. I recommend using an oral surgeon for extraction, and if there are post op issues insisting on seeing the dentist. There was no need for me to suffer this long.

From the initial call to the appointment, the staff here made it a very easy and smooth process. The facilities are spacious and modern. The aesthetics from the lobby to the rooms lend an air of spa-like relaxation. The people are where this practice truly shines. They made me feel comfortable and at ease. They seem to know that going to the dentist is not at the top of my list of favorite places, but their friendliness and professionalism put you at ease right away. Even in dealing with my insurance, they filed the paperwork for me. If you have any qualms about going to the dentist, this should be your first stop.

They did exactly what I was afraid of them doing. Do not recommend unless you want to be charged more than what you bargained for. 812 dollars for a cleaning is outrageous. They should be forced to tell you how much they are going to come after you for when they fail to scam your insurance.

Nice sized waiting room that's clean and comfortable facing the front office staff! It even is kid friendly with a little kid's area that had a kiddie sized table with several little chairs that looked like teeth! The staff is exceptionally patient oriented and very knowledgeable about procedures and co payments. Exam rooms are decent sized and equipment looks up to date and well maintained. The Dentist had a great bedside manner and explained everything that was wrong with my molar - why I was in pain and that before it was extracted I had to be placed on antibiotics because I still had a residual infection and once that was cleared I would be referred to a oral surgeon. I was very pleased with this experience and will use this practice as my Dentist from now on. A much better experience than my last dentist!
