Shot a 30 on the back nine yesterday, Soup was on the house!! After my soup, I enjoyed some nice relaxation in the sauna. Fine gentlemen in there, I talked to my co-worker, Edith's, ex-husband, Roger, and it was good to check in on Edith post-INT. I digress. Table Creek is a fine establishment for golf, heart-warming conversations, and a fine bowl of Split Pea. I will probably make the drive back, as it is not far from my house, hopefully I can get a couple more shoots in before the weather turns south. I am excited to see how the leaves change, as since moving to Nebraska, the scenery hasn't been as exciting as I please- LOCALS ANY ADVICE? I guess I am a local, sigh. The new carts were fast and "executive" like compared to other courses. No two holes were alike and several were challenging as far as length and elevation. The only negative I could think of was a dead tree in front of the green on #18. Otherwise, it exceeded expectations.

The views of the Platte River are better, and the tree removal has also enhanced air movement on the course. Less fungus than before! The staff is nice, and the clubhouse nicer! I think it's worth the higher green fee. We didn't wait, or slow anybody else down. Tee times every 15 minutes helps spread things out.

The park was fully booked as it was Father's Day weekend, but it never felt crowded. I really enjoyed painting ceramics by the lake when it started raining and hiking the various trails. The cabin was clean and simple. I am rating four stars instead of five because there were a few things that could be easily improved. It was very hard to figure out what amenities were available in the cabin theough the web site, which made it kind of difficult to know what to bring with regards to cooking supplies and linens. I appreciated the cooking utensils, but I would have liked some form of skillet or griddle. We made do, but it was kind of oddfeying eggs in a pot. I was able to navigate the park without much trouble, but some of my family had a hard time finding the cabin, so maybe the signage could be more clear.

I went back tonight for takeout and it was a sad, sad experience. Sides were less than half the portion and tasted like warmed up Old El Paso. The Enchiladas that took up an entire styrofoam take out container and were smothered in melted cheese, fresh lettuce, and a wonderful homemade salsa were less than half the size, soggy from swimming in some watery approximation of mole' and filled with unseasoned ground beef. A good thing gone horribly bad. Too bad, it WAS really good.

Not sure if this place serves food, but there's definitely a bar near the lockers and cashiers. Ambiance is loud and fun! I highly recommend this spot if you're into putt putt. The only negative thing I'll mention here is the parking. Since this location is in downtown Omaha, currently, there is construction and street parking. Plan ahead if you plan to come here during a busy weekend!

In comparison, it has all types of turf you will hit from, which I have not seen before. It is also more user friendly--allowing the customer to set up games etc. The Bay Area is big enough, but if you drive very hard you will bounce back a few golf balls onto the restaurant floor! We did this a couple times but it was not a huge issue. The food is decent--Buffalo chicken dip was great. The salad was alright but hardly had any of the mixins with the lettuce. Next time I'll get a different one. Overall this is a good value for the golf membership if you enjoy using a simulator. We haven't had any issues getting in the 2 times we've gone in. There are 3 bays and plenty of restaurant/bar seating as well. Great service!
