I thanked him for his quick response, gave him my contact information, and told him I looked forward to hearing from him on Monday. Well, Monday came and went and I heard nothing from anyone, so I called the number that was listed in his reply and left a voicemail asking for a call back to schedule an estimate or discuss further. It has now been more than a month and I still haven't heard from this company. If they are this bad at communicating from the start, I would not have high hopes for actually working with them. I was disappointed since the Yelp reviews were promising. I'm glad that others have had better experiences with Knoble Engineering and was hoping I would be able to add to their positive reviews, but unfortunately that was not the case. I don't feel it makes sense for me to chase someone that I am trying to give my business to. Luckily, I found another engineer for my project that has been far more responsive.

Furthermore, he dispatched his vendor a second time to our property for measurements and photographs necessary for the report. After the complaint was lodged against his license, Mr. Monteith promised both the report and a full refund; however, we are still awaiting any resolution. Helpful items for them to process request: send them the inspection report with any photos. Repair requests if needed. The lady was able to give me a fairly reasonable estimate by the afternoon. If want the service, you basically provide an e-sig like a DocuSign over email. Apparently they have officers near Charlotte, NC and also Anderson, SC area which would cover the upstate. The lady I spoke with (Courtney) was very friendly and understanding of my situation. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in need of a real structural engineer who will provide a stamped report. TIP: they also do commercial.

On…read moremore than one occasion, I reached out to him for updates/developments and if I got a response, he would provide an excuse like a meeting taking longer than expected, having "projects to get out in the next hour" or the default, "I'll get back to you first thing in the morning" and then I never hear from him the whole next day or until I reach out again. People need to stop taking on more work than they can handle. There's no excuse to keep making commitments with customers, breaking them, and continuing on in silence after you fail to keep your word. Companies like this will slow your project down, but always send your invoice right on time and have the nerve to threaten you with a late fee as well as interest and legal fees if you don't pay them when they want to be paid. Time is money for the customers too, but they have no concession for you when they drop the ball and that's a shame.
