Yes, different gyms offer different amenities, but the CSUN SRC wins just by its class offerings. You may have seen my GX class reviews on the MindBody app, but the fact that you can get unlimited fitness classes with your SRC membership feels unparalleled. I have been able to take so many different unique classes, but I am quite partial to group dance cardio classes. Other class offerings include yoga, Pilates, boxing, cycling, barre, strength conditioning, etc. My biggest regret is not taking advantage of these classes earlier. Aside from exercise classes, you also get a different kind of crowd at a university gym. You see other students here, but also alumni, faculty, and you could bring your friends or family here with a guest pass.

She keeps an eye on all students to be sure their form is correct. She has leaned out my legs, tightened my butt, arms and really strengthen my core, not to mention how Pilates helps with balance because you work both sides of the body. I went in on the 9th of this month to try Pilates for the first time in a very long time. Walked into an empty studio and it was only her and I. I was a bit surprised that there were no other students there and I even told her. So basically it was a one on one session that started at 5:30pm. Alizul was very good at her job for only being there since middle of May. Took her time for me to follow her lead and instructions. The pace level was also great! They offer classes which include the following: Yoga, Pilates, Kyudo, Tai Chi, Laido (sword drawing), for adults, children, teens and seniors. When I walked in, Alizul made me sign a waiver for liability purposes and few other forms. Really enjoyed her class, technique, and style. Lee, who is the owner of this studio, has over 4 decades of experience in marshal arts. I didn't meet her personally, but later she sent me a text message apologizing for one of their instructors by the name of Keri. We were on our way out and Keri had a class coming in. We didn't take any of her time, but she was rude and unprofessional by saying "we have a class right now" I truly think she was having a senior moment or a bad day. They take all method of payments, has a gender neutral restrooms, street and private lot parking space. The class for an hour was $20.00 which was FANTASTIC!! Studio was super clean and fully equipped with all the amenities that you need for your classes. Thank you Lee, Alizul, and North Valley Aikikai. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested of taking any one of their classes. If I lived near by, I would become a regular member.

They have participated in both group basketball training and personal training sessions. I have observed significant improvements in their skills and their self-confidence. They also sell some of their own branded merch at the front desk and other items for sell like waters and energy drinks. I think regarding the gym it's personal preference, because just my personal opinion I feel that the workout machines are just too close together in a small room, I'm not used to that. The machines however are great quality! They have a separate smaller room for cardio machines also. There are lots of outdoor tables and seats which is very nice.

Little did I know, I'd be having twin boys 3 1/2 year later. Thanks to my doctors and Mike helping me modify workouts, I was able to carry my boys until my 37 week elective c-section with no complications. Had a smooth recovery and am now in the best shape of my life. Being a full time working parent of three on-the-go boys is tough, but the workouts here are just what I need to help release the stress of the day and deal with my anxiety and depression.
