Several people don't wear deodorant and you can smell them from 200 feet away. Also, a lot of people are on one machine doing 6 plus sets and texting in between sets (so they are basically using one machine for 15+ minutes). The gym is nice though.

This is probably the best sports complex I have ever been to. This gym has everything that you can imagine of. The student recreation center (SRC) is a tri-level 138,000 Sq ft gym that features the following amenities. First Level -Rock Climbing -Two weight/exercise areas -Group classes -Locker rooms -Towel service -Outdoor Pool Second Level -3 Full court basketball courts -Volleyball courts -Racquetball courts -Spin Class -Boxing class Third Level -Indoor running track -Additional weight/exercise area Membership is included with student's tuition, faculty and staff along with family members can join at a reduced price. I wish that the local 24-Hour fitness and LA fitness gyms were built like this. This is a state of the art sports complex.

Attended a powder puff play football tournament here. Great turf grounds. Small bleachers for spectators, lots of parking but no shaded area. Would recommend bringing pop up tents or umbrellas if you're watching any sports on the turf fields.

As a current student of CSUN I am able to roam the SRC for FREE; that is as long as I am a registered student of the current semester. When you pay tuition you are essentially paying for a gym membership because the gym fee is already included; so with that being said I definitely recommend taking full advantage of the SRC if you are a current student. The SRC is fabulous for many reasons. -Free -New and innovated -Opens early and closes late -Spacious, 3 floors with numerous things to do -Free classes, personal training, and fitness evaluation -Tons of attributes, towels, balls, locks, blow dryers, showers, dryers Price Students: Free Continuing Students: $133 for the semester / = $33 monthly Alumni: $163 for the semester / = $41 monthly Parking The closest parking lot is G6, I think, which is $6 per day. If you refuse to pay $6 and don't have a parking permit you can TRY finding parking on Zelzah which isn't too far of a walk. Overall I think the SRC was an awesome addition to CSUN's campus. However, if I wasn't a student I don't know if I would be paying to use the SRC. Tip They have a childcare center for "qualified professionals." I provided a link for those of you who are interested in this service. http://src.csun.edu/about/PDF/Babysittingservices1.pdf

I love to work out, so when I heard about the free Student Recreation Center at CSUN I was excited to sign up. Once I finished signing up, I made time in my agenda to go to the gym every Mondays and Wednesdays after my classes to go to the gym for about an hour. When entering the SRC, the first thing that captured my eyes was the rock climbing section in the center of the whole center. Since it was extremely hot outside, I was relieved with how cold it was from the air conditioning. There's a lot to explore in this 3-story gym. My first stop was the workout room on the first floor where the majority of work out machines were. It's hard to miss the smell sweat and dirt from the people working out in the machines. It was loud due to the guys, who I notice happen to be from fraternity, socializing instead of using the weights. I worked out for about an hour on a couple of machines that I recognized from other gyms I've been to. Here you'll find all the basic machines that you'd see at 24 Hour Fitness or LA Fitness. My only complaint is that they only have one of most machines. I ended up in line behind 3 other people waiting to use one machine. I made my way to the second floor and I already hear yelling and squeaks. Here you'll find a bunch of guys playing a friendly game of basketball. I like to stay there for a while because I love to watch people play since I don't know how to. It smells worse than the work out room and I can barely hear anything due to the squeaks from the players' shoes. I am surprised by how big the court is being that there is one on campus. I then left to check out the third floor. I got excited because when I got to the third floor because it was quiet and pretty peaceful. I saw a couple of bicycle machines and a track. I plan to go back there soon for a run around the track. The floor was flat and smooth and there's a really awesome view overlooking the fields outside. On all three of the floors there are water fountains and the water is very nice and refreshing. Overall, I was very impressed with the SRC and plan to go as often as I can. The picture I posted was taken at the top of the stairs, overlooking the entrance and rock wall.

We got a 5pm class with Joelena as our instructor! Check-in was very easy with front desk. You get handed a cardboard placard with your name written on it. We got there about 15 minutes early so the previous class right before was still going on! The loud music and the instructor voice was energizing and I felt super excited to try out a class for the first time. You get to choose which machines you would like to use and people beforehand wipe down at the end of class. Seeing the cables and such had me very curious on how it goes! Our instructor went around as class was soon starting to ask our experience on pilates. You have to listen well during her instructions to know how to work the machines but after her quick tutorial we got right into it! I'm thankful for my friends helping me because I was clueless sometimes. PS Make sure you have grippy socks! Super thankful for my friend in having one for me, and I noticed there's many socks and products being sold too in the waiting area. Joelena was overall great and really helped push all of us into doing our best and she comes up to you personally every now and then to correct your form while telling the class too. The workout was crazy and sweaty! I was so sore the next couple of days. Totally worth the money and there is newbie discounts that average classes to $19-21 each. *single bathroom inside *cubbies for shoes *good ventilation *good stereo system *water refill station

I've lost over 80+ pounds while under his regimen and feel more confident with my body than I ever have. I started with the goal of just being able to not constantly be in pain. I didn't want to go down the medical way (no hate on oz) just because I wanted to be able to build up the strength I needed and knowledge to continue outside of his trainings. Not only has this improved my confidence, but it's improved my overall being. I can walk without feeling like passing out, and I can even run now (even though I still don't enjoy it lol). I have more energy now than I had in my twenties, I love being outdoors and I can pick up a box without feeling I need an epsom bath after. His pricing is extremely reasonable for the amount of knowledge and follow ups you get from him. He goes beyond that of any other trainer I've ever experienced. You will NOT regret it.

After having two kids, it had been a long time since I'd consistently worked out, and I was struggling to get back into a routine. I knew I needed something different from the typical gym experience. One thing I really love is that this is not a traditional group workout, which I had tried before and realized just wasn't for me. Yes, you're working out alongside other people, but you have your own station, and the workouts are customized based on where you are physically and your personal goals. I enjoy the workouts, and Trainers Chris and Sam have been amazing. They're experienced, focus on proper form, and push you to challenge yourself in all the right ways -- which is really important to me. I recently hurt my back (not from working out) and had to cancel a couple of sessions. They reached out to check on me and discuss modifying my workouts to help me recover and get back to normal. That level of care and support is something you don't usually find at gyms or workout studios. Most importantly, I genuinely feel like I'm making progress. I'm feeling stronger, more confident, and excited to keep going. Thank you, Rise team!

I downloaded the free one-week pass and, unfortunately, had to leave on a work trip before I could use it. I returned exactly one week later and stopped by, believing I would still be able to use the pass since I had never actually visited an EOS gym before. Instead of working with me or showing any flexibility, the supervisor, Cisco, immediately insisted that I would need to purchase a $40 day pass. When I explained that I had been out of state on business and had never used the guest pass, he claimed the computer showed that I had visited another EOS location. That was impossible, as I was in Mississippi on the date he referenced. What was most disappointing wasn't the pass issue itself--it was the way the situation was handled. There was no attempt to understand the circumstances, verify the information, or find a reasonable solution for a potential new customer. The conversation escalated to the point where Cisco stated that he was "denying me service" rather than trying to resolve what appeared to be a misunderstanding. First impressions matter, and this was a terrible one. A gym that values customer service should be willing to listen, investigate obvious discrepancies, and treat prospective members with respect. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and unwelcome. Needless to say, I won't be paying for a membership here, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

When my membership ended, I decided to try a local gym but quickly realized how much I missed the environment, structure, and support at Ramin's gym. So in June of 2025, I rejoined Exotic Image Fitness, for a year membership and brought my wife along. Within three months, my wife lost 30 pounds and 5 inches off her waist in three months and I gained an additional 10 pounds of muscle and lost 2 inches off my waist. Ramin is not just a trainer, he's a mentor. He educates you on nutrition, training, and overall wellness. He also provides his signature pre-workout drink "Unleashed" which he created and has been proven successful for as long as he has owned the gym (30+ years). You take it before your workout and within minutes you feel focused, energized, and ready to go. Another huge plus is Adriano, Ramin's son, who trains alongside him and provides the same level of support, motivation, and care. Adriano is just as knowledgeable and passionate and they create an environment where you feel encouraged, supported, and pushed to be your best. Ramin also provides protein shakes, checks in daily, and genuinely care about your progress, well-being, and diet. That level of accountability and personal attention is something you won't find anywhere else. As someone who's 30 years old and didn't really enjoy working out before joining Exotic Image Fitness, I can honestly say Ramin and Adriano made me fall in love with going to the gym.
