I've always preferred this YMCA over the locations on South Huntsville and Madison. The downtown Huntsville location is a few minutes away from my house and is small and quiet. They are encouraging and supportive. This is not a gym where you just come in and work out on your own. You work as a group while the coaches keep an eye on your form to make sure you are working out correctly. This is a great community to be a part of. I have only been going to this gym 5 months and I lost about 34 pounds of fat. If you are looking for a gym to join but haven't found the right fit, this is it.

So when I got back home I called up the local OT to check it out. I felt like I got a good run through of how everything is set up to work. I must be insane jumping into a 90 min class. I do like that they can give you options if you need. There are bikes, you can walk instead of running, and you can do variations of the circuit too. I decided to sign up to supplement my barre workouts. They have a couple different heart monitor device options. For June they were doing the first month free. I also like that you can go to other OT gyms no matter where you are. You can do a free class to check it out. What are you waiting for?
