I recently hosted a holiday mixer at the Will Rogers theater tasting room and once again it was a fantastic experience. This was our second event here and I couldn't be more pleased. Katie Johnson our event rep has been amazing every single time. She makes everything run smoothly and helps us shine in front of our board. The food was good. The decorations were beautiful and the service was on point the bar and the bartenders were great as well. It's a fabulous venue that constantly delivers highly recommend for any event. This is an awesome theater to hold an event and they had the OCU Law Innocence Project Wrongful Conviction Day Dinner there where exonerees got to speak about their courageous stories about being wrongfully convicted and how they worked with the Innocence Project to be cleared. Plenty of space for a dinner-like event or show. They also had a silent auction type of event in an internal lobby setup before the main room. Neko sushi is also next door. Recommended! read more

I grew up seeing all ages shows here, and now it's a private event venue. In fact, it was recently the scene for my twenty year high school reunion. It's a perfect place for events such as these - you can get a drink at the bar on your own tab before you head into the fray, whatever that may be. Once you're in the theatre area, there's a nice big bar, an area for the buffet to be set up, a stage, a sound system, and lots of room for tables. The food at our event was outstanding. A carving station, wonderful fruit, veggies, etc. I wasn't surprised, given the fact that the food comes from our friends at Sushi Neko/Lobby Bar, but I think my husband was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. I have no idea what they paid for it, but it was certainly worth whatever I paid for my ticket. I imagine this would be pretty pricey for, say a wedding, but it also seems like the kind of place where they worry about all the details so you don't have to. I'd happily host an event here in the future! read more

My husband and I had our wedding reception here and it was absolutely THE best choice we could have made. Not only was Katie Phelps extremely knowledgeable and helpful, but did everything she could to make sure we and our families were taken care of. Planning a wedding is super stressful but our venue choice with the Will Rogers Theater was one thing we didn't have to worry about. It is an amazing deal that we couldn't find anywhere else in the city and the quality we received was top notch. Our guests were floored by the lighting and the food and kept talking about it for months after the event was over. 100% book this place if you have any event and you will be taken care of the whole way through and even after! Cassie Simon is the events coordinator and she is an absolute breeze to work with! Personally, this was my first time being on the logistics team to plan an event (our event was a fundraising gala) and she made it very easy for us. I was worried because I know an events coordinator can make your event either really easy or really hard. Fortunately, I have nothing but good things to say! Every time I sent an email I usually got a quick response and I love how she would answer my questions in the list format I would send them in. I would plan a personal event here in the near future. read more

I'm at Will Rogers once a month for Junior League, and I've also chaperoned an undergrad sorority date party here. I think this space works a lot better for dance parties and receptions than meetings. For parties, you have an open area in front of the stage that works great as a dance floor. The area is easy to monitor with security, and the bar is centrally located. The food is ok, but it could use an upgrade. They stick with easily prepared frozen apps like corn dogs or pretzels for the most part. For meetings, the sound quality makes large meetings a bit more challenging. It's hard to hear sometimes. Even with its quirks, the parking is plentiful and the staff are always friendly, so I can't complain too much. I'm glad we have Will Rogers as an option for OKC events! read more

This facility is nice, but the manager and servers made our entire event and our guest locally and from out of town extremely uncomfortable to our own disbelief . We. can NEVER get this moment back, and I would personally like to let them know YOU RUINED MY EXPERIENCE WITH YOU ! we were celebrating with our loved ones and this manager stood over each table for over an hour counting plates as if we were stealing plates or something we were highly offended. These people hadn't even properly set the table with glass wear we asked for glasses to drink from after we'd already been seated for over 1 1/2 hours, and still yet she continued to OPENLY COUNT PLATEs BOLDLY in our faces repeatedly counting.. Our food was nasty & COLD child's plates, very very very small portion I'm embarrassed for them , and disgusting.We didn't want a buffet by any means, just an adult sized plates it's like they took 1 plates and split it in half giving everyone 1/2 servings When I tell you POOR SERVICE trust me we couldn't believe it. Our menu included chicken breast that was the cheap frozen Walmart bagged meat cold dry and tough, then a teaspoon of mashed potatoes on each plate... EVERY PLATE it was highly offensive but almost comical. Our family member asked for plasticware, and they asked her for what, what did she need a plastic for for"? Rolls were colds green beans were cold . To be handled in such a way that after we have paid all this money and choose you out of all the places here in this city, you handled us poorly the servers were frowning up looking mean, and in me personally dealing with the manger myself and begging for a glass for water , 3 separate times, she kept walking off then coming back over by my table literally COUNTING PLATES how disputing of an expensive. The occasion was GRAND AND BEAUTIFUL I will be making a google review and anywheres else I can to make people aware of what we experienced. sure that if they handled us this way, this is common practice . Have an event here minus the catering because you will more than likely regret it. read more

WOW, this is a fabulous venue! The staff are outstanding, friendly and very helpful. Lauren, Cassie and Katie are Rock Stars! If we needed anything they were right there to take care of it from the very beginning of booking to the end of our event. We had breakfast and lunch and they both were delicious. The chef went out of his way to make sure that our staff that had special needs on food were taken care of. Look forward in working with this amazing group again in the future. read more

The Will Rogers theatre is a great venue to host an event. It's space is large, it's in the heart of Western Avenue, and it's connected to Lobby Bar and Sushi Neko! However, I will say that with a great venue comes a high cost - so definitely be prepared for that when planning an event here. Although, the staff is great to work with, and the venue holds very large groups! read more

Will Rogers Theater Event Center was an incredibly friendly host for our 55th Bishop McGuinness Class Reunion. They were led by their Event Coordinator Cassie who was a star! We used this venue for a Winter Holiday party for Dell Medium business. The venue and the staff were incredible!!! The entire process was incredibly easy, the event coordinators handled everything and were even patient when we had several last minute changes to what we were needing. The venue was decorated beautifully and the food was great! There was a great set up for audio and video for presentations and music and it was a wonderful place to hold a business event!!!! read more

This place was AMAZING! My son had his wedding & reception here on November 9th. The staff was VERY accommodating and on top of everything. I was told multiple times by many quests how wonderful the food was. I was so busy, I barely ate anything, but saw how amazing the entire set up of the food was done (very professional and beautiful). Many, many people told us how good it was. The staff helped in every way possible and even helped set up some of the extras that we brought in to finish at the last min. Ben Miller, our coordinator was astounding! He was on top of everything asked and/or needed. The staff at this venue was just absolutely hard working, polite, helpful accommodating, adapting and just positively WOUNDERFUL!
