I had such bad pain that I didn't think PT would help but to my surprise it did help to the point I'm fully recovered now. It was easy to book an initial appointment, they are popular so can be difficult to find the perfect time unless you are willing to wait. I had a primary PT that I saw most of the time but also saw some others. It started out very easy and simple with stretches and other things and gradually had most of the type of exercises I do. They asked about what/if any strength training I do and they were able to incorporate most of the type of exercises that I do that could have lead to my initial problem. I was very happy with how much progress I made while I was going here and if I have some other physical problem where PT might help, I will come back here again.

Joints in Motion is, far and away, the best physical therapy provider that I have ever used. I have been working with Eric at Joints in Motion for the last 3 months as I recover from rotator cuff surgery and cannot say enough positive about the experience. Rotator cuff surgery recovery is not fun, but Joints in Motion has made things immeasurably better. There are several things that set Joints in Motion apart from other therapy places where I have gone. First, it is clear during each of my sessions that there is a plan in place for my therapy. Unlike other places I have gone, I have never found myself standing around waiting for a therapist to figure out what I should be doing or waiting between exercises because a therapist is tending to another patient. It is clear that they respect my time and prioritize maximizing my progress without unnecessarily wasting my time. Second, Eric is great about explaining what I'm doing, how it helps, what my progress looks like, and giving advice on things that I can do at home. I have a bad tendency to be a control freak which invariably causes me to ask lots of questions. Eric has always patiently answered them fully in a way that is understandable to a layperson. Third, the facility itself is well-equipped and a really good size. I did not appreciate how important that space issue was until I went to Joints in Motion. At other therapy places where I have been, it was often hard to work around other patients who were operating close by. At Joints in Motion, there is plenty of space to spread out so that patients don't impede one another during a therapy session. I live less than 5 minutes from another physical therapy provider, but it is a no-brainer that, despite it being a 25-minute drive from my house to Joints in Motion, that the extra drive well be well-worth it the next time I manage to injure myself.

I have been going to Dr. Foster since experiencing a 60% compression fracture at T-12 (approximate…read moremid spine) some 18 years ago. I suffered the injury while moving my then girlfriend, and I was in agony. I have had some thirty major fractures in my life, and this was as painful as any of the others. Before I could get in to see an orthopedic surgeon to do the balloon kyphoplasty necessary to repair the fracture, I needed relief....badly. Simply standing, or walking, or sitting in a chair, or lying down in bed, was laborious, and excruciating. My parents took me in to see Dr. Foster for the first time, and I could barely get up on his exam table. But he was patient, he listened, and he gave me some immediate help, and showed great care while doing so. I told him I was born with a congenital bone disease called osteogenesis imperfecta which stems from a collagen issue, weakening my bone matrix. It makes me susceptible to fracture. He knew how to help ameliorate the tightness that had developed around the break while exercising the restraint required because of my bones. I also suffer from osteoporosis, degenerative disc disease, and spinal stenosis. It goes without saying that I am a bit of a "special case" medically-my back is one giant game of "whack-a-mole"-yet I trust both Dr. Karl and his son, Dr. Mason-who has also treated me multiple times-unequivocally. It takes a special doctor to build up that trust. They take all the time that is needed for me to describe what is hurting, where I am having tightness, pain or spasms, and tailor the treatment to match my needs, and my body. I have never felt rushed. I have never felt unease that they might hurt me while making adjustments. They have several tools at their disposal, and hit the bullseye every time. Just two days ago, I was having a hard time getting out of bed. I was having this constant, pulsing bone pain at a few joints. I came in to see Dr. Karl, he worked on me, and by the next morning, I was all the way back to my baseline. And contrary to the other review here from a few years ago, the only motivation I have ever sensed when visiting Foster Chiropractic is a profound desire to help patients feel better. They have never ordered an x-Ray that wasn't warranted. The few times we have done one, Dr. Foster explained to me what he was concerned about, and I completely agreed with his assessment. I know my body, and any atypical pain is a cause for concern. And Dr. Foster rightly wanted to see if there was any evidence of a fracture before manipulating my back. He is very conservative in his treatment of me. My body is a bit of a minefield. One minute. everything can be fine, the next, the pain can be substantial. He has always gotten me in at a moment's notice, regardless of whether I had an appointment or not. He has gotten me in first thing at open, or right when they would be closing for the day. The patient is always first, and that's how it should be. Foster Chiropractic has given me the very best care I could hope for, time and time again.

I just wrapped up going to Greater Therapy Centers in Lewisville for some odd back pain I had been…read morehaving. If you don't want to read all of this review (since it might end up a bit long), the TLDR version is that they did a fantastic job of fixing my issue and they did so with minimal info. All of the staff also were very nice throughout. When my doctor initially recommended physical therapy, I was a little pessimistic on its chances of fixing the issue. That was in large part because describing the issue wasn't the easiest thing in the world. My back felt fine 90% of the time, but stand up for longer than 10-20 minutes and all of a sudden I was hunched over in pain. There was no clear cause of it either. Basically, I knew I wasn't going to be able to give a therapist a lot of info to go off of and I knew that could mean they wouldn't be able to hone in on the issue. However, I'm happy to say that Brandon and Howard managed to take the gibberish description I gave them and devise a treatment plan that actually fixed the issue entirely. For reference, this was a back problem I had been experiencing since early March. (2-3 months.) No amount of muscle relaxers, anti inflammatory meds, heat pad sessions, or stretching seemed to do anything for it either. PT did the trick though. It is great to be past it finally, especially since surgery was in the conversation. For anyone trying to decide on a place to go, I definitely recommend this place. The staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and care about getting your issue fixed. I've been in places after surgery where you felt like the therapist was doing his/her best to get you out the door. GTC was essentially the opposite of that for me. Their focus was on getting me back to normal, not on who their next patient would be.

Dr. Jon is gone and Dr. Ivy is on leave, Dr. Chandler is the other chiropractor and I hear wonderful things about him (but Dr. Chris Bailey is my man). The staff being wonderful, the available machines and therapies, Heather being a super hero, Christina managing impossible feats other massage therapists fear- all still true!! The fact that they will work with your schedules, emergencies and payment plans- also still true! But this review isn't about giving you all the details to make a decision on a great place to get physical therapy or a recommended chiropractor. This review is to straight up give props to the person who helps me get through the day when my migraines are blurring my vision, when my chronic pain isn't letting me straighten up and when a rib under my shoulder blade popped out, kinking my neck which twisted my jaw that led to my ear canal closing so I couldn't keep my damn balance when walking. I mean, come on! Am I maybe a little sentimental because we tend to reflect on the good things in our lives on our birthdays? Well, yeah, that's true, but that doesn't make this review false or undeserved. I woke up thinking it's a miracle I made it to this birthday considering how hard this last year has been on my body and then I realized it's because I'm so lucky that Dr. Bailey started working on me just as things were getting worse again. This man has over 20 years experience and I could see it on the very first adjustment he did on my neck. He can see problems with me before I've complained and before he's touched me. I am blessed to have someone so experienced and intuitive helping me and frankly you're lucky if he trained your chiropractor. He's so dedicated that even when he takes "a vacation" he only takes a couple days in a week because he knows he has patients who couldn't survive an entire week without him. He doesn't leave the room for the next patient after 3 adjustments or if something isn't cooperating, sometimes he'll need to do 15 adjustments to get the job done, and he does. This man runs his own business, trains new chiropractors and sees 100 patients a day- give this man a medal, make him president, build a damn monument! I wasn't going to write a review, but after seeing another doctor today who explained in detail why…read moreI was having so much pain in my foot, I was so disgusted that I had to get this off my chest. I went to see Dr. Suh last July because of his fabulous reviews. I went because of a bump, maybe a cyst, on the top of my foot above my big toe that was painful when my shoe rubbed against it. He told me he would remove it, and that the X-Rays showed that I had bone on bone in my big toe, and that he could put a pin in it to fix it. At that time, I had no pain in my big toe, even though my records say that I did. I agreed to the surgery. Today, after seeing the X-rays, I saw that I have a plate at the joint, not a pin, but several screws. I never knew that because I had never seen the X-ray taken after surgery. Communication was severely lacking. My new doctor explained what had happened to my foot and how the second toe is paying a part in all this because of the toe surgery, and why I am in pain and why it is getting worse. During my time with Dr. Suh, I bought several pairs of shoes that were recommended, and I spent $500 on custom orthotics that I can't wear. When I purchased them, I was told they could be adjusted if they didn't work, but when I went back to Dr. Suh he told me they couldn't be adjusted and I would need to buy a bigger shoe. I now have pain in my foot that I didn't have before I saw Dr. Suh. I wish I had known last July what I know now. I would have steered clear of him.
