Absolutely unacceptable. We have been waiting for over three hours in the emergency department while my daughter is in significant pain, and no one can even tell us how much longer the wait will be. We understand that emergency rooms must prioritize the sickest patients, but patients and their families deserve communication, compassion, and updates. Being left to sit for hours with a loved one in pain, without any clear information or timeline, is frustrating and exhausting. A simple update or explanation would go a long way. Instead, we feel forgotten. No family should have to watch their child suffer while wondering if anyone is aware of how much pain they're in. I hope this hospital takes a serious look at its emergency department's communication and patient care because this experience has been deeply disappointing. read more

Went to support. I was shocked at the cleanliness and condition of the equipment here. The emergency room is an absolute disaster. When they were doing her blood pressure the machine didn't work so instead of finding one that did work, they just decided not to take it. Like it was a hassle. When she was taken to the back the room was filthy. The floors had dirt and crap on them that had built up over time. The mattresses on the bed was so broken down her rear fell asleep. Room was super cold and no blanket. Asked for one and they gave a thicker sheet. Trash cans were overflowing. Bathroom had dirty pee collection hats stacked up that needed to be cleaned. Gross and unsanitary. When she push the button for help, it took them forever to show up. Thank goodness it wasn't an emergency. This place needs to get it together. I cannot believe what has happened to this place that used to be beautiful. read more

Slow. Rude. Lazy. Don't recommend. Came in because i passed out due to being out in the heat. Whilst also having a sore throat and that then made it hard for me to swallow and breathe. Waited about an hour and my throat was hurting because my ibuprofen wore off, talked to a nurse about getting some medicine which then lead a triage nurse to check me out. Said triage nurse looked at my throat said i was "fine" and i wouldn't need any medicine. I couldn't breathe, talk or swallow, which then lead me to choke on my saliva a couple times, had to release myself to go home whilst barely being able to breathe because my pain and struggle were neglected and ignored by said triage nurse read more

when my grandma died on September 27,2006 we were given her valuables and possessions that she was admitted into the hospital with including her ring that was white gold diamond encrusted ring that today would be worth over 20,000 dollars given to her by her aunt and that she couldn't even get off her finger untlil she passed but when receivEd her items no ring was in her valuables we were told to check lost and found? And that they had no cameras at the time ( which I do not believe even in 2006 there were no cameras) and search lost and found?! So my grandma who passed away lost her ring herself after she died and maybe someone turned it into the lost and found?! Willamette Falls hospital is a great place for care. I was in the hospital for four days in early April and I could not have asked for more kindness, caring and complete care. Broke my wrist on 12/23. Wait time was long and there's really nothing to keep you entertained other than the homeless people who makes a scene. Got into a car accident and had no way home, asked the doctor if there's a way home and he said- resources are expensive and to call friends or family. Assuming that I had someone to call. The intake was rude and had an attitude when I didn't answer his question correctly. Yes, health care personal is spread thin, but friendliness goes a long away. People have stories- be nice. If it's icy- don't bother going to this hospital you will be stuck. Bring your chargers and reading material Also, people assume that I slipped and fell on the ice. Instead of assuming you can look at your report and try to connect with me. The guy who put my splint on was nice and very attentive. read more

My son had a horrific headache and stomach pain. He went to ER and they made him sit there for 4 hours. He was in terrible pain. They finally called his name and he got horrible treatment. Came home with nothing no Xray or any imaging to see what what truly going on. For all they knew he could have been having a stroke. They need a reality check and get sued. Maybe they will take their job more seriously. I say this because I've been there a few times and other family members have, as well. Poor treatment. I took him to Meridian Park hospital and they got him in quickly, less than 30 mins. He had an infection that was very severe and treated him well. He was given a prescription and something for the pain and nausea. He was feeling a lot better within a few days. I used to love Willamette Falls but since Providence took over it's like a 3rd world hospital. read more

This is an excellent hospital. My wife and I so prefer this hospital. The nurses are superb, the doctors seem to really care, and are very good at what they do. Unfortunately, we have had to spend quite a bit of time in different hospitals of late. This is the closest emergency room to us, and it is by far our favorite (as unpleasant as the need to go may be). For one thing, the fact that Catholic hospitals do not murder babies is super awesome all by itself. But beyond that you can very much tell that the nurses all care and that they are dedicated to quality care. They care about the patients that are unborn and the patients who are born. They even care deeply for the elderly, who I feel are neglected altogether too often, for which there is frankly, no excuse. Elderly people should be cared for, and I'm grateful to this hospital. Not sure why they have such a low rating of yet, maybe some changes have been made, because they are definitely doing good these days. read more

The ER is completely maddening, try anything else before sending yourself or a loved one here. The triage nurses are kind enough and they got us a much needed x-ray. We sat in the waiting room for several hours, which worsened my wife's pain and on the verge of tears, she really needed to lay down. Once you get assigned a bed you will realize you actually just landed in hell. My wife's nurse was attentive and nice, but completely ineffective. They constantly gaslight you about when a doctor will be available, which is never, because they only have 1 on staff at any given time, and the on-call never showed when needed. Even on a slow night expect to wait at least 6 hours before being seen by anyone who can actually help you. On top of that, good luck even getting a tablet of ibuprofen, because only a doctor can give you anything, so the nurse is pointless in that regard. They do not care about your time, you are a paycheck to them. If you watch the staff, you may notice there are so many nurses in the station, and they are all doing one of 2 things. Sitting at the computer or jabbering with their friends, maybe if they had one doctor to replace a nurse or two it might run efficiently. I understand they have a lot of responsibilities, but why does the nurse in-charge look like they work the least? She had all the power to help us, but only gave patronizing remarks like "at least you are alive and breathing," while my wife is writhing in agony. In the end a physician finally entered our room, after we pleaded and begged, my wife couldn't handle the pain any longer, and I could tell the physician really felt bad for us as she overheard us with the nurse in-charge. It's so dissapointing, because after they finally looked at the x-ray, it ended up only being a pulled muscle. All my wife needed was for the doctor to do a 15 minute range of motion test to diagnose. Something so simple, a nurse could perform and get us discharged within the hour, if they weren't heartless. Maybe if they had a real diagnostician on staff they could accurately evaluate the level of need for each patient, and not take up a bed unnecessarily. If a doctor had evaluated my wife before assigning her a bed, we could have got the same medications at the pharmacy for a fraction of what they are charging. Instead they held us like hostages until every pharmacy in the city closed for the night. read more

This was by far the worst hospital I've ever been to. The inside was filthy in each room we stepped in. The receptionist was extremely rude. I brought my child in because her therapist said she was having a mental health crisis and she had heard they had a really good IOP program. Well the social worker we first spoke with agreed my child would benefit from the IOP program and added that to the discharge agreement. They told me she had to stay the night there. So she did, next morning I got a call from the new social worker Meranda I think, and she was asking when I was picking up my child she is being discharged? I said I'll come now is she able to get into the program? She said no she's fine she can just go home. I said that is not was the last social worker said and not what her therapist thinks. She literally said well then where do you want a referral to be sent to and I'll let the dr know. When I went to pick up my daughter she informed me that the social worker had told her I wasn't going to pick her up that she had told me she was being discharged and I wasn't going to come. Who tf tells a kid that. My daughter had the discharge papers in her room and I let the staff know we were leaving. No one said anything so we just left. Seriously this place was a joke and for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis don't waste your time here. read more

What has happened to our local hospital? I am in complete shock. The facility was unclean- by hospital standards, for sure. The wait for me was over 7 hours and I was in some pretty incredible pain. My son finally said something about how uncomfortable I was and they moved me to a hallway bed. How did it take this long for a physician to view my ex-ray? Which ultimately showed nothing. I begged for something for pain and finally got an injection. STILL no answers but relying on some common sense and help from my PCP from here on out. I am not sure if a person were in a life or death situation- I would choose to go here? Lots of nursing station activity and laughing. Very few seen attending to their patients. I have had several surgeries here and going to strike them from my list from here on out. What a mind blower this experience was. read more

We had the WORST experience going there, and we will NEVER return. When we got to the emergency to be seen for a massive pain in my husbands back he had tried to deal with for 5 days ,icing and heating, with no change,ER WAS OUR ONLY other option. , we had 4 people before us . We realized it could be somewhat of a wait. While sitting in Waiting room, 4 other people came, and everyone else was called in but us. SO..HE went out to ask what the Hells going on and was he going to be seen, for a nurse to tell him if he stop using profanity or they would have Security come in with him. From the time I was greeted at reception by Madonna, prepared for surgery by nurse Jackie and cared for by nurse Donna it was a first-rate experience. They were highly professional, personable and competent. My anesthesiologist, Steven Croy, M.D. was just great as was my orthopedic surgeon Brad Black, M.D. Superior quality care throughout. If I could leave no stars I would. I visited this ER 3 times because the 3rd time other ERs weren't accepting at that moment. I didn't want to go back because of how incredibly inconsiderate the staff was, letting their personal beliefs interfere with my health. The first visit was 2/17 and the doctor told me that I was dehydrated because I was pregnant. No shit, I've been puking 20-30 times a day unable to keep water and anything else down. It was painful and the moment I said that I couldn't continue a pregnancy with this amount of pain the sent me home without making sure I was hydrated enough. On 2/18 I had to go back because the vomiting got even worse. The second doctor did the exact same thing. I'm not a very big person, 5'6" 130lbs give or take. Vomiting that much was having a severe impact on my sleep, mental, and physical health. I was too weak to walk, couldn't sit up, etc. Now the NURSE on this visit was absolutely condescending and so rude to myself and my boyfriend who was trying to be by advocate. We had the first nurse tell us that she wanted to confirm with the doctor that I still needed a blood test since I had just been there not ever 12 hours later. When my boyfriend mentioned this to this new day nurse (she mentioned she was a travel nurse from texas) she went off talking to us in a condescending tone that made me extremely upset. She acted like we were assholes when it was a simple question. Sorry if our questions bothered you but bless your heart I thought you were hired for that? My last visit, 2/21, was the only decent experience I had because I had a female doctor and she let me sleep and catch up on fluids for the most part. Still no diagnosis other than, you guessed it, dehydration. Today i went to a clinic where they informed me that I had hypermesis gravidarum, an actual condition that can be fatal if not treated. So thanks a lot Providence. You literally almost let me die because I didn't want to continue a pregnancy with a disease you never even mentioned or tested for. DO NOT GO HERE. Once again I am so happy to say I had amazing care at Providence hospital in Oregon City aka Willamette Falls Hospital. Francy, Julie, Mayoung and everyone really I should have kept a log of names to single everyone of the staff out. I had my left knee replaced in August of 2018 and the right one done October 9, 2019. I got to see some of the wonderful staff that were there for my first one. The care you receive is REALLY amazing and there isn't enough space to praise all they do and how caring they are. My doctor Dr Sedgewick and PA David Emch are super hero's and I am very lucky to have picked them to take good care of me. They must be good because everyone around me is amazed at how well I can do after surgery. In one day and out the next due to those wonderful people. read more

Another part of the broken Providence Health system that Sister Gamelin would be completely ashamed of. While constantly emphasizing their values of compassionate care and service they are a very "for profit" non for profit that values money well ahead of people, yes some of the staff are genuinely very caring but increasingly they are all cogs in the massively faltering, corrupt medical industrial complex under evermore stress and pressure to perform faster and with less resources and less exposure. Providence has lost its way completely and treated me like a number and not a human being in need of care. I believe a vet would care given me better care than many of those encountered during this uneccessarily horrific experience. Disappointing is not the word for my brief stay at Willametre Falls. This review is strictly for the birth center and also for the lactation consultants...not for the hospital itself or the emergency room. Just an FYI. I am so happy with our experience at the birth center at Willamette Falls Hospital. My birth experience was great because of all the care and concern of the nurses and of course, my amazing doctor from Women's Healthcare Associates across the parking lot. From the moment we checked in to the moment we walked our sweet baby girl to the car we were well taken care of... Every nurse we had was amazing and took great care of us. I was induced, so we spent 3 full days at the birth center, each day we had a different nurse but their shifts are 12 hours so you were able to get used to them and get to know them a little. They had boards on the wall that kept everything up to date and everyone seemed knowledgable and capable in their jobs. Which was wonderful because this was my first baby and I didn't know what to expect. The doctor on call would check in on us every day as well as the head nurse. Oh, and p.s. The ice machine is ahhhhmazing. That might sound weird but trust me, ice will be your diet for a while and the ice here is perfect. I wanted to steal the ice machine and take it home! read more

I went to the psychiatrist unit for adolescents this past summer of 2021 for severe depression and other stuff. I was terrified to go because I had heard that psych wards were where people were tortured and everyone was "crazy". This was not the case. Well first off no one is crazy we just all have our own issues. BUT on another note the staff and clients were so sweet the entire stay. The nurses and staff went out of there way to dance with me, play cards, and eat with me. I never felt alone there. Although there were some traumatic moments, it was mostly my own doings. Over the course of many years living in the area I have gone to Willamette Falls at handful of times. Each time I have received at best sub par care. The staff don't listen or even pretend to care about your issue. In addition the doctors are rude, judgmental and dismissive. I once took a friend in with severe flu like symptoms. She was so sick that she was lying on the floor in the middle of the waiting room puking into a bag. A bag I had to go ask for. Not one of the staff came to check on her, offer her a blanket or reassure her that they'd be able to help her soon. No, they just left her there for HOURS! While they and everyone in the waiting room watched her suffer. Now I go to Meridian Park in Tualatin for my health care needs (They are awesome!), though I live in Oregon City. However, recently I broke my toe. I figured what the hell, it's a toe right? Not serious at all, so off I went Willamette Falls. Big mistake. Once again they proved themselves totally inept. I have an allergy to acetaminophen (Tylenol). Which I told them. Whether or not you have any allergies to medication is a question they are required to ask upon admittance. So what do they do? They gave me pain medication with acetaminophen in it! The incompetence is not only appalling it is incredibly dangerous, and quite literally life threatening. Do not go there! Don't let your loved ones go there! If you are in need of a hospital, insist on being taken to Meridian Park in Tualain. It may take a few extra minutes but it could very well save your life. read more

Willamette falls is one of the worst emergency rooms I've visited. As for emergency, they couldn't give a rats ass. You just sit and wait and wait and wait FOREVER! update: I waited until my doctors appointment on April 3rd and today I got the test results back from my blood test. They said I have Sinus Bradycardia, which means that I have a slower than normal heart rate, it can be cause by many things. I had an EKG done at the ER when I went in, the tech said it looked fine but he would show it to my doctor. Funny, after leaving because that place is so incredibly slow, I found out two weeks later that that the EKG from the ER would have shown what was wrong. Don't you think if someone walked out of your ER because your service was so slow, you would contact them if you actually found something wrong? read more

Incompetent staff let my husband leave without a follow up appointment and under the influence of so much dialysis that he was nodded out until the following day. He came in reporting blood in his urine, which resulted in a diagnosis of kidney stones. They said the stones were so late that he couldn't hope to pass them on their own, medical treatment would be required. However, when I got home from work I called the hospital, and they were able to explain that he would need to call tomorrow and make an appointment. Of the procedure is required, and he will be in agonizing pain until he gets the thing put, why should I have to wait until the following day to set this appt? I'm giving one star because there is no option for no stars. I came in because I was told I needed emergency care by the urgent care I was seen at. I have a high fever and stiff painfully neck so my dr thought I might have meningitis. According to what I know of this illness it could cause death in as little as 24 hours. And here I sit 2 hours later it's freezing cold and no one cares that the seats are not fit for sick people that just want to lay down. This hospital sucks. Checked us in and we got a room right away. We were told our nurse was Bruce and he would be right in. Two and a half hours later a doctor comes in to see how we are doing. I told her we haven't seen anyone since we checked in. Explained what symptoms there were high blood pressure, cold hand feet, changing colors. Just really slow. It ended up being dehydration and we got an IV of fluids. 4 hours and 15 minutes spent there. While waiting we could see staff gathering in the nurses station talking about the weekend and school. Some were even getting agitated and snapping at each other. read more

Oh boy where to start? Keep in mind that this was the back up to our back up plan. (Planned to deliver at Providence Portland but they were full as well as our back up St. Vincent) Let's start with when we initially got there for the birth of my daughter (6/2/2016) and the midwife Katie who was terrible. (Who's shift started 6/1/2016 at 7pm and ended 6/2/2016 at 7am) When we first met her the first thing she said was "I'm very tired and chatted but my name is Katie I'm the midwife on duty tonight" (we arrived at about 1am) she was VERY uninformative about anything we asked or that she was telling us. I get it night shift isn't the greatest (I have my own business and it only runs at night) but come on this is A. Someone's life you're dealing with, B. It's a life changing event have some respect and don't make it sound like all you care about is taking your naps by saying something along the lines of "the more little calls I get the less sleep I get and I'm not the nicest when I'm tired" I'm sorry but why would you even say that to someone especially in a so called professional atmosphere. Katie was also horrible with her time management. She would say 10 minutes and before we knew it it was an hour and 10 minutes with no updates no nothing. It was our first birthing experience of course we are going to have lots of questions and listen to what someone who is a "professional" has to say and when something was said we expect it to happen especially when all she would have to do is let us know a realistic time not a quick time cause that's what people want to hear or let us know it's taking longer than expected opposed to leaving us waiting. Luckily tho Regis was on duty for the day shift (7am to 7pm 6/2/2016) and was AMAZING and delivered our baby girl at 1:57pm! The nurses we had were great and very helpful and I can not thank them enough. I thought once we had the great experience since Regis took over until we left (about 4pm 6/3/2016) but I get a phone call as soon as I get home that they forgot to have us fill out paperwork for the birth certificate to have my name on it as well. How does something like that happen when the initial packet was filled out correctly?! Another error we encountered is that my girlfriend spells her name (even on her medical records from providence) is spelt Cheyanne not Cheyenne but on our bracelets that match our daughters they misspelled Cheyannes name which made us question what else the could have messed up with the correct spelling right in front of them. And one last thing if just one person is seen sitting looking at Pinterest at work computer that guest can see it gives the impression that all of the nurses do it and that's why it takes 7+ minutes to get to our room when we page for help. read more
