Unisource was the facility where Dr. G did my surgery and it was great. Dr. Guettler was such an amazing Orthopedic Surgeon. He walked me through the process and was very good with explaining what I needed and what to expect with my recovery. He also was great when it came to my post care follow up. He made sure I was 100% before sending me back to work. I'm so glad I decided to go to the Michigan Orthopedic Surgeons Group and Dr. Guettler! If you're dealing with a sports medicine injury you Definitely should consider going to Michigan Orthopedic Surgeons Group and Dr. Guettler!!

Not a good experience here. One therapy session had my 5 month old son in tears. After our current…read morephysical therapist left, we were assigned another one. I notified the front desk that since I would not be present at his appointment that I'd like to speak to the new physical therapist to get to know her and ask how the session went. I never received a phone call. After speaking to the therapist, my response was "Well, we don't give out patient information." I reminded her that I'm the patient's parent and he's 5 months old. Speaking to the office manager led to me being told that we missed three appointments (we missed two) and that we would no longer be able to come back. Not happy.

Recovery took 6-8 weeks as expected but has been pain free since. During his recovery, I started experiencing hip pain. I learned is had a deteriorated SI (sacroiliac) joint. I treated it with steroid injections every 90 days for a year and a half which helped but never quite got me out of pain. We went back to Dr. Khalil and he was able to schedule me for a bilateral SI fusion where they bolt the two joint together from each side to avoid the unnecessary movement in the joint. Although fairly noninvasive, I was back to work in two weeks and now my pain is also 100% gone!!! Dr. Khalil is literally the best surgeon!!! We were both scared making surgery decisions and our only regret now is that we didn't do it sooner. His PA's are also amazing and helped with all our questions and help explain things in normal terms. If you are in pain, we would highly recommend him or at least consider him for a second opinion. He is not one to rush you into surgery which is hard to find these days but definitely the surgeon you want when the time comes!

They did absolutely nothing. I would post a picture but it's far too graphic. I would rate them a ZERO if I could. During the appointment a second person came in and looked at his finger and told him maybe he'll be one of those people where the finger will grow back. Really? Then I guess we wouldn't need incompetent surgeons like those who my Grandson was referred to by the hospital.

Then I ended up in the hospital with severe pancreatitis right before my consult with him. When I went to cancel he so kindly offered to take out my gallbladder and also was the only one in my 3 years of searching for answers to diagnose my "hernia" pain as a large endometrioma. That alone was worth seeing him for! He did a fantastic job on my surgery, took the time to speak to me and my husband prior and answer questions. His office staff have been genuine, kind and helpful. I'm so thankful to him for helping me.

I had a very unpleasant experience with Dr Janczyk during my first encounter with him as a patient…read more I am a doctor myself butI went to him for hernia consultation. He had poor bedside manners. He belittled other doctors and he undermined my genuine concern. I asked him if he would be doing my surgery in entirety by himself or if there are residents/trainees involved since I do not wish the residents or fellows to do any surgery on me. I understand teaching hospital and I understand training but in this particular surgery I did not wish trainees to work on me. I am scared of robots and it's personal. He could have said sorry my trainees depend on me to teach them and all patients of mine have trainees experience. I would have said thank you but no thanks and left. But instead he started using cutting remarks and mocking my intelligence as well as my concern. He said " residents come and go. It's not that I would leave to have tea with one of your colleagues while residents are doing surgery ". All I wanted was him to tell me if it was possible to not have any trainee at the console of da Vinci robot during the length of the surgery because I as a patient am not comfortable otherwise. Was I asking for too much? And he could have said no and we would have parted ways and I would look for another surgeon. But he had to be sarcastic and demeaning.
