The money that was allotted to my child through her trust fund is being withheld unless I first spend my own money and then request reimbursement. This was never explained to me in court or in any conversation leading up to this point. In fact, I was told from the beginning that I could request funds for my child's health, wellness, and education at any time. That statement turned out to be false. Every time I have requested money for my child's needs, I have been denied. I even went to court, swore under oath that the money would be used properly, and was told by Judge York that the funds would be released fully to me. Yet on September 16, 2025, I received a notice that only $370 would be provided for my child's uniforms--despite the fact that I spent well over that amount and provided receipts to prove it. This reimbursement-only process is unethical and was never disclosed to me in advance. I should not have to front my own money just to access funds that belong to my child. I am the sole provider, and the court was made aware of that fact. The trust money was supposed to support my child's health, wellness, and education, but instead, it has been turned into a game that causes stress, delays, and denial of rightful access. I believe this treatment is discriminatory and rooted in bias. From the beginning, I was made to feel untrustworthy and was told I could not be given the money directly. This process has been handled with lies, inconsideration, and malpractice. I will be reporting this firm, Judge York, and all parties involved every chance I get. I am also prepared to pursue further legal action, because what is happening here is not only malpractice but also a direct denial of funds that were specifically allotted for my child. Please beware: if you are considering Green & Phillips, know that they do not fight for their clients, they do not follow through on their promises, and they will leave you worse off than when you started.

If you fear your own attorney you aren't going to have faith in your case being successful. I learned a great deal and a huge lesson about how these processes actually work. I will say that his partner Mr Lyons himself did make me feel a bit more at ease and him praying with me before my in office deposition took away a small bit of my anxiety.
