My child comes home clean, and can write and identity many words at 3 1/2 years. The food is freshly made, and a lot of it is locally sourced. They also make their baby food on site. The owner and her employees work very hard. The web cams are a nice feature, and the turnover is very small to none. Parents use teachers to babysit on the weekends. And, just like SLU, Rockhurst had the opportunity years ago to take part in the flight from the inner city and build a sprawling campus out in the burbs. Rockhurst, like SLU, did not give up on the city it was part of. You're going to find at Rockhurst a Jesuit education, which apart from a distinguishing element of service, focuses on building a whole person. We take philosophy and theology courses as part of the core not because we are trying to indoctrinate someone in religion, but to point out that life is more than marketing or biology. Rockhurst is the second-smallest Jesuit school in the country and certainly one of the more affordable. One of the drawbacks we have is that we do not have a good study-abroad program, but I came in as a junior transfer so I had already had that benefit at another school. I'm deeply grateful for my time spent at the Rock.

There are many ways to get involved and an increasingly accepting environment for marginalized groups. Additionally, you do not have to be a Catholic to come here and there are a lot of individuals who are not. I would highly recommend attending this college and have had an amazing experience here!

Can I give a zero? After an abnormal screening breast ultrasound, I immediately called KU for a…read morediagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. I wanted to go 'the best in town'. I gave them the name of the facility that did the original ultrasound as requested. The soonest they could get me in was 3.5 weeks later. They like to see you 7-10 days after so I was very anxious to get it checked out. After waiting 3.5 weeks, I get checked in and wait 30 minutes and get all the way back to get undressed and was told they could not do the scans bc they didn't have all of my years of mammograms from diagnostic imaging. They literally turned me away. They have to do these scans anyway but refused until they got my history which was a ball drop on their part. The human thing to do would have been to scan me and then wait for the images they didn't request. Now I have to wait until they get my prior images and call me to reschedule. Unbelievable. Completely unacceptable.
