I can't count all the problems I've encountered at this "school". Just know…read more.. 1. They bill you completely wrong. I've had them ding my account incorrectly in large amounts twice. This last one was when I pulled my son out of the school. 2. The staff tries but falls short. I've had several situations my son never should have been in if someone were actually watching the children. 3. It's not really a school. Just daycare where they occasionally go over letters and numbers.

We thought it almost "too good to be true" and lined up a tour. Our observations during that tour have not changed after having our boys (ages 5 and 2) in their care for the past three months. We're still impressed with the "bang for the buck" and are pleased with the care our boys are receiving. The building is nothing fancy; however, it has everything that's needed. With an observant eye, it's easy to see that the money is put into hiring quality staff and providing meals and supplies - exactly where you'd want to see the money placed to best benefit the kiddos. This means the building may look a little older than some of the other centers in the area. However, it's clean, well kept, and safe. One of my boys is a social butterfly; the other approaches new situations nervously. After only three months at Creative Kids, you'd never guess this was a new daycare situation for them. Both of my boys adore their teachers. Likewise, their teachers have already invested in my children. My 2 year old's speech delays have notably improved. His teacher has been GREAT about coordinating our potty training efforts. Our 5 year old has nearly completed the kindergarten prep checklist, with five months left before he starts school. He's already learning how to sit and focus on small group tasks (no small feat for our busy boy). My only minor concern - and it pales in comparison to my other impressions - is that the center still appears to be adjusting to its school-age services offerings. They now offer before-school care for a small group of elementary kids and transport them to school later in the morning. It appears this may be a newer service, as they're still finding their footing with the morning routine and the combination of school-aged kids and preschoolers. Given the competence they've shown in other areas, I'm confident they're working things out. Overall, we're extremely pleased for the value we're receiving. The opportunity for center-based daycare at home-based daycare prices is worth the tour to see the center for yourself. We're glad we did!

Love seeing so many community members together in a shared space. Everything was clean and the coffee was great! I would ask for only 2 pumps of lavender though if you don't want it to be too strong. Highly recommend getting out of the hot summer weather and spending a day in the library.

Mid Continent Library system has taken the 1855 Woodneath estate house and the surrounding 33 acres and created one of the true public gems of the metro. The original structure has been turned into themed story rooms with an attached north wing that houses the large library, a coffee shop, display cases, tons of seating options and conference rooms. The south wing attached only by covered walkway and separated by a large courtyard houses event space for regularly scheduled readings and lectures. With gardens, wetlands and trails covering the remaining acreage and connecting it to the neighborhoods and elementary school nearby. Stunning inside and out and looks similar to a presidential museum and library in it's grandiose setting with historic brick and modern stone structures juxtaposed. A hidden jewel in Clay County and Kansas City!
