My attorney never listened to what the end-goal was (simple support arrangement) and also refused to intervene with the other party when I, the client, requested. Instead, they told me that it "might intimidate" the other party instead of having my interest at heart (i.e. their client). The law office did absolutely nothing while on retainer. Besides "research" and telling me I had to file paperwork on my own to accomplish my goals (simple support arrangement), which conveniently we spoke about three separate times and they forgot about each time. The law office sent my personal information to an email address that was not used for communication (for 15 months prior) or indicated on the retainer that I sent them at the start of our arrangement for representation. When the email bounced back to the law office, they never reached out to me for clarification.

She is an island of ethics in a wasteland devoid of honor. She is an almost unheard of find...an honest, caring, and truly outstanding Attorney at law. Why such an intelligent and principled person like Ms. Rivera chose to lie with a nest of vipers is a question only she can answer. But I'm certainly glad she did, for she is what they fear most; a sincerely decent human being who can play ball in their park... and win. It was a case concerning a predator lender trying to wrongfully foreclose on a reverse mortgage they held. The defendant was a 72-year-old single woman, with MS and onset Alzheimer's disease, who subsisted on Social Security. I spent months trying to find a law firm to represent her...to no avail. But it wasn't just law firms that backed away from aiding her; other deniers included the Florida State Attorney General's Office, Legal Aid, Legal Services, the Federal Consumer Protection Bureau, and even the ACLU. And then, just one month away from the trial date, I had the good luck to find Tiller & Rivera Law. Elizabeth Rivera not only took the case, but she also did it at a price my sister could actually afford.
