We have spent the last 2 years trying to undo the damage that was done by Erika. She filed our…read moreamended return from married filing separate to married filing jointly. After months and months of waiting for a h IRS to respond we received a letter stating she indicated on the forms incorrect information and it had to be amended. She supposedly sent the amended return 3 times but could not provide any confirmation to us that she did. Finally when I spoke to an IRS rep they stated the reason there has been no update is that the numbers did not match our original return and the examiner had to disregard our paperwork. We have had an outstanding balance with the IRS which in 2023 she advised not to pay while we wait for the amended return to be accepted. We are now in collections had and have threatened leins from the IRS. We now have a new CPA who has to refile our amended return because it was done so incorrectly. Multiple areas of the form the were input wrong. GO FIND ANOTHER LICENSED CPA to help. Meanwhile we have to PAY the new cpa again to do all of this after actax happily took our money to do everything wrong.

Fast forward 2012 we filed personal and Federal taxes using this same firm. We paid DOUBLE the fee and spent less time in the office, BOTH taxes returns were filed incorrectly and the client (the one who pays for accounting services) must repair the mistakes Steve Lindenbaum makes. I spent over 19 phone calls 2 hours and countless faxes to correct incorrect tax returns that was submitted by the "accountants" Oh, whenever you call there asking to speak with Steve Lindenbaum, they never know where he is.. NEVER. So you may or may not hear from him. Even the receptionist Barbara told my husband and I "there are so many problems in this office, I dont want to work here anymore. By the way, I left a message for Steve Lindenbaum over three weeks ago in reference to another mistake he made on my Federal taxes. I am still waiting for a call back.
