We have been driving to Washington, MO from Festus for about 8 months now. We live about an hour away from Williams Brothers. We had a pretty bad experience with a local butcher shop down our way and decided to search for a better butcher shop and support our local farmers which was key to us. Not all butcher shops support local farmers and buy from anybody and anywhere. Hands down the hour drive has proven to be well worth it. I have purchased the following items on a regular basis and have experienced TOP NOTCH quality: Smoked Baby Swiss and Smoked Sharp Cheddar cheese, Beef Hot Dogs, Ground Chuck packages, Smoked Spiral Ham (Christmas), All natural Turkey (Thanksgiving), Prime Rib, Beef Brisket, Porter House Steak, Filet Mignon, Ribeye, Sliced Roast Beef, Their Honey Ham, Smoked Turkey lunchmeat, and a Roast. Everything we have purchased has been of impeccable quality. The steaks have an amazing taste. If you grew up in the 80's, and remember what real healthy beef tasted like- this is your place. They even call us by our names- which reminds me of "Cheers" and is pretty cool. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I had a side of beef cut there. I asked for steaks to be 1 1/2 inch they did 3/4 of an inch I had ribeyes that were literally 6 oz pretty difficult to cook med rare. Made an account just for this review in a little annoyed by this entire thing. Shouldn't be that difficult to cut a ribeye. read more

Ordered for my competition BBQ team for the last three years. Gave them my order three weeks before competition. Even set the day I was picking up. Was told order was not ready. Ordered a full packer brisket. Told only have flats left. Dude went in back and hacked a crappy brisket off a cow, then chucked my stuff in a box like I was bothering him. The ribs had a funky smell to them so I threw them out. Last time for sure. Great way to send customers down the road. TO be fair I haven't been in there in a few years so things could have changed, but in the past I kept hearing great things about their meat but the cleanliness factor in the butcher store needed to be better.
