WARNING !!! INFECTION !! WARNING !! My daughter ( 22yrs.) was INFECTED during surgery with Dr EDWIN WILLIAMS. She ended up in the emergency room right away and was treated with heavy Intravenous antibiotics from an infectious disease doctor..... dirty tools or unwashed hands.... I have been a patient at the Williams Center for several years, and just had my second procedure with them in April. I can't say enough about my experience with them from the receptionist Kim, to my concierge Lindsay, to the nurses Rose, Carrie, Meg, Brianna, Gabby operating room nurse Jade and most important Dr Lloreda . These are some of the staff I've seen on a regular basis and I'm sure the others are just as kind . I have been a patient here for many years and cannot say enough good things. I have seen many of the doctors and nurses over the years, whether it was in the surgical practice or in the Rejuva Center. I broke my nose in high school 1 week before prom and I was terrified of how it would look! Dr. Williams was so kind and assured me that he would do everything he could so I could go to the dance. Now looking back I can't even remember any discomfort I may have had at the prom, I am so thankful for Dr. Williams and his team! Years later I am a patient of rejuva and all of the injectors are phenomenal. I started conservatively getting Botox and it looks so natural, not overdone at all. STAY AWAY! Dr. Slaughter indeed. I had a forehead lift and upper and lower double bleth procedures in October 2022 (drooping eyelids). The entire ordeal was the WORST experience I've ever had. From the day of the surgery, two dozen needle pokes for the nurse to insert the IV, being apparently OD'd with anesthesia, was literally physically removed from the recovery room due to my inability to "wake up" and offered no compassion for the distress of the state I was in at discharge (they needed that bed!). The end result is that I have deep craters in my forehead that are visual through my hairline (can't wear my hair back anymore), string oozed out of the wounds, stitches fell out a week or so after the surgery, my drooping eyelid STILL rests on my eye lashes, impairing my peripheral vision (at six months and over a year post-op), I still have pain under my scalp, the right side of my face is NO LONGER IN LINE WITH THE LEFT SIDE, I have large scars on my face that I never anticipated, I was never prepared for any of this - Dr. Slaughter never discussed any of this with me. When I met with Dr. Slaughter post-op, he literally became angry in frustration due to my complaints - further overwhelming me with stress and anxiety. I was assured at that last meeting that Dr. Williams would make it right for me; however, he cancelled my appointment with him last minute yesterday and I got a call today that he will not see me, that I must see Dr. Slaughter only (go back to the man who screwed it up the first time?!) or they'll send me my file. Awaiting my file to take to my lawyer and a new plastic surgeon to fix this mess. This is beyond unacceptable. read more

Dr. Williams destroyed my nose; he used techniques that were too aggressive. What was supposed to be a very subtle difference, as discussed in my first appointment, was completely the opposite after surgery. I thought I was in good hands but I was very wrong. It is mind blowing how terrible my result is. I went in with one flaw and now have 4 flaws throughout my nose from the bridge to the nostrils. I would never recommend him to anyone, it is my biggest regret ever to have trusted him as my surgeon. To top it off, he not only "didn't see" all the flaws that came out of it, but acted as if he'd fix what he can, but when I called to ask another question about donor cartilage that he'd be using, he refused to answer my very important question. It showed me what kind of a man he was and what poor character he has, to completely turn away from his patient, who needs way more care now that I'm a "revision" patient. The decision to have this surgery is extremely personal, and a mental game, that he has ZERO empathy for. Him and his "patient care coordinator" Lindsay are both horrible for patient care and communication. If something goes wrong with your surgery, you are done for. They don't want to deal with that nor do they take accountability. I would never go there. They do not do what they say they are going to do. You pay thousands of dollars and then make up some kind of excuse as to why that wasn't done. I went to see Dr. Pontius for a consultation. It was my first time there at the end of the day. There was one patient waiting in the waiting room. However, I had to wait 35 minuites before Dr. Pontius could see me. She then sent a nurse in to give me prices which took another 10 minutes The Williams Center sent me a survey and I filled it out. It asked me if I want to speak to a representative from the Center.....never heard from them. I recommend you go to Dr. Rockmore from the Plastic Surgery Group. Happy with my Rhinoplasty I was 50 when I finally decided enough was enough! I was having a really hard time breathing through my left nostril. At times pulling my face so I could breath. A family member had their nose done and raved about Dr. Williams in Latham. So I made a consultation with him and he agreed I had a deviated septum. I also inquired about the bump on my nose and a crevice at the base of my nose. He reassured me that with a little cartilage he could fix the crevice, take down the bump, fix my deviated septum and even out my nostrils. It was a about a week to 2 week recovery. My nose was quite swollen when my splint came off- but I could breath and that's what was most important to me. Thank you Dr. Williams for your expertise and for doing what I asked. BEWARE! I had a bad result. My face was disfigured. Williams told me there was nothing he could do to fix it. He promised me it would resolve itself within 5 years. It didn't, and clearly Williams wanted nothing more to do with me. Instead of spending money on a lawyer, I've been to a "fixer" - a great surgeon, who, btw told me this isn't the first time he's had to undo Williams' damage. My original MOHS surgery removed skin cancer and left a deep hold over an inch in circumference where the side of the nose meets the right cheek. Dr. Slaughter terrible name for a plastic surgeon but is a fantastic doctor. I model part time and the directors and photographers have not noticed my scar and have not applied makeup, proof of exceptional results. The other noteworthy comment is the incredibly nice people that work with Dr. Slaughter. The receptionist, assistants and nurses were are always delightful. Most medical offices that I deal with have some very cranky women working the front desk; I barely put up with them because the doctor is good. Dealing with the Williams Center is the exception to the medical field. The Williams Center has great facilities, great people and a fantastic surgeon in Dr. Slaughter. read more

I had reconstructive breast surgery in October 2017 with Dr. Alain Polynice. The best word to describe him is "ARTIST." He did an impeccable job in a complicated situation. My breasts were a mess from previous surgeries including mastopexy and implant change; I had almost given up and resigned myself to having ugly boobs when a friend recommended this practice. When I met Dr. P. I knew I would detect one of two reactions from him within seconds: he'd either look at my breasts and shake his head and say "Not going near that, no desire to fix other doctors' mistakes," or "This is a no-brainer." Thankfully it was the latter. I had complete trust in him from the get-go and he did not disappoint. I'm ecstatic with my breasts for the first time in my life. Dr. Polynice is kind, patient (and for whatever it's worth, easy on the eyes - insert blushing emoji here). I should mention he fixed the work of surgeons in NYC and South America: doctors who came highly recommended and should've gotten the job done. In my hometown, Albany, Dr P. put these "geniuses" to shame. Finally, I should mention that the office staff and nurses are helpful and friendly ... the place is so clean you could eat off the floor ... and as for the surgery itself, was fast and efficient. The only thing is do not listen to the nurse's recommendations to buy scar healing products prior to surgery. I spent $85 only to find out that Dr. P. uses a different product. I lost a little $ on the return. Bummer. Overall, the price was a little high for the surgery but WORTH EVERY PENNY. Learn from my mistake. I paid a little less for those first two surgeries and wasn't happy. I spent more with Dr. P. and he got it right and I'm very happy. The cliche is true: You get what you pay for. read more

I had both a functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty done by Dr. Williams in November 2017. He is awesome, made both my mom and I feel very comfortable and in good hands during our initial meeting. I was first referred to Dr. Williams after breaking my nose upwards of 6 times and having trouble breathing. Due to the fact I have very thin skin on my nose, I was told by a few ENT's that it was imperative I go to a plastic surgeon. Both my mother and I liked Dr. Williams "natural" approach to the procedure meaning that he took care to make the minimal changes to keep the natural shape of my nose and not over do it. My uncle had also previously been to Dr. Williams after a water ski accident and spoke highly of him, solidifying the decision to have Dr. Williams conduct my procedure. The staff at the Williams Center is so friendly and helpful - they instantly put you at ease. This is obviously critical when dealing with these types of services. The office is immaculate and I have never been made to wait for longer than 5 minutes past my appointment time. In fact, there is a sign in the waiting room saying that my time is valuable and to let them know if the wait exceeds 15 minutes - try to find that in another doctor's office! As far as the procedure - and the results - I couldn't be happier! Dr. Williams is clearly very skilled at what he does and takes great pride in ensuring my satisfaction as well. Terrible! Kept us waiting literally all day - while patients with appointments even 1.5 hours after us began arriving, waiting a very long time themselves, and finally being called in. We arrived half an hour early for our appointment, to be sure we were there and to be considerate of the doctor's time. There was no reason for us to be kept waiting like this. We were first there, and last out. No explanation nor real apology was given. There was no consideration for our comfort or time. When finally he was called in, the nurse even asked my husband if he'd eaten today. How could he? He'd been siting in their waiting room for over five hours! At first you are treated with high regards. Then, when the damage is done, neglect by the physicians and you address it, you are lied to and all of a sudden, you are the problem. A physician, in this case, two, whether cosmetic or not, should know when to treat a patient and when to say, "no."
