He makes you feel comfortable. I know that it's pretty common for women to get embarrassed about these sorts of health issues, but he really makes concerns easy to talk about. His practice is great in terms of responsiveness and availability, too. I had put off an appointment and realized I wanted to squeeze one in before the end of the year and they got me in. Then I called about a prescription and even though he was away from the office, he got the prescription taken care of and called me to make sure I knew the details. I would recommend him to any woman looking for a Gynecologist.

I met with him for the first time in August 2025 and our first consultation was very detailed and he asked me many questions about my history. At my first appt I got a complimentary ultrasound to check my uterus and ovaries. After 2.5 cycles and some assistance with medication, I am thankfully 16 weeks pregnant with my double rainbow baby! Due to my age and a low AMH level, Dr. Moruzzi was determined to help me get pregnant and we succeeded. We aren't 100% sure why I had the miscarriages, but he found a couple areas where things could be improved and it worked. The clinic is very upfront about the costs on their website (if you are in the medical field, you get a 20% discount on services). Everything fertility related is out of pocket and you may pay at the clinic or sometimes you will get a bill in the mail. If you get pregnant, they can bill your insurance. Dr. Moruzzi only sees pregnant women through the 1st trimester, then you can transfer to an OB. He no longer does deliveries. The staff is very friendly. Dr. Moruzzi is also friendly and would call me sometimes at 8pm just to update me on my labs. He is blunt and will be honest with you. He is also very knowledgeable and has many years experience. Because he is the only MD, he tends to get behind schedule, so you can show up right at your appt time, or maybe call the clinic to find out if you can show up at a different time. I never really had a problem getting in to see Dr. Moruzzi in a timely manner, but it depends on your availability and of course the clinics. A year ago, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Being that it is slow growing, I spent a couple months researching the best course of treatment, given the biopsy results. To my surprise, many urologists/oncologists do a "hard sell" on the treatment they suggest. Some were downright pushy. One, I walked out of. To my relief, Dr Randy Sorum did not make a hard sell. A couple different radiation based options were presented. We discussed non-radiation treatments as well. In the end, it was my choice (borrowing a line from the feminists : "it's my body! I have a right to choose.") Last summer I went through 5 weeks of daily external radiation. This was followed by two high dose internal zaps of my prostate. I can't praise the staff and Dr Sorum enough for their professionalism and what used to be called bedside manner. I actually looked forward to my daily zapping and those who zapped me (zap is probably not an acceptable medical term). Each day was like having coffee with friends. Six months later, all is clear and my body is doing right on what Dr Sorum said it would as it recovers from the radiation. I can't ask for more than that. Other than I am a little disappointed I don't glow in the dark. (-;

Cleaned my toe up, provided several options of treatment for us to consider, cut my toenails, and during this procedure was very informative regarding the care needed for feet and ankles. I will be having regular schedule treatment appointments regarding my feet and ankles with Dr Hopkins. Ditto for the reception and nursing staff members. And a NPR then Doctor Sawyer for the last several years. Dr. Havalak was also wonderful and caring, although DR. Sawyer is also caring, down to earth, wonderful personality, truthful, and I have to say I have never had a doctor that worked so hard and would take the time to call you or a family member to check up on you. My husband has also been going to him for several years and Dr. Sawyer was concerned about his symptoms January 13th so Dr. S sent him for a CT scan that found two large cysts on his liver. Dr. Sawyer referred him to a specialist at Gastro Health, who then referred him to the U of W which has been long process. My husband has been waiting since January 27th to get a biopsy on his liver and DR. Sawyer and his wonderful nurse Misty (s/p) have not given up finding one. The Gastro Health specialist originally told us we had to go to the U of W because there was no one in Olympia or Tacoma that could do the biopsy, but then when the university Dr. finally called us for phone consultation, he said that the biopsy procedure is done by a specialist of radiology and that there had to be one in Olympia or Tacoma , so we called Dr. Sawyer to inform him of what the University Dr. told us and he and His nurse went to work on finding us The right doctor at Capital medical on the west side of Olympia to do the procedure. We got the call yesterday from Misty that they put a rush to get the biopsy and talked to South Sound radiology where CT scan and MRI was performed to get my husbands film to the Capital radiology dept. ASAP So they can view and get my husband biopsy done. Not only has Dr. sawyers nurse been wonderful keeping us updated by calling us but Dr. Sawyer himself has called my husband numerous times also.. He is the best! I am 77 and my husband is 83 and he doesn't care how old we are he still believes we have a lot of life in us to give us the best care we deserve! HE is a 10 in my book !!! He reminds me of the TV sitcom years ago called "Marcus Welby MD" although I don't think Dr. Sawyer would know who that is since he was probably in grade school or maybe not even born yet? Without all the details, I was stunned by the immediate defensive attitude of the office manager when I inquired as to why I was told my appointment was at 6:45 am (I arrived early as you do for a 1st visit), when in fact they won't open the doors until 6:45 am, so I waited in my car for 30 minutes. "Just wait in your car with the motor running." and "It's not even cold today." It was 36 degrees. I was also told I would have my annual physical (the whole reason I made the appointment) before I came in, but when I got there I was told I'd have to come back for that, that this was just a meet and greet. I can't comment on the doctors as I never saw them. I wasn't going to stay after being treated this way. Hard to describe in words how hostile they reacted to my asking questions about the offices communication. Guess they aren't used to being called out on their condescending behavior.
