I was trying to finish up an online class. Bring your headphone/ ear buds if you need to use the computers sound. I had a nice shared table area to have out notes, paper and all I needed to get my course done. They have a nice aquarium but the fish are super skittish when anybody walks by then they barely come peeping out. Some odd type yellow fish are in there. But it's still pretty and I've never seen any other library w a fish tank!

I found out this morning that there's an employee in this building that cannot read English or is…read moreilliterate and cannot follow through with a request. A DVD has to be taken from where the Dropbox is inside the building to somebody else in the building. I've been informed that whoever the employee is cannot do this and therefore the DVD hasn't been getting to the right person. I would suggest employing some people that have got some work ethics and can follow through with this simple task.

We enjoyed our little visit here though we only had a little over an hour before closing. The children's section takes up about half of the second floor. There's tons of books (obviously), DVDs, periodicals, and even artistic creations by children and community members. Looks like that's also a lot of different programs and events you can attend or join here. The building itself is quite inspiring as it's got some very nice architectural features like angled walls, wood paneling for ceilings, lots of use of metal textures and non symmetrical designs which really makes this library an interesting place to hang out at. There's even a cafe on the first floor in case you get hungry. Overall, we enjoyed our visit.

However, it does have an abundance of workstations, areas of which to study, and they even have rooms where you can use a blackboard to study with a group. Finally, they have various professional grade equipment here that you can use for special projects such as a supercomputer and other items. Best of all, this place has late hours, which is great for students who tend to work late into the night and require a computer to do research.

It's quaint, unique, and feels like a hidden gem everyone secretly knows about. What makes it extra special are the handwritten staff reviews on select books. Like actual little love notes telling you why you need to read something. It's way more fun than just reading the synopsis and it feels personal, and thoughtful. They also sell, adorable book accessories, kids' toys, and other cute knick knacks. There's even a small sale section, reasonably priced books, and some signed copies that are clearly marked. It's right by downtown, so super convenient, but definitely try to get there early because parking garages and street spots can fill up fast on weekends. Overall, it's giving cozy, and I truly loved how much personality those handwritten reviews added. It just made the whole experience feel extra special and memorable.

The library staff here is always very friendly and knowledgeable. I don't think I've ever had a…read morequestion the first person I've encountered at the desk couldn't answer. They have plenty of quiet rooms you can utilize for privacy when on video calls or to quarantine from distraction. The re are larger conference rooms for groups that tend to be very accessible with a prior reservation. If you're a guest patron or you forget your library card they often will provide a one-time access code for computer use. You can tell they do their best to accommodate. Some features I've never seen before such as the charging tower with small code secured lockers for phones/tablets. A seed library. They have a small book resale corner where I've found some gems for a couple bucks. Finally, the third floor is an intimate ultra quiet study space with several cubicles that are great for reading and studying- very peaceful. I honestly hesitate to post this review because I feel like Prescott Public Library is a best kept secret - but the establishment deserves to be recognized.

The main area of the library is already noisy, so it was frustrating when 30 minutes into my reading, the lady with short grey hair started restocking books. She was making so much noise and I even had my Bose headphones on. How come we can't have a quiet place in the library anymore? You would think the employee would wait to restock if there was something reading- it's common library etiquette.
