We were all packed under a tiny porch and they were only letting select people inside the actual building. They also took WAY too long to officially call off the show, we have radars - use them. Second, Hillary Duff (raised on Disney & Rock n Roll lol). This time I parked, and what a NIGHTMARE!! It took us 1.5 HOURS to get out of the parking lot. I live 15 minutes from the venue. Got into my car at 10:40 and didn't get home until 12:30, if that tells you about the control they have on their parking. $26 high noons and then want you to tip - absolute rip off. There are other bands I want to see here but I will look for other venues first. I'm not sure if I will return or not. It's almost quicker and easier to just go to Nashville.

The crowd definitely has its drunks, but there were lots of families and kids. Metro PD patrols around on foot, but they tend to hang closest to the porta potties and food stands. Definitely eat and drink before you get in here because as you could expect, prices are insane.

The mansion as of August (2026) has an incredible collection of paintings on loan from the Nashville Parthenon that's not to be missed. We enjoyed the lush garden outside in the backyard; that's also where the President was buried. The video introduction at the museum when you first enter was very interesting, and good preview of his life and legacy. Stopped by the gift shop to get some souvenirs and toys for the kids. Everyone walked away happy!

And the Yurts were pricey but AC, running bathroom, very clean and cozy so can't complain. They also have the ability to project images across the walls and ceiling of the cave offering a fully immersive experience. For being inside a cave the amenities are quality. Bathrooms are large and accessible and the concessions operate smoothly. The prices for the concessions are on the extremely high side. Rivaling prices of a professional sporting event, beers run between $11-$14 a can! The Caverns also continues to expand and now offers a food truck court. The food truck court offers multiple food options and flat top areas for eating. The Caverns also host a 6k person amphitheater located on top of the cave for an outdoor music experience.

This FREE concert series at Cumberland Park on the East bank of the Cumerland river (next to LP…read moreField) started this year and runs the third Sunday of each month from August to November (4 concerts total). It goes from 5-7pm and will be returning next year in case you can't make the last date of November 21st. It features famous jazz musicians playing original and classic tunes. They play in the amphitheater in the park, and there are no seats, so bring a blanket or chairs or, if you can make it, you can sit on the wall. I heard about this through the Artober Nashville promotions, and having never been to Cumberland Park I decided to give it a try. I will review that park in a seperate post, but it is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to go there again. Beautiful views of downtown Nashville at sunset with our wonderful pedestrian bridge...yeah its pretty much the best setting ever for a free jazz concert. And Nashville, for being Music City, we sure do lack good jazz. But apparently you've realized that, and found a solution in this little gem. I thank you for that. This is still a new event so it wasn't crowded, and it was very relaxing. There's a concession stand near the bridge but that's all for food or drink as of now, so I recommend packing a picnic, and bringing extra clothes as its chilly this time of year (not so in the summer months). It's a great way to wind down a Sunday, and like I said you can't beat the views. The musicians were beyond talented, and the music is so soothing. The quartet that played this weekend did a great rendition of "What a Wonderful World" that seemed to resonant with the surroundings themselves. I will be going to the one in November, even if I have to wear winter gear to do so. I will absolutely support this great idea so it keeps happening. Please, remind Music City that we like more than country. This was a great event and I am so happy I got the chance to try it out.

They had a food truck circle at the end of the path and snack vendors along the way. It might be me, but I feel like this event is overshadowed by some of the other outdoor musical events and it shouldn't. It's a perfect way to end your week!
