This Con was a blast. Great lineup of guest. Reasonably priced. I will definitely be waiting for this event to return.

Classic video games like Pac-Man that kind of stuff. There are tons of pinball machines which you have to pay to play. Most of them are one token but there's one special one that's five tokens. One token=$1. There's also a bunch of outside patio games that you can play. We actually came because they were playing bingo, which is also free to play and it was really fun. Started at 7:00 and had actual prizes that you could win. We got a gift card for five dollars that you could use for food or drinks. The french fries at this arcade/bar. We're actually some of the best I've had in a long time you can tell they're definitely fresh cut and cooked when they order them. I had the chipotle burger, and it was really good and one of my party had the mushroom Swiss burger and loved it and we also got the nachos. It's a little bit more expensive than a casual sit down, but the atmosphere was fun. Wheelchair accessibility: everything was really open and there was a nice long steady ramp up to the front door. There was a zero rise entry and the bathroom was pretty good. The soap was a little bit high. There is no seating that is not barstool height in the front where the bingo was and so that would be difficult, but there is some seating on the patio that's accessible. The games are all old-school cabinet style games and so it would be a little bit high for someone in a traditional wheelchair.

I've lived in the Nashville area for a little over a decade now and every time I think I've seen a…read moreshow at every venue in town, I'm reminded of ones that have slipped me. The Bluebird Cafe was perhaps the biggest blind spot in my adventures as a concert goer. Thankfully for me, a can't miss opportunity arose and I was able to get tickets for it. I'm a HUGE Drive By Truckers fan and I've seen the band a dozen+ times live across the country. I've seen co-founder Patterson Hood solo a few times, but never Mike Cooley (the other co-founder) as he's simply never played live in a city I was living in or close to on a solo tour...until now. So when I saw he was doing 2 back to back shows at the Bluebird, a venue I had yet to experience, it seemed sort of kismet. I logged on when tickets went on sale and bought a great seat instantly for a very reasonable price. When I arrived, it was a bit early so I parked in the back gravel lot which was completely empty. There are Reddit scammers urging you to use Parkit and other apps to find a spot when you go to the Bluebird, but at least on this visit (a Thursday night for a sold out show) there was plenty of parking in the free gravel lot and in the lot for the adjacent bank which allows parking post 4:30...plus across the street in the Hillsboro neighborhood. If you have to Uber, there's a massive free lot at Green Hills mall 2 minutes away. Entry was easy, service was friendly. It's a cozy, warm environment. Food was good-- I ordered a "Bluebird basket" of chicken tenders and fries. I had a couple of beers and a whiskey on the rocks (Bulleit). They have a solid bar menu, some good beers (but none on tap), wine, and a few cocktail options. All reasonably priced. The show was fantastic. I love that they enforce a no-talking during the show and no late entry policy. Acoustics are fantastic. Service is friendly. Bathrooms are even clean, lol. It's a Nashville institution for a reason. See a show here.

They have started doing a little better about having outlet options, but mainly at those tall, long skinny tables. The ones that aren't necessarily great for working because they're so high up and can make your legs feel weird after awhile. Haha. The other semi complaint I have is that they close early. 3 pm is early when you want to try and work. Drinks are good. I don't drink a ton of coffee these days, but what I've had there was good. I get either their chai or matcha. Both of those I enjoy! I had a sandwich there recently. I wanted to roll my eyes at the price truthfully. However, when it came.. WOAH. It was GIANT. I was thoroughly impressed. It was really really good. I had to take half of it home and put it in the fridge. When I came back home hours later... it was STILL GOOD. The bread was not soggy either! That's HUGE! Ok so overall, I highly recommend this place and it's one of my go to spots.

I'd still consider going back since they're open fairly late, which I really appreciate. There's a small parking lot next to the shop, which is convenient. Overall, a fun spot for the atmosphere even if the coffee didn't quite hit for me.

Set inside a historic building that somehow pulls off industrial cool meets laid-back hangout, this place isn't just a restaurant--it's a whole vibe. You've got open space, energy flowing, and yeah... bowling lanes casually sitting there like "why not make dinner competitive?" Now let's get into the food--because this menu came to play: Flash fried broccoli with sunflower seed aioli - crunchy, nutty, and low-key addictive... the kind of dish that makes you forget you're eating vegetables. Cabrini chili fried cauliflower - bold heat, crispy edges, and not playing it safe at all. Braised short rib - melt-in-your-mouth, rich, and exactly what you hope for when you order it. Hot honey fried chicken with greens - sweet heat done right, crispy outside, juicy inside... no notes. And shoutout to Taylor, who absolutely carried the experience. All smiles, dialed in on the menu, and knew exactly how to guide us through the hits. Service like that just makes everything taste better.

If you come here for nothing else, let it be the Pinewood Classic Tots (Bravas spice, parmesan,…read moreparsley, paprika aioli). These are simply phenomenal and are delicious even without the aioli. I would order these as my main dish and hoard them all to myself, haha But I did not know this at the time so I also ordered the Turkey and brie wrap (pinewood roasted turkey, brie, garlic aioli, arugula, cranberry chutney, flour tortilla, came with salad). This was just OK - there was too much sauce on my wrap (honestly, my fault, I only like the tiniest smear on sandwiches and I forgot to ask for it on the side). The salad was heavy on the vinaigrette, to the point where the lettuce was wilty and droopy. Everything tasted fine though. The ambiance is cool, there is a bowling alley in the back, and the main dining room has tall ceilings and kind of reminded me of an airplane hangar. Our server was friendly, but she was given a huge table of people that had small kids with them and they were taking all of her time with a million questions so for a while I wondered if we were ever going to be able to pay and leave. Normally sitting and chilling out is no problem but we had to be on the road and a storm was coming so I was a little more on edge this time. Oh also lunch here is EXPENSIVE. It was almost $80 for two people and nothing we ordered was the most expensive dish. Just be aware.
