I went on the strength of other reviews and was not disappointed. This is a multigenerational family owned and conscientiously run business. They clearly take pride in having a clean modern and cheerful space. I was surprised at the speed of their machines. A decent size load only took 19 minutes to wash. I had brought a book and I barely had time to crack it open. Drying took about 25 minutes. Cost me less than six dollars and a pleasant conversation about the area to boot. There's always dog hair in the machines, sometimes it reeks. left my clothes to dry for 30min, I come back and everything is still wet. Someone must've opened it right after I left or the dryer is dysfunctional. Didn't even bother because I won't be using this laundromat again. read more

Came to this location to wash 4 loads of laundry to take to Goodwill and upon walking in were quickly identified as amateurs when the attendant, Becky, quickly jumped into action and saved us resulting in the confused and bewildered looks on our faces being replaced with smiles and happiness. I have been doing my laundry here every week for a long time. I now have changed and will never go back there again. I always use there largest washer and the last 2 timed I have been there can't use them cause they are using it for there laundry. Then when asked about using one they was rude. Will not ever go back there read more

We sold our house on the West Coast and we've been living in a motorhome for months as we move to Cookeville. So we've use lots of laundry mats along the way, some in very expensive RV resorts. But this one beats them all. Here's what we liked. Staffed. They were cleaning the whole time we were there. They were there to help and advise you with unusual items. Not only was the place spotless but it's open design and being staffed made it a very secure place to do laundry. They also have a fluff and fold by the pound service. They have 32 washers and 32 dryers. Multiple sizes of each Including two of the biggest washing machines I've ever seen in a laundry mat. They were all modern commercial machines beautifully maintained. A loaded card paying system so no hundreds of coins to deal with. Excellent folding tables and laundry carts. Spotless restrooms. Plenty of places to sit. Well-maintained vending machines for both laundry supplies and refreshments. One of the fastest internets we've encountered on our whole journey. This is the laundromat of your dreams. I'm up there in years (73 to be exact), and I fortunately have my own washer and dryer. But not for the big stuff, like quilts. So I only go in there rarely for the jumbo washers. Family owned and the place is SPOTLESS. (Quite a bit different than when I lived in NYC. Just sayin'!) And I hadn't a clue as to how to put money on the laundry card, how much to put, how much drying time would be necessary, how to work the machines... let's just say every step of the way was taught to me beautifully, carefully and with kindness. AND I was reminded to take my large tide container with me (I probably would have forgotten and remembered halfway home) AND it was pointed out to me that they have rolling baskets in which to place your laundry. AND he even remembered the little detergent cup that I had brought and wondered where it was and whether or not I had gotten it. I mean.... Not only is it clean, the machines work wonderfully, but you've got someone running the place who really cares and goes out of his way to help. Ok...so I have never reviewed a laundrymat on Yelp...but the truth is when you travel alot...it is not always convienient to do laundry at the hotel. So, to yelp I went to find a place close to wash a couple of loads. Since it worked out well, I decided I should give them a good review too. My opinion of laundrymats in general is primarily....hot, dirty, rip-off place I dont want to be. This place was thankfully quite the opposite. New machines, free wifi, flat screen tvs, very clean. They offer a wash n fold service for drop off to be done onsite, dry cleaning to be sent out for one day service, as well as a large number of machines to do your own laundry. The machines only take cards, so no need to bring cash for quarters. They are staffed, so they are constantly cleaning the machines, the floors the bathrooms, etc. They are close to the university, so there were several students on laptops utilizing the free wifi, a couple of single guys watching a game on one of the flat screen tv's, a couple of families doing the weekly laundry, and a retired couple on vacation in a mountain cabin, doing laundry before continuing their road trip. The commercial large capacity washers are extracting washers, so the clothes come out ready for a quick dry...Everything was dry on med heat in 14 minutes. So, we spent less than an hour, and it was clean, w helpful staff, free wifi, and no shady characters hanging around. So, if you are in the area looking for a place to do laundry, this is a good option. read more
