I have lived in this community long enough to know the difference between normal challenges and poor management. Unfortunately, since the current property manager, Norma, took over, the quality of living here has declined significantly. Before she became the property manager, this community certainly had occasional issues--as every apartment complex does--but nothing close to what residents are experiencing today. The change has been noticeable and has affected the quality of life for many of us. Before anything else, I want to make one thing very clear: this review is not directed at the entire office staff. The other two office employees have always been kind, respectful, and helpful whenever they can. Likewise, the remaining maintenance technician works incredibly hard and is doing the best he can under extremely difficult circumstances. The problem is not the employees--it is the management. I also want to make it clear that I took the time to speak with several of my neighbors before writing this review. Everything I mention here is based on our shared experiences as residents, not rumors or assumptions. These are ongoing issues that many of us have experienced firsthand. Maintenance requests are taking months to be completed. Two maintenance employees have already left because of the work environment, leaving only one technician to maintain the entire property. No matter how dedicated he is, one person simply cannot keep up with the workload. Residents have also experienced apartments without working air conditioning during the Texas summer. No one should have to live under those conditions, and no new resident should be moved into an apartment without a functioning A/C in this heat. Another major concern is the swimming pool. It has been closed since last year. Normally, it would reopen around April, yet we are now in the middle of summer, children are on vacation, and there has been no reopening and no meaningful communication about when--or even if--it will reopen. Amenities are part of what residents pay for, and it is frustrating to continue paying full rent while losing access to them for such an extended period. Residents pay their rent on time and should receive the basic services they are paying for. It is not the residents' responsibility to compensate for understaffing or poor management decisions. If the property does not have enough employees to maintain the community properly, that is an issue management and corporate need to address--not something residents should have to live with. My family is now seriously considering moving elsewhere because of the current management. That is disappointing, because the property itself has potential. Based on what many residents have experienced since Norma became the property manager, I sincerely believe corporate should evaluate whether she has received the training, support, and leadership preparation necessary for a position of this responsibility. The decline in this community has been significant since her arrival, and many of us feel that the current leadership is not meeting the standards residents deserve. Good communities don't struggle to keep residents--they earn their trust. When families begin considering moving because of management rather than the property itself, that should be a warning sign. I sincerely hope corporate takes these concerns seriously. The residents deserve better, the hardworking employees deserve better, and this community deserves better leadership. read more

living here has been a great experience the maintenance team is always on top of things and the staff has been nothing but kind I appreciate the leasing agent Sharon for always going above and beyond to take care of her residents . it's a pleasure living on a property that is so well kept and where the workers reflect that they love the job they do . read more

These apartments suck. Have been out of there for 5 months and wouldn't ever move back in. Before I moved in since day 1 before I moved any of my stuff in I went to go look at the place after I got my key and there was roaches all over the walls. I had to bomb it like 3 times before I can move any of my stuff in i called the off to inform them all they said was they could send pest control on a Thursday in 3 weeks. The issue never went away I had to cure the apartment by my self it was an embarrassment and money spent out of my pocket I never got back. Also I never got my deposit back they claimed to have mailed it baxk to the apartment where I longer lived? then to the address I gave them which it never got there. I been waiting since October of 2023 it's now ending of February. I call and they do not answer I have to drive there everytime to check what's going on the manager who is supposed to help get it back has not reached out to me at all. I call about 5 times never get an answer. Phone just rings. DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE OR DEALING WITH THE MANAGEMENT. read more

WARNING: TOWING HIGH ENFORCED WARNING: PARKING SUCKS On June 4, 2017, my boyfriend had to park my car in front of the office, due to the fact there was no parking left inside of the gate. On June 5, 2017, I went to start my car only to find out my battery died. I went to get a visitor pass from the front office so that way my vehicle would not get towed. On June 6, 2017, I got a call from my co-worker stating that they needed a ride. I left at 8:00 AM and did not return to my apartment until around 10:00 AM, to find my car missing. I first assumed my car was stolen, due to the fact it was the only car missing. My boyfriend immediately called Bexar Towing and sure enough they had my car. The reason being is that it was parked in the "Future Resident Parking" location. There are ZERO signs stating that it's a "Future Resident Parking" only. The lady in the front office stated that I "should have came into the office at 8:30 AM" in order to explain my battery died or have moved my vehicle before 8:30 AM. Seeing that neither company could assist in my situation, I turned to my lease. On page 4 of 8 in the section, "While Living in the Apartment": "21. PARKING. We may regulate the time, manner, and place of parking all cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, boats, trailers, and recreational vehicles. Motorcycles or motorized bikes must not be parked inside an apartment, on sidewalks, under stairwells, or in handicapped-parking areas. We may have any unauthorized or illegally parked vehicles towed or booted according to state law at the owner or operator's expense at any time if the vehicle: (a) has a flat tire or is otherwise inoperable; (b) is on jacks, on blocks, or has a wheel missing; (c) takes up more than one parking space; (d) belongs to a resident or occupant who has surrendered or abandoned the apartment; (e) is in a handicapped space without the legally required handicapped insignia; (f) is in a space marked for office visitors, managers, or staff; (g) blocks another vehicle from exiting; (h) is in a fire lane or designated "no parking" area; (i) is in a space marked for another resident or apartment; (j) is on the grass, sidewalk, or patio; (k) blocks a garbage truck from access to a dumpster; (l) has no current license or registration, and we have give you at least 10 days' notice that the vehicle will be towed if not removed; or (m) is not moved to allow parking lot maintenance." If you're interested in this apartment complex, than you know it's income based. Considering it's classified as "low income housing", I don't have $220.00 to spend. You can see my frustration where there are ZERO signs about the area being a "Future Resident Parking" location or that my vehicle "should be removed by 8:30 AM". Seeing that I'm not violating these regulations and/or policies, than why was my vehicle towed? Why am I paying $220.00? I can understand if they towed my vehicle due to the fact it's "inoperable". Considering they claim that they "didn't know", I find my frustration growing with this management. This is the reason that I will NOT be renewing my lease at the end of this month. The staff at Willow Bend Apartments were extremely efficient and friendly. The process of finding a suitable rental, taking care of the application and other paperwork was dealt with very smoothly. While I didn't qualify to live there, Jessica, the property manager tried everything she could to help me. I was so pleased with the whole process, it was just something out of her control. The property is very clean. The apartment I saw was spacious for the price and I would highly recommend these apartments! read more

So I'm in the market for an apartment and this location was near work...I stopped I'm today and to my surprise the moment I walked in the leasing agent was the rudest individual ever. I asked to see apartments and I was immediately hit with a brick wall of no's. She said there were no apartments available. I said ok but looking for end of September. She said we don't have a waiting list. I'm still trying to save this negative interaction so I say well can I see an apartment (because what apartment complex doesn't have a model right)...again no we don't have anything. I said okay and left. I'm glad they showed their true colors from jump because who wants to deal with an apartment that allows such rude staff to work for them? read more

Hoerible management, had my car towed when they had no right to be taken at all. Talking to the manger Heidi was like talking to a confused rude 12 year old. Never took in consideration anyone who lives here. Gates always broken, and gate code never works either. Don't live here. Save yourself from mangers like Heidi and live somewhere else. read more
