Overall different as night and day from the rest of the businesses in Clayton. Here's my story if you're interested: I'm new to the area and decided to pop in for a beer after a long day of work. I looked up at all the alcohol displayed on the counter and didn't see beer, so I asked if they sold beer. Pam looks at me like I'm an idiot and says "Uh...yeah, this is a BAR, so there's beer". (Fun fact, there's at least 2 places across the street with bars that only sell wine and/or cocktails. Wasn't that dumb of a question). She hands me the beer and waits for me to take a sip before telling me the price. I hand her my card and she says "CASH ONLY" like some kind of troll creature. I asked if I missed a sign that may have indicated this, but was met with a stern "we don't need one". I said "huh, you should probably at least warn people". And she said "well we've never had a problem in 40 years (I doubt that) so we're not gonna change it just because one guy doesn't like it". Pretty crazy that apparently I'm the only guy in town who lives in the 21st century, right? I ended up barely having enough loose cash on me to pay for the beer, and I left the change (25 cents) as a tip. Hopefully they spend it on a "cash only" sign. Pam then did the greatest possible thing she could've done for the remainder of my time in that putrid hole and didn't say another word to me. If there's one lesson I learned as a 26 year old who's been going to bars for half a decade and has never had this issue, it's that just because it's the year 2023 and a place has air conditioning and a TV doesn't mean they've figured out card readers.

The service was fine but the food really stood out and we will be back for sure!
