Just to back-track, we first got a consult with another provider in town..(way back when at the beginning of the process), and that provider and staff never used my son's name in the appointment. They just walked in and each separately said "hello". It is not hard to look first on the paperwork and see who you are greeting for the first time, especially when you want their business. That just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Also, the main provider was dressed like a Louis Vuitton fashion show with everything flashy and high-end (shirt, etc). I love fashion as much as the next person, but I couldn't help but get the impression that my son would be more of a tool on how to get money for that providers' clothes, than a focus on care. So, in a nutshell, when we went to Brandon Linn's office, the initial appointment was very down to earth and personal, professional and kind. I have seen a few dentists over the last five years, having moved quite a bit, and this practice has been the best I have attended. First, Bianca at the front desk. Quick to smile and very knowledgeable about insurance. You know that goes a long way. She knew what my insurance would cover when I walked in the door and knew my HSA would cover the rest. That's a big deal because many places are "We will bill you later", which is another way of saying, "Get ready for the surprise!". Dr. Sturdivant cleaned my teeth on my first visit and I did have a cavity that I needed to come back for. She gave a very thorough cleaning without stabbing my gums. You know what I am talking about. On the cavity, I didn't feel the pain numbing needle at all. Quick, thorough, and answered every question I asked. I do tend to ask questions about the process, tools,etc. My sister is a dental hygenist in Connecticut so I have become very interested in best practices. Dr. Sturdivant may be 2nd generation family dentist, as I think I gleaned from a passing conversation that her father may have been a dentist (minor speculation). That would not surprise me as I can tell/feel she understands dentistry. The office is a little young age wise in staff and therefore I find them fun, light hearted, eager to please yet still focused on task. I'm writing this to help others make an informed decision, because I wish I had known what I was getting into. 1 Safety Issues During Routine Care During a standard cleaning, a hygienist accidentally disconnected a drill bit inside my mouth and it dropped near my throat. Their only instruction was "Do not swallow." I had to sit up slowly and hope nothing caused internal injury. You shouldn't have to fear for your life during a routine cleaning. 2 Extremely High Staff Turnover & Lack of Continuity In just two years I have had four different dentists. Each time I had to re-explain my treatment plan because there was no handoff or follow through. One dentist even told me he was frustrated with the management here, and he left shortly after. It does not feel like anyone is accountable for a long term patient relationship. 3 A Costly Mismanaged Aligner Treatment I was sold a $3,000 orthodontic aligner treatment that a later dentist questioned as unnecessary. I started on a monthly payment plan but was pressured to pay the entire remaining balance halfway through. Once a third dentist reviewed the case, he expressed confusion about the treatment choice and pointed out that the previous dentist may not have even placed the attachment buttons correctly. The practice then switched to a different aligner company because the first system was not working. At that point it became clear the entire treatment had been poorly planned from the beginning. The new aligners didn't fit, so the treatment stopped entirely. I've now been waiting over four months for a refund on services they did not complete. I've only received vague, dismissive updates like "We'll look into it." Meanwhile, they have no problem repeatedly contacting you if you owe even a few dollars due to insurance adjustments. Bottom Line If you value: Consistent care Clear communication Professional management Respect for your time and financial investment ...then I recommend considering other dental practices in the area. I genuinely hope Station Dental improves, but based on my experience, I would not trust them with further care.

Just like EVERY DENTIST you need to get all estimates up front. Most are run by corporate trying to extract every penny possible. Be alert and question everything! That being said I proceeded with a crown and fillings. Unlike another Castle Rock dentist who wanted to pull the decade molar, the suggested a root canal and crown. Perfect! They were able to come up with a treatment plan and path forward to finishing her braces and getting into retainers. There were several in the family that got dropped by NEO suddenly mid treatment without warning, they stepped up to the plate to help us, and were so grateful. The doctor is so friendly, and so are many of the office staff as well. We enjoy coming here. And I would recommend giving them a call if you're in need of orthodontic treatment.
