From beginning at front desk to the nursing staff in holding area, to the nursing staff in OR....they were fantastic. They were absolutely professional kind helpful and made being there not so scary. I saw some reviews on here that surprised me. If you get there on time and are there before scheduled time you will fill out paperwork and sign your consent. I was there 30-45 minutes early knowing surgery can be delayed by weather, congested roads,and other emergencies they may have..plus it makes their job much harder when others come late or take medicines or food they shouldn't and leave the staff and others who are there on time to fall behind. Today was a great day outside of surgery and I am truly grateful for their care. This was a wonderful positive experience and I appreciate all of their kindness care and compassion. In our initial meeting with Dr. Julia R. Plevnia, DDS, her demeanor was APPALLING, RUDE AND ARGUMENTATIVE. We felt like she treated us like Privates in her prior military career - salute and obey her every command. Since we decided not to have the oral surgery with her, she said that Delta Dental refused to pay $100 claim she filed with them, and she billed us. I called Delta Dental, and they TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT receive a claim from her! Then, she sent her $100 claim a Collection Agency. UNBELIEVABLE! Avoid this office like the plague.

I called to make an appointment and Sharon asked the last time I had xrays. I told her I wasn't sure and she said that I would have to pay if insurance had recently paid. I asked her if she could call Aetna for me and she said she didn't have the manpower and I would have to do it. I told her that I was too busy to do it and I would have to call another dentist and she just hung up on me. Flat out hung up. I called back to tell her thank you for hanging up on me and she said , "You are too high maintenance" and hung up again. There are ways to handle customers and this isn't one. My family will be bringing our teeth to someone else for the next 20 years. What a shame for the dentist who will miss out on this revenue and may be a good man and good dentist. Be careful of who you hire when they represent you to the public.

Holly Dental - Dr. Nielson Review…read more I hate leaving bad reviews, but my experience at Holly Dental has been nothing short of a nightmare. Three weeks ago, I had two fillings done--one on the front bottom right and another in the back bottom right. As soon as the Novocaine wore off, I was in severe pain, which was completely unexpected since I've had many fillings in the past without any issues. For three days, I was popping ibuprofen every eight hours just to manage the pain. It was unbearable! I finally went back to Dr. Nielson, who told me I had a gum infection from the numbing shot and prescribed antibiotics. However, even after finishing the antibiotics, the pain persisted. Dr. Nielson then referred me to an endodontist to rule out the need for a root canal. Thankfully, all the tests came back negative, so no root canal was necessary. But here I am, still dealing with pain in my right ear and jaw, which sometimes radiates down my neck. To make matters worse, the area behind my right bottom teeth is swollen every morning. I've attached a picture taken just one week after the fillings, showing clear damage to my gums. I expected a routine dental procedure to be just that--routine. Instead, I've been left in constant discomfort and frustration. I can't recommend Holly Dental based on my experience. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

I had to remove two mercury type fillings and they did it the smart way reducing my exposure and their own. In addition I had them remove a silver mixed cap and made it a full porcelain cap and the cool part is all done in office same day. The cap is way better than my last cap and feels like a real tooth. They're here to serve you and meet all your needs safely and holistically. I've told all my friends this should be their new dentist especially for a lot things since they are the only one who can accept insurance for parts of their service and make it all affordable.
