We had a very disappointing experience with this orthodontic practice. I brought my son in for Invisalign treatment, and over the course of his care, we were seen by two different orthodontists--both of whom left the practice, and left limited documentation. We were then left under the supervision of a general dentist, not a certified orthodontist. Unfortunately, my son's orthodontic issues were never properly followed through or corrected. We recently had an evaluation with a new orthodontist who confirmed he now needs a full orthodontic retreat. Despite this, the original practice has refused to offer any kind of refund or resolution to help cover the cost of correcting the failed treatment. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and costly. I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking reliable and consistent orthodontic care. read more

I wanted to share my experience with this clinic. I visited on 2/17/2025 after seeing an advertisement for a $59 package that included cleaning, X-rays, and more. I scheduled an appointment and went in, and overall, the staff-- including the hygienist and doctor-- was friendly. I had my X-rays and cleaning done, but when it came time to pay, I was charged nearly $250. When I asked why, they told me my cleaning was different, even though I had specifically asked over the phone what type of cleaning was included in the package. They assured me that as long as I had healthy gums, the price wouldn't exceed $59, as it covered plaque removal. My oral health is good--I have some minor plaque, but nothing serious--so my cleaning should have been within the package scope. I don't mind paying for services and value people's time as I expect mine to be valued. However, I felt misled and scammed, as I wasn't informed upfront about this pricing difference. Over the phone, they had said additional charges would only apply if I had gum disease, yet my experience was different. For anyone considering this clinic, be mindful of potential discrepancies to avoid a similar experience. That said, the staff and doctor were genuinely great. read more

They could not replace my retainer because "120 days has passed" even though they never provided the first retainer which I had paid for. The office manager Kelsey hung up on me when I tried to explain what happened and was not interested in refunding me in full even though the Invisalign service was not completed. My ortho retired mid treatment and it seems the entire office staff was replaced as well. Somewhere in this turnover my retainers were lost and I was forgotten about as a patient. It's been a few years since I had been to this dental office. I had taken a hiatus during Covid - not wanting to be near people in general. Now that I'm back, it's better than ever. Dr. Fischer is always kind and talks through the treatment plan so I can understand. No complaints for Dr Fischer!! I look forward to seeing him! (Am I weird? I love dental visits). I was shocked and absolutely delighted to see his dog George in the office at my recent appt! I see a lot of reviews on here speaking negatively about George the dog. Here's the thing...a dog in the office 100% made the experience more enjoyable! A lot of people are afraid of the dentist. Having George there is such a great way to get your mind off the worry. It's like having your own personal emotional support dog during your visit. Since my appt, I've convinced many people that do NOT like going to the dentist to make appts at Modern Dental specifically to see George. Dr Fischer is great also hahah! So to all those complaining...dogs are not for everyone. But I think you're the exception. Not the rule! I have been going to this dental practice since the original dentist started it many years ago (around 2004). I have stayed on as a patient when they sold it to the current owners. There were many red flags from the start, however, I stayed thinking things would get better. Well, they have not and it got worse. Every time I would go, they would find something that needed to be done which I found odd. Nonetheless, I was going along with their opinions while spending thousands of dollars over a few years. I feel that there is a competency issue with their dentist. I have lost all faith and trust in this practice. The final straw was the dentist bringing his large smelly dog into the examination room while working on my teeth. So unprofessional. I had to finally find a new dentist to correct some of the work that was done at this practice incorrectly. You have been warned! read more

I've been going here to the ortho for a year and a half. I have not once had a pleasant or smooth experience. I do not recommend going here.

I have been with LTMD for 3 years. The past few visits have given me the "ick" and today I'd had enough! I went in for a cleaning and to have a chipped tooth fixed. Instead, Dr. Fisher drilled into my perfectly fine tooth and claimed it needed a filling. I had been told previously that the chipped tooth repair would still require numbing and clarified with hygienist the purpose of the visit. With my mouth numb she asked me to do "press down and grind" and I said ""wait! Why are we doing this?! We weren't doing anything that affected my bite!" The chip in my tooth was at the gum line. It was at that time she informed me that the dentist had drilled into my tooth. She then tried to force her way back into my mouth and I had to push her hand out of the way. I sat straight up and demanded to speak with the dentist. He came in and started yelling at me about how the tooth was decaying and he'd been doing this for 20 years and I shouldn't be questioning him. I stood my ground and said the decaying part was an out right lie because it hadn't been brought up in any of my previous visits. In the end I told him I was never coming back and he then he did a terrible job of finishing my tooth filing and I have a new appointment with another office to fix his work. He always has his giant dog in the office which I find unprofessional and uncomfortable considering I have allergies and a fear of large animals. I had to ask 3X for the dog to be kept out of my appointments before I was finally heard. Just please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! He drilled into my tooth for something that wasn't there when he was just supposed to fix a chip! Then got mad at me when I called him out on it. I spoke loudly enough so the other patients could hear. I was done being silent. I am so happy to be done with this place. It feels like I've just ended a toxic relationship! read more

This review is for Dr. Chan before the office move. Disorganized admin, couldn't tell me an estimate of how much the services would be after insurance, and prescribed a solution that ended up badly staining my teeth after following instruction. Lesson learned for me is that a dental office might make it sound like a deep clean is the same as a regular clean. This is usually handled very differently when it comes to insurance. Make sure you understand what you are getting and how it is billed. Hopefully things are a lot better now since the move, but I won't be finding out. read more

BEWARE of the good reviews on this business (probably encouraged by a company marketing scheme). Read the NEGATIVE reviews posted as they seem to have consistency in the horrible customer service, up-charging, and billing issues their clients have had. Additional details: My wife had dental work done in the amount of $4845.00 that we paid in full on her credit card per their payment plan provided. She was told that additional work was still needed at additional high cost. It seemed again very costly, so she checked with other area Dentists. The work was not necessary, she completed future dental work and cleanings at a reliable company. There are many good dentists in the area, it is worth checking them out! After the payment plan was paid and completed, an additional $59.00 charge was added later to the credit card, the office told her it was in error and would be credited. It was not. A call later to the office confirmed the charge would be removed from the credit card. It was not. The $59.00 was disputed and removed by the credit card company since there was no response from this company with the documentation submitted. Again, this unauthorized charge was added to our credit card and again removed due to no response. Then, additional $59 billings were mailed by this company. This unauthorized charge would have been paid if it was due and explained. Calls to the office were ignored and no return calls received after messages were left for the billing department. It was not paid due to no response and a bill that was not due according to all documentation. Instead, this company referred the $59 to a collection agency. It's amazing the stupidness and time/cost spent trying to collect this additional $59 without any communication whatsoever and causing another negative review to be written. Just communicate and they would have received their $59 if it was a legitimate charge. They probably also don't know what this additional charge is. read more

Unfortunately there are many areas with this group needing improvements. I scheduled my first visit via Zocdoc through Delta Dental website. Dr. Fisher said they were not expecting me since "Zocdoc appointments don't show up on their roster". I had called the office weeks prior to my appointment to confirm live and spoke with the receptionist. Also, I had sent in the required paperwork prior to my appointment but they could not find it even though it was done online. Finally I sent my teeth x-rays before my appointment and they were not presented to the dentist nor the hygienist by the incompetent receptionists. I met Dr. Fisher for the first time. He rushed through the procedure and NEVER asked my what my goals were for dental care. He NEVER asked me if I had any issues or concerns with my teeth. The "polisher" was very inexperienced and polished my teeth before cleaning. Backwards if you ask me. Tracy the hygienist was very nice and professional. My parents have been attending this dentist's office for over 15+ years, when it sold and my mother had issues with a tooth, they completely messed it up multiple times. When she went back to get it replaced (for the third time) Dr. Fisher put the wrong color in. She went back for a FOURTH time for the same issue and he said your problem, not mine and left the room. Hard to put into words the absolute level of disrespect from the doctor. My mom left in tears. ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST AND OFFICE. They will take your deposit and not do good or correct work. At the very least, I expect people to have a human level of respect. Not the case- can't warn people enough of this office. My nightmare start from here. This is the worst place I've never seen before. The doctor are very irresponsible.

I won't be back. Made an appt with AnnMarie at the front desk for a cleaning only and verified a 2nd time before hanging up. I was planning on a same day crown elsewhere which would require xrays and likely an exam. The crown this place did last year was such a bad experience and the ordeal took over a month. The young hygienist took me back and informed me there would be xrays & exam prior to the cleaning. I refused stating that I had reverified cleaning only. She informed me she was not comfortable with that and I replied it wasn't going to happen. She went to the front then came back and said it was the "LAW", I had to have xrays. I went to the front and complained that the staff needed better training and I should have been informed when I made the appt. This woman informed me also that it is the "LAW" and I had to have xrays. I said tell me the statute in which the government mandates citizens are required to have xrays, of course she couldn't. I am a board certified in both diagnostic AND therapeutic radiation. All of my degrees are also in this field. No such "LAW" exists. How many people fall for this type of coercion? To compound the stupidity of this office the little twit of a hygienist stuck her head out and said when I decided to have the xrays to come on back. I replied "not a chance" Four friends have also stopped going there because of double billing and adding unneeded services. read more

First of all, this dental practice charges a $50 deposit to book a root canal. Second, when they messed up the schedule and didn't have the date we paid for, we asked for a refund. They agreed. 10 days later and they haven't issued the refund yet. Furthermore, they tell me is going to take up to 30 days to get my refund in the mail despite the fact they charged my credit card. I asked to refund it back to my credit card and they said they couldn't. Why charge in the first place? All the other dental practices don't charge to make an appointment as I called several after this incident. Be aware of their refund policy. read more

If I could rate this lower I would. To say that this office is unorganized is the nicest thing I can offer. After scheduling 3 visits, having to drive 25 minutes each way, I arrived at my appointments 15 minutes early and confirmed prior. I arrive and nobody knows what they are doing. The doctor was too busy and I was an inconvenience that could not be seen. Each time there was not a single person in this office that had a clue of what the job at hand was. to add to the mess I was told I had a balance of 45 dollars for the treatment that day. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. I quit going here due to incompetent dentists. Unfortunately I returned to have them service a crown they did that was the ultimate reason I stopped seeing Dr. Chan. It had fallen out after only 2 years and had to be "fixed" multiple times after the initial setting. They told me that they would take a look to see if it would be guaranteed when I got there. I made it very clear, multiple times, that if there were going to be a charge associated with re-cementing the crown that I would like to know so I could just go to my current dentist. When I arrived they went to take X-rays which made me nervous so I had the assistant clarify with the front desk that they would not be charging for the X-rays. I was told they would cover them. Fast forward to leaving and I was told I would be charged an exam fee, X-ray fee and for the re-cementing of the crown. Understandably I was upset about this and questioned it. I was then told that they would cover the X-ray fee as promised...IF insurance didn't cover it! They were going to (and now have) bill my insurance for a service they said they would cover and not even tell me. VERY deceitful and I will never be back. Not to mention the massively arrogant dentists and the beyond-rude office manager who incredibly snottily and with a fake voice said "Have a nice day!" when I told her to just send me a bill. I am filing this complaint because I have been issued a device to help me with a serious medical condition and have now been abandoned by my care provider. I purchased a dental appliance from Dr. Hamersky to aid my sleep apnea condition. I was sold this device as I was told it would be a great fit for a person my age and having the ability to adapt easily. I have had three separate issues with the device in the year and a half that I've been using it. The first issue occurred when the bracket completely separated from the mouthpiece and was handled accordingly under the warranty. The second issue was a piece of the mouthpiece broke off and when I took the device in, the Dr. attempted to make repairs in house. Also, at the time of this visit I was told over the phone there was not a cost as it was still under warranty. When I arrived to drop the dental appliance off, I was then asked to pay my co-pay and an additional $75 "office visit fee". I agreed to paying the co-pay as that is what my office visits cost through my insurance but when I questioned this additional "office visit fee" the receptionists argued but could not clarify what I was being charged for. I understand I am responsible for co-pays and have absolutely no problem paying them, but I am not ok with being overcharged additional money with no explanation as to what it's for. This literally consisted of me walking in, shaking the Dr.'s hand while handing off my appliance and then walking out. I could understand paying for actually having an appointment and actually having work done during these visits but I literally just dropped the appliance off to be sent off by this office. As I stated before, I understand having to pay co-pays and have never refused to pay them under any circumstance. After the office receptionists could not clarify this charge the Dr. came in and told me to go ahead and go, they would take care of it. One week after the in-house repair was made, the same exact piece had broken off. At this point I called in to see if I could have the appliance sent in to the manufacturer due to being under warranty still and considering the in-house repair did not work. I was then told I would be required to pay my co-pay and a $75 "office visit fee" when I brought the appliance in to be sent off to the manufacturer under warranty. I again questioned this additional office visit fee and was then told Dr. Hamersky would no longer see me for any further care over the phone. I was completely abandoned without reasonable notice or given an opportunity to find another care provider. After being dropped by Dr. Hamersky, I contacted the manufacturer, SomnoMed, to possibly send the device directly to them for repairs and was told it only accepted repair requests with Dr. referrals. This is extremely frustrating as part of what Dr. Hamersky sold me on for this sleep appliance was the three year warranty and he now refuses to assist me and honor the warranty he promised. I have emailed this office requesting a refund so that I may be able move on and find care elsewhere. Not only was I denied the refund but only after Dr. Hamersky decided to no longer help me with this sleep appliance, I was then told that this particular device may not be a good choice of care. It's upsetting that only after Dr. Hamersky decided to no longer help me, that I'm now being told this sleep appliance may not be a good fit for me. I sat down with Dr. Hamersky to discuss this sleep aid product and was told the exact opposite, even after he asked everything he needed to know to recommend the sleep appliance. I feel I'm being denied care from the Dr. who sold me the device in retaliation for not paying a $75 fee over and above my co-pay. I believe I was sold a defective device as it has broken three times in the year and half that I've had it and considering I'm only half way through my three year warranty. read more

I just returned from Lone Tree Modern Dental and my experience was horrible beyond words. They completely failed at their job's at every opportunity. I first went in for an examination on Friday 9/30, the warning signs were clear from the beginning. The fruit flies in the waiting room definitely gave me a bad vibe and it didn't get much better from there. The woman struggled to work the X-ray machine and I'm fairly certain it was her first day on the job which was not very reassuring since I had already told them about my anxiety and nervousness due to my past experienceS. After waiting around forever the dentist finally came in and looked in my mouth for a quick second and she started telling me that I needed a root canal. After a quick discussion with her I explained that I was not interested in the root canal, I just wanted the tooth extracted along with my wisdom teeth that caused the problem in the first place. She agreed that the tooth was probably too far gone and that I would just be wasting my money on a root canal and that my idea was best and we scheduled to do the extraction on that tooth as well as my wisdom teeth for the next day Saturday 10/01. Although I was happy they could get me in the next day, it just continued to get much worse after this point. Keep in mind I was very open with them about my anxiety surrounding the dentist and the pain was adding to my anxiety issues but I was ultimately determined to get the tooth removed. Trying to get the appointment set was an issue because the woman in the office wanted to change the time for the appointment from 9:30 to 10:00 and then claimed I was not insured. After sorting that issue out and getting a time fixed for the next day I waited all evening for the instructions they promised to send but never did. The next morning they called to change the time again back to 9:30, then once I arrived everyone was very cold and unfriendly. After paying my bill they take me to the back, with very poor bedside manner they proceed to put in the IV for sedation. I informed them I was really bad with needles and that I am prone to passing out whenever I get my blood drawn or anything similar. As predicted I fainted, once I became conscience there were several staff members standing over me and started asking me what my problem was! The tone they used was completely rude and unprofessional and they continued berating me with questions like "what was my issue" "why are you here if you don't want to be" I could not believe these questions, like does anyone want to be at the dentist?! One woman said we don't have to do this today we can do it another time, I said I just want my f***ing tooth out! Thats when the oral surgeon, who never came to speak with me prior or never even introduced himself, just shut everything down and said we are done, we are not doing this today. I was so confused and still waking up from blacking out. This rude nurse who was in my face telling me we don't have to do it then she started drilling me about why I wasn't medicated before coming in. She starts asking me why I didn't have Valium and who was my dentist. How am I supposed to know they could have given me Valium and why they didn't! So needless to say I won't be back, no bedside manner what so ever and they waisted so much of my time. read more

I was a little nervous going in because I moved here from Pennsylvania and have been going to the same dentist the majority of my life. Sherry did my cleaning and did a great job. One of my fillings popped out while I was there and she was able to have Dr Tran fix it that same appointment. Dr Tran and his assistant Sean did an amazing job making name feel comfortable during the filling and did a great job. Also the front staff was very inviting and kind. My family and I were new to this Dentist office, and really had a great experience with our first appointments.... My daughter, who is a first grader , had a second appointment to manage some cavities found on her first visit. The procedure did not go well as she has a large amount of anxiety... And began screaming and crying... She was very scared. The Dentist told her during the filling process that she was being "unreasonable" and then following, the dental hygienist... Possibly a student, proceeded to belittle her and make her feel embarrassed for panicking during the procedure. I felt that this particular employee was very unprofessional, childish, and condescending to my 7 year old, and completely humiliated her for panicking during her fillings. In confronting her with her inappropriateness, she was rude to me and my daughter and had complete lack of compassion. I am extremely disappointed in the end result from this Dentist ... All the bells and whistles only go so far in a dentist office if the professionalism is not there to back up the care of their patients.
