We were extremely disappointed with our recent dinner at Hamburg Brewing Company. We had a party of eight, and from start to finish, the service was very poor. When our entrées arrived, only four of the eight meals were brought to the table. We had to remind our server that the remaining meals were missing. About 10 minutes later, only three more meals arrived, leaving one person still without dinner. Once again, we had to ask for the final meal to be brought out. No one at the table should have to eat at different times because of such poor coordination. The food itself was also underwhelming. The steak fajitas were especially disappointing--they consisted of a few somewhat tough pieces of steak with no peppers or onions, which are basic ingredients for fajitas. The steak hoagie was similarly sparse, containing mostly shaved steak with very few vegetables. To make matters worse, the fries served with the meals were cold. Our appetizer was also mishandled. The charcuterie board arrived with salami, cream cheese, and cheese, but no bread or crackers. We had to ask for those to be brought out. We also had to request small plates because none were provided. Finally, throughout the meal, dirty dishes--including our appetizer plates--were never cleared from the table, leaving us surrounded by stacks of dishes until we were finished. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Between the disorganized service, multiple forgotten items, cold food, and lack of attention to basic hospitality, we expected much better. We met some friends here for brunch on Sunday. We were hoping to get a spot outside on the patio because we love the patio here, but sadly every table in the shade was taken, and we couldn't have our baby out in direct sunlight. We sat inside instead and there was plenty of seating. It's a huge building, and you order everything at the bar. There were 2 bars open as the main line was very long at times. I got the croissant French toast. It was pretty good, but wasn't entirely filling. It said there was vanilla custard, but it must've been baked into the bread itself, as I was expecting it more as a topping. It took quite a while to get our food, but that was okay. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, but sadly they ran out so they comped his meal and gave him another choice instead. It was really nice that they did that. Came here for lunch on Saturday and had a great experience! It was my first time here, and I was really impressed with everything. The large venue has a variety of both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside at a large metal table that had a built in lazy Susan. It was in the shade with a great view of the pond. There were also tables closer to the pond and picnic tables as well. I ordered a flight of hard ciders and a lobster roll with fries. The flight was poured inside and they gave me a number to take outside with me. My brother in law ordered a charcuterie board which came out basically as soon as we sat down. My food order came out just a few minutes later. The bathrooms were also clean and every employee we interacted with was friendly and professional. I'd love to come back here for lunch again sometime. read more

Back Friday was a super busy night for them. No seats in the old taproom, but there was some in the new one. I do wish it wasn't seat yourself though. It would be easier that way to grab a table. Charcuterie Board 10/10 Good assortment of meats and cheese. They seem to change up the combinations every so often. Meats: prosciutto, mortadella. Cheeses: cheddar, & idk what the other 2 were. Bread: Naan. Spreads: -The white cheese-type spread was fantastic. We asked what it was but they didn't know- so if anyone finds out, I'd love to know what it was!! -The other "spread" was artichokes with herbs in oil, that was also really really good! Hot honey deluxe 9/10 Really good. The spice level was nonexistent/mild. I definitely think the "hot" honey should have been just a hair spicier. But I loved the sweet honey with the pepperoni flavor. The basil was a nice touch of freshness every couple bites. Fig Jam & Prosciutto 10/10 Really good combination of ingredients and flavors. This is on my brewery adventure list thanks to the WNY Craft Brew Tour Cards from Habitat for Humanity. I loved it and will definitely be back. The atmosphere and property are beautiful. Seating feels spacious. There is plenty of clear signage so you know where to go and what to do - for example, there is a sign that all orders must be done at the bar, and the menu is posted on the wall right next to the bar. Service is outstanding, very friendly and patient. The menu has some go-to standbys plus creative interesting foods. I got the Cuban Sandwich and would give it a solid four stars - it could use more sauce/pizzazz but the meats were good quality and overall flavor was good. Fries were tasty and disappeared quickly. For beer I got a Belgian Ale; the flavor is subtle and pleasant. I appreciate that they offer both 12-oz and 16-oz sizes. Beer flights are available for $10. I felt like the food took a long time to come out; that's the only potential complaint from me. Overall this is a win and I look forward to returning. read more

This is a large venue that has two taprooms. One was mostly empty when we entered but it was a Monday evening so not really surprised. The older side had more tables and they were hosting DJ trivia night, which was enjoyable. To order your food and drinks, you go up to the bar and they give you a number and bring your food out to you. The soft drinks offer free refills and there is a self-serve water station as well as the full-service bar. The food is delicious. My husband and daughter shared a pizza and my son had chicken wings. I had the Wilson burger, which was very tasty. Just like a good, juicy bar burger should be. Visited for the first time last Sunday for brunch. The hours look fairly limited for brunch, but make the trip if you can! You order at the bar counter for food and drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed their beer including the sour and hazy IPA. They also make absolutely delicious hard ciders too, highly recommend blueberry peach or the strawberry. For food we had the waffle flight, which was very tasty just a little small for the price. Now the real reason you need to make a trip was the breakfast pizza! We enjoyed it with bacon, but they had sausage as an option too. We shared a large, but they have a personal size option. No exaggeration this was epic. Wonderfully cooked, great crust and ingredients including just enough sauce to give it a tiny kick. Would eat this every morning if we could! This week's adventure bought us to Hamburg brewing. We placed our food and drink requests with the incredibly helpful bar team and made our way through the cozy and well decorated bar area to the patio to wait (the patio is definitely one of the better ones we've visited). We placed an order for the street corn dip which was thick and flavorful, the chips were huge and quite fresh. Kids chicken tenders for the little yelper (she gave it 2up). Charcuterie board- we would have loved a little candied or fresh fruit but a good choice of cheeses and meat. I did my usual thing and ordered the wings general tso style. Slight spice , sticky and flavorful,however the wings weren't very crispy. I opted for the pomegranate hard cider, which was a cold and refreshing treat for a rare sunny May Day. Drinks are always good with lots of options!!! Food is delicious and has a wide variety. Service is easy to order at the bar inside then they give you a number to take back to your seat. Then they bring it out to you. Which is very nice but seating is limited outside. The pond is beautiful and they have cool fish and turtles to look at. I've sat on this review for a month now trying to figure out if I want to review it. It's been reviewed as awesome with great VIEWS by others, but that's not what I want to hear when it comes to food. We came here for a birthday celebration, and we were not prepared to find out that there is no table service, aka waiter/waitress. Strike one. We went to get seated by the hostess and she was uncertain where to sit us outside. We saw a table and recommended it and she said, OK. But the seating was not for 4, only 2. As we were whisking two other chairs from a table, we noticed that a whole table on the same terrace was available, so we dove. I have never felt like I had to do that at a restaurant! Strike two. Once settled into the table that WE found was right, there was no table service. What's going on? Ohhhh, so apparently you need to go inside to the super small bar area and place your drink and food orders. Whhaaaattt?! So we gave our orders, were given the drinks, and then a number to take back to our table. One HOUR after ordering, no food: I went inside to the bar and asked of our status and they just wait they were "slammed." They gave us 4 free drink tickets to appease us. They asked our dinner table number and 10 minutes later, the food arrived. The presentation was good, but the lobster was lacking and the steak wasn't cooked enough. Not favorable. So the manager came over to see how everything was if he could do anything, and we asked him to cash in our drink tickets and he said, "Oh, you have to go the bar for those." What kind of service is that?! You already delayed our food for an hour and can't even get us the drink tickets? Strike three. This is a terrible business model that they are running. Might be scenic but the food is mediocre and how can you have people available to serve you your food but not wait upon through the whole experience?! Never going back. read more

I've been wanting to come to Hamburg Brewing for some time. Being a fan of their beer, but living across the country was a slight hurdle. We visit the area often, but have never ventured down until this past visit. We happened to show up during their 10th Anniversary celebration. I'd have to say, we didn't get the "normal" experience and I was a little disappointed about that. But we did have a good time. The brewery is amazing. The grounds are crazy beautiful for a brewery. I plan on returning during our next visit to get the regular experience. I do have to say, they know how to throw an anniversary party. Beer was flowing. Excellent atmosphere and yummy avocado toast for brunch. We sat on the patio on Sunday and enjoyed brunch while listening to live music. I was meeting someone halfway - normally I wouldn't travel this far but if I'm ever in Hamburg again I'll definitely stop by for the patio experience for sure. Beware - the aioli on the avocado toast is spiced - if I were to get this again I'd ask for it without the aioli. I can tell only speak to the beer, as we didnt eat there, but the food looked really good coming out and Id be interested in returning to try the Detroit style pizza. It was a nice day outside so it was pretty quiet in the tasting room, but really busy outside. The beer was solid and there was plenty of variety from sours to IPAs to a couple dark beers. Went here last week Monday for the first time and we really enjoyed our evening! Started off with the Baked Pretzel Sticks including the beer cheese. Not too salty and just-right softness. For our main dishes had the Shrimp Tacos, Beef on Weck, and James' Bruschetta Chicken Sandwich. All the food was great. To round everything out also had a few of the Big Lou IPAs. Big fan of this place. This place is a staple for grabbing drinks and food during a sunny afternoon or evening. The summer months are the best because they have live music and a BEAUTIFUL outdoor space. There's a nice patio with tables and picnic tables in the grassy area with starry string lights above between the trees. There's not a bad spot to sit, and you have a great view of the pond from anywhere. It does get pretty busy, so they have an outdoor tent area that has overflow seating with another outdoor bar. Last Saturday night I went with a few friends for food and drink. I had the Louie IPA (very good) and the prosciutto and goat cheese sandwich (also DELISH). I have tried to make this sandwich at home and have succeeded, but it always taste better when it's made for you. Beautiful atmosphere and great drinks. 10/10 recommend read more

A great place to visit anytime of year. It is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Inside has a warm fire burning in its large fireplace. We love the large square tables that sit 8 adults comfortably . There is a paved parking lot that does fill up at times. There's a nice selection of standard and seasonal beers along with a selection of wine by the glass or bottle. There's a menu of sandwiches , salads shareables and desserts. There is a kids menu too. New bathrooms are located at the rear of the bar room too. The wall of glass doors allow to look out at the pond and trees. Illuminated by the soft lights and holiday train. read more

I had the honor of checking out Hamburg Brewing's first brunch offering. I was lucky because the weather was perfect and an unlikely surprise for early November in Buffalo. It was a glorious day to sit out and enjoy the gorgeous patio there. They had a tight menu which still covered a little bit of everything. I tried the brunchuterie. French toast crostini, cheese, breakfast sausage and breakfast spreads. A very clever play on charcuterie and pretty good. The plate was made mostly of French toast not a ton of cheese and meat. They do offer gluten free bread, which is great. However they are not able to make many other substitutions or even eliminate things from a menu item. I am not complaining but it's important to note for people who are picky or have dietary restrictions. For example the it wasn't possible to omit the egg from the smashed avocado toast or use GF bread for brunchuterie. Brunch is served like the rest of their food. You go up to the bar and order. Your food is brought out to you when it's ready. In addition to their standard beer and wine they also were serving mimosas and bloody Mary's. A great new offering from a wonderful local venue. We come here a lot I love the vibe, the food, and they've started having events more frequently as well. It's a big place with lots of parking available and the prices are pretty good too. I especially like to sit by the lake with a beer and have dinner it's very nice. You order everything at the bar and take a table number and staff finds you from there. You eat, clean up your mess and be off with your day no table service required. Just my style! Food and beers are good and not too expensive and they have an extensive menu to try as well. They do weddings here in their big tent thing and we visited during a dog adoption event which was super fun. We'll be back for sure one of our favorites! read more

How have I not reviewed Hamburg Brewing yet??! This is one of my favorite breweries to go to. When I get the chance to venture out this way, I always make sure to stop because they have some of my absolutely favorite sours here. The sour/fruited beer selection is truly unmatched. Their good is just as delicious! I finally got the try their brunch this past weekend and was definitely not disappointed. We got the Brunchuterie board, smashed avocado toast, and the blueberry goat. Everything was DELICIOUS and looked sooo appetizing (making for some jealous friends who couldn't come with ). The bloody Mary was garnished with a pizza roll which I found so cool. They were some of the best bloodies I've had in a long time too. The bartenders were so sweet and accommodating for our multiple requests because we kept forgetting things. We will certainly be back for brunch! read more

Came here on a weekday night last year in early September with another couple. There's a decent sized parking lot though I can see it filling up very quickly on weekends, especially if the weather is nice. We got some beers from the bar and headed outside. It was a Wednesday or Thursday afternoon around 4:30 so it wasn't overly crowded - took about 10-15min before one of the tables we stalked opened up. But I did have to walk up to it as people were gathering their belongings to leave and claim it since there were other stalkers as well which is always a little awkward. I feel like for such a large place they should have someone take care of the outdoor seating situation so people aren't stalking and fighting over tables. It can be quite stressful and damper an otherwise enjoyable experience. Their food menu was limited (due to covid) but adequate and tasty. I definitely recommend checking it out for those who haven't been yet! read more

The ambiance here is wonderful. You can sit outside by the pond or at a picnic table. Or you can sit at one of the tables by the fireplace, or in the new dining room with comfortable cushioned chairs. The food is very good, and we always get the chicken wing dip as an appetizer. It is SO nice here! I've only ever been one other time and that was when my husband was getting a gift card for his folks. The inside is beautiful with a giant fireplace and wood paneling. The bar's pretty impressive, too. I came here today with my parents, husband, and inlaws for a nice relaxing summer drink. Because we had to order food, we got two orders of tortilla chips, one for me with salsa and one with chicken wing dip. Unfortunately, something was lost in translation and we received guacamole instead of the dip. Ah well, my dad said, I'd rather die than complain. Okay, maybe he didn't say that exactly, but he still didn't tell anyone and therefore I really can't gripe. The view is lovely, just lovely. The pond and fountain are pretty neat and the grounds are magnificent. We all really enjoyed how lovely it is here. It was crowded, as it usually is, so we ate and drank at a picnic table. This was uncomfortable for me with my back problems, but no one else seemed to mind. The food was brought out to us, but the drinks we gathered ourselves. Because I can't have beer (stupid gluten allergy!), I opted for a presecco. I was planning on getting a hard cider instead, but unfortunately it was the dry kind and I like my drinks disgustingly sweet. The prosecco was good, but for $9, you didn't get a lot. The chips were ample, however. I highly recommend this restaurant and brewery. I suggest it for groups, as I came with one and we were all satisfied! We stopped by Hamburg Brewing Company with my grandma and parents for Mother's Day this year after a morning of festivities. It was such a lovely atmosphere. My grandma kept thinking it was a county club just by the feel of it. The land used to be owned by the family of Sorrento's cheese company. It's a few acres of land but that accesible to the public is about 1. They have a pond behind their main building that's surrounded by picnic benches, and tables covered with umbrellas to keep you out of the sun. They serve some food but it's more of a brewery than somewhere for lunch. On tap they have a huge selection but they also serve mixed drinks. The bartender helped me by recommending some that are her favorites or the brewery's best selling. The consistency in perfect-not too thin and not too thick-almost silky! Weird way to describe it but best I could think of! Just go out and try it!
