The treatment is working so I highly recommend TMS but this place is unprofessional & mostly incompetent. What is good? Jesse. He is the best provider out there. He is kind, compassionate, professional & skilled with the machine. He makes it a joy to come for treatment. My 1st visit, I was told my copay is $15 after the guy consulted my insurance company while I waited. Bridget then said my copay was $25 but they would waive $10 of it, I would only pay $15. Today, the owner was talking to me & telling me how they were "compensating me" $10 each visit for the problems I have had, so I called my insurance, my copay is & always was $15. The are not compensating me in any way. One day, the machine was triggering my jaw to rattle so badly I was afraid I would break a tooth. Mackenzie, the new hire, told me "get a mouth guard". Bridget said it should not be happening & worked to fix it. It happens when the machine fires on the nerve. I have video of it & that day, I just had to open my mouth wide every time the machine fired so I didn't crack any teeth. It was not just a one time occurance. It happens frequently except with Jesse. Why is it they are all following the same directions on the machine & Jesse gets it right every time and the others can't? Mackenzie told me she got the job because a family member (she clearly stated which family member but I won't further violate that privacy here) received treatment there. That is very CLEARLY a HIPAA violation. Her family deserves the privacy everyone deserves under the law. I was shocked & pointed it out to her, and she said "ohhhkkkaaay". I also told Bridget & the owner. Seriously?! This is a firable offense in some medical facilities. Everything I read about TMS people say they have the same tech throughout the experience. I have a new tech each day of the week. They have varying social & professional & medical skills. The owners husband/co-owner does the books there but he also deals with patients. He is very nice & very polite & says yes ma'am. I have had him for a few sessions now and he is kind and gentle and a pleasure to chat with. In reading about what to expect when getting TMS, it says they will take your blood pressure & weight. I've never been weighed & their blood pressure cuff was broken. They tried 2 days but the Velcro didn't work. The staff said it had been broken for a while. I brought my own from home to test me. They now finally have one that works & guess what, a patient bought it for them with her own money. It's just another example in what makes this feel a less than reputable medical treatment facility. I ask myself is why is there no petty cash? Why are the employees so hesitant to ask the owner for a new blood pressure cuff? They have one wipe off marker right now in the office. They require you to do an evaluation every day using said marker. Why is no one going to Office Depot for more markers? Scheduling has also been an issue. They booked me twice one day. They failed to make scheduling changes we talked about, in the computer, making me to show up twice at the "wrong" time causing me embarrassment & to even miss a session. I was told by my counselor was I would be meeting with her or the doctor weekly. I met the doctor on a Saturday night, Dec. 15th at the office for the assessment & have never seen him again. I googled & his main office is not even in this city, he primarily sees clients in Columbia MO. I don't believe I am getting the best treatment. I think they are cutting corners. I am grateful to be getting better but wish it was being done more ethically & professionally. Kim, the owner, see me as a complainer. These are not personal opinions, they are facts. We have found him to be very caring, a good listener, he knows the right questions to ask pertaining to our visit, and gives us a very high quality of care because he is so knowledgeable. We also appreciate all of his staff who are also very dedicated to excellent patient care. We appreciate that our wait times are good, getting in to see him within a few minutes of our arrival. Another thing we really like about Dr. Grus, that being established patients, we can usually get a same-day or next day appointment, instead of having to go to an urgent care. I believe he does this as a service for his patients, and I think all doctors should do this. We have a good experience from start to finish because there is plenty of parking, check in is speedy, a lab is available on site, and checkout is in his office. The facility is also very clean and welcoming. We highly recommend Dr. Grus if you are looking for a new doctor and a great all around patient experience. We give him 5 Stars!

I was sold after my first appointment. If you live in the St. Peters/O'Fallon area, this is your guy. If you live downtown, this is still your guy. I swear he's worth the drive. I've never had a doctor pay more attention to what I'm telling him and genuinely care about what it is that I'm saying... and that's priceless. He's also a pretty funny guy who tries to be "hip" to what's going on in the world and strikes up the funniest conversations! Dr. McIntosh is thorough and knowledgeable, and he'll get you back up and running in no time. I've seen him for typical stuff such as allergies and colds, and he makes great recommendations and always gives me tips that help me feel ten times better. I even had to call the after-hours line once with a bad sinus infection (sure he appreciated that one) and he was still as caring and attentive even though I was bugging him late at night. What puts him above all others is how he follows up and doesn't give up until you've fixed whatever the problem is. For myself, the allergy queen, he prescribed a medicine and a nose spray and had me check in with him 7 days later via the phone, and we spoke that often until he had me on a plan that was working wonders. Looks like I'll be driving that 45 minutes next time I need him!

Dr. McIntosh has been my primary care doctor for over a decade. He is very personable and has an excellent bedside manner. He has seen me through quite a few health issues and always pops through when I've been admitted to the hospital. We don't have all the answers for my health problems but I can't say he doesn't LISTEN to every single one of them. He orders tests and refers me to specialists when needed. I've never felt misunderstood or dismissed which is not something I can say for many many specialists I've seen. To be fair, Auto Immune diseases are notoriously difficult to diagnose but I can confidently say Dr. McIntosh is doing everything he can to help me get answers. I would send anyone I know to see him without reservation. *Read up on Celiac Disease, doc! The amount of misinformation from medical professionals on this is criminal and a huge disservice to those who have it. Effects from celiac damage can spill over into almost every other part of your body. Celiac is for life and a negative blood test/scope (after a positive one) means you're doing well GF. it does NOT mean Celiac went away and you can eat what you wish! I am probably the exception to his patients in being relatively proactive when it comes to my healthcare and he is usually willing to place orders for whatever bloodwork and screening tests that I request when I see him to stay on top of my health. I had to push to get a CAC scan in 2019 which revealed much more coronary artery calcium than either of us would have guessed based on my other risk factors. However the medical establishment (AHA) only recognized the value of it as a tool for coronary vascular disease risk assessment within a year of my requesting the test so I certainly don't blame him for not recommending it sooner.

The best decision I made was to go to Ozzie Smith for my knee issues. The cortisone injections…read morewere no longer working and I could no longer walk safely without the aid of canes or a walker. After getting PRP and stem cells, I was able to ride at least 2 miles on a recumbent bike in 10 minutes and 87% of my knee function was restored. I no longer walk with the aid of a cane or walker and can stand upright without knee pain or fear of falling. All of this progress is completely due to the staff at the Ozzie Smith IMAC Center. If it weren't for them, I would most likely be in a wheelchair by now.
