I was ready to write Shawn off after he had my solar shade for almost 6 weeks and still no call telling me it was repaired at. He finally called, apologize for the long delay ( was sent wrong parts) and was able to come out to install it within 2 days. He was late but called ahead of time to say he would be a late. The installation had a few hiccups, but Shawn was professional, repaired both sides of the large shade and with better quality mechanism that should last longer. He charged me what he said he would and I felt he really took pride in his work and I would hire him again for blind repair. Strange situation... Took our pleated shade to him at the end of March to repair broken string. He claimed it would take several weeks because he was very busy. Told him no worries, we'd be out of town until 4/20 and would pick it up on 4/21. He called while we were away and said the shade was ready. Reminded him we were out of town. Texted him the evening of 4/20 to confirm pick up the next morning and he said it wouldn't be ready until later that day and he was annoyed that we texted him after hours. He confirmed that the shade would be on the porch and when we got there it wasn't! Called him and he appeared out of nowhere in his car coming from elsewhere, went upstairs to the place we dropped it off initially and came out with it. No clue what this guy's problem is...he can't keep his stories straight. We'll go elsewhere next time. P.S. He just texted to thank us for the business and asked for us to pay him. At 3:00 today we handed him the cash and he gave us the shade!! read more

Though he is very nice, the experience was bad, as the communication was almost non-existent, the price was very high ($175 repair), the room-blackout, honeycomb shade came back over two inches short so it would no longer close all the way, and after one week, the repair no longer worked (shade wouldn't raise again, which was the original problem). Decided to then just order brand new, identical honeycomb shade for $306.79 (on sale) instead of going back to Willy's for more challenge. Trying Willy's first meant I just paid $481.79 for a working shade rather than the $306.79 sale price for a brand new blind. read more

He said he could but there would be a $45 house call charge plus the cost of his time to fix the blind. Sean came out to the house and after a quick look said he could not fix the blind. My wife and I read the reviews on Yelp for Willies Blind Repair and from what we read we called him up to re-string a top down bottom up cellular blind. Well as you can see from my rating, nothing but issues. We were told one date, and then another, and one price and then another. The "owner" gave one excuse after another, and then told us it was finally done and because of the delay he would give us 20.00 off the 125.00 bill. Nice gesture and that would have made things ok for the confusion. My wife and I get to his house only for her to be met at the door by his elderly father, no shirt, somewhat overweight (you get the picture) and a piss poor attitude. He told my wife what the bill was and well it didn't have the 20.00 discount that we were told. He told my wife, "pay the bill or you wont see your blind". We called the son (owner) and yet another excuse. The 20.00 isn't the issue, it was the rude behavior of the father, son (owner) and the misleading phone calls. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS GUY, ALL YOU WILL SEE IS EXCUSES. read more

Placed a call to Willy's Blind & Shade Repair....Shawn came out on a Sunday to fix it. So appreciate him coming out on a weekend! Shawn is an old school guy that takes the time to assess your situation and develop an amazing plan. No one could touch the level of intelligence, craftsmanship or patience that Shawn exhibited. Shawn's willingness to answer questions make changes sometimes on the fly with no hesitation and always a GREAT ATTITUDE. The professionalism and courtesy he provided was outstanding.
