Was looking for a place still open and not booked up and fortunately found this place. During this Covid period safety is very important and this place did a good job of following safe guidelines. I was a walk in so I signed in and took one of the chairs that were spaced out around the area till my turn came. Once I was called I took the barber chair that had just been cleaned and explained what I wanted. My barber did a very good job of giving me the haircut I wanted and I may make the move to this place permanent. Very happy with how this place operates. read more

I heard good things about this place so I decided to give it a try, for my son. I showed the lady named Jazmín what haircut I wanted for my son. As I tried to explain what I wanted she kept correcting me and pretty much argued with me. Should of left right there and then, but I decided to give her a chance, a chance was a big mistake. In the end I mentioned to her that it was a regular haircut w/ a fade, she continued to argue with me. The picture shown below is the back of the haircut , no taiL/ v shape,though I told her that's what I wanted,,, she kept telling me "just let me finish the cut" every time I mentioned something to her. Brought my son here for the first time. Was able to get a same day appointment within 2 hours of calling. The guy who cut his hair (Juan, I think) did a great job. My son was really happy with his new cut. I don't know about the bad reviews on here because we were greeted right away and didn't have to wait at all. Our family loves this barber shop. It's fairly new from what I know & the style & ambience of the place is great. The fact that everyone in here is young & knows what's up with style is helpful & gives it a fresh feel. Prices aren't too bad, guess it depends on your style. There is ample parking which is shared with the Y that's gated. We have been here a few times but today Scott was my husbands barber & he was incredibly fast & super efficient at his job. There is this one barber there that doesn't respect you at all. They only care about the money, he's rude and ungrateful. Honestly wouldn't recommend coming back to him. He'll use you just for your money. He doesn't take in consideration your time or anything. He just cares about getting money and stealing it from you. Don't recommend coming here at all. The customer service is horrible. They like to talk shit under their breaths and act like they are better than everyone else. No one deserves to be disrespected the way this guy disrespected me. Where do I start? Firstly I've heard many things about this barbershop some good some bad. I've been here when they first started and I got a nice cut that I liked. I didn't go for a while but I noticed they had new barbers. I didn't think nothing of it and wanted to give them a try. I booked an appointment with Harrison. He had a 20$ deposit and I sent him 35$ for the deposit and the rest of the haircut. I sent the money days before so I thought everything was going to be good but I was wrong. I had an appointment at 12 and i was going to show up on time but I messaged and called him 15 min before hand to ask if there was any open seats for my girlfriend to sit down because she wanted to come and I get left on seen. I understand if there busy with someone else but 15 minutes before my appointment I would atleast expect a reply back but I didn't mind. I ended up telling my girlfriend to stay because I wasn't sure and I show up. I get there and stay in the car to make sure I have all my things before I go in. I walk in at 12:05 and he's already started midway through someone's fade. I'm kinda confused because I have an appointment right now so I go up to him and ask him if I'm next because I made an appointment and he says that I already lost my appointment! I was about 5 minutes late and he already had someone else in his chair. I understand that time is money but people got shit to do aswell. I payed my share for my appointment and he couldn't even give me atleast 10 minutes to get to the seat. At this point I'm about to leave but he suggested I go to the other barber. I needed a haircut badly so I decided to go with him. I asked him for a low burst fade but I wanted a scissor trim barely the tips and I didn't want too much of my curly hair cut off the top. I tell him many times that I don't want to much cut of the curls but he tells me I'm just cutting the sides. He ended up buzzing off my curls and left me all uneven. I knew that he knew I wasn't going to like it because he didn't even want to turn my chair around to see it in the big mirror. I liked the fade but he definitely didn't know how to cut curly hair at all but he ATLEAST cut my hair so I payed him but the haircut was definitely not worth 40$. I was asking him about my situation with Harrison because I wanted my money back for him not even LOOKING AT MY HAIR and he was no help not even wanting to help me out. So I go up to Harrison and ask him if I could get my money back but since the "deposit" is 20$ I respect the business and I only ask for my 15$ back. All in all I leave paying 60$ out of my pocket and thinking this man really scammed me 20$ for NOT EVEN LOOKING AT MY HAIR. From this whole experience I wish I could rate it 0 stars. I honestly think that barbering is about caring for your clients, giving them what they desire, and all around giving a good barber experience. Some barbers are just money hungry and they don't stick to there barber principles. I honestly wish I could say I enjoyed the experience but my hair is still recovering from how much it was cut and I will never go back. Just a heads up coming here if you don't have a good relationship with your barber they will probably give you a cut they think looks good on you. read more

A real good ol' fashioned Mom & Son style shop with a great crew of barbers. Aside from the frustration of trying to find parking, the barbers here would be worth having to park a mile away! I myself frequent the location about twice a month for grooming and for a shave. Lexo, the head barber, wields a straight razor like few others! A forgotten art and skill most newbie hair stylists seem to ignore. As far as the interior goes, you can't go wrong with two mounted flat screens with satellite for entertainment! I recently took my young nephew here for the first time. He usually doesn't get haircuts as often as he should so he isn't so used to sitting still on a barber chair. Fortunately, the barber who cut my nephew's hair had the best patience with him and gave him a great experience. He would try having conversations with him so he can be somewhat distracted and could sit still. My nephew felt comfortable and his haircut turned out great. These guys really know what they're doing and have great skills. You can tell they take pride in their craft. I'm a mom to 4 boys ages 1-11 and today all 4 left with perfect haircuts. Today came in at about noon, was greeted by Lex and asked about availability for 4 hair cuts. Knowing it was a long shot to get a same day I was surprised he could accommodate us at 4:30. Oscar cut my 11 year olds hair and did an amazing job. My boys have that fine soft hair and many times get left with little stragglers that stylist just can't get. But Oscar got every single hair and blended his hair perfectly from a shaven neck to a comb over with a defined part. I was very impressed that his fade wasn't too high. This honestly was the first time I didn't have to look over the persons shoulder to make sure my sons hair wasn't a disappointment. Lex cut my 8, 2, & 1 year olds. First up was my 8 year old. He previously hair cut was a disaster so Lex did a great job correcting and properly blending his hair. A's hair is light brown with blond around his forehead and very easily people will either completely miss or over shave it leaving him with an odd hair line. But again these guys are talented Barbers. True artist. My 2 &1 year old both fell asleep during their cuts. And let me just say their hair is PERFECT! I've gone many places payed 7-30 per haircut and have never been happy. I payed 20 per child + 20%gratuity. & it was worth every penny. Small mom and pop business. Great atmosphere and very friendly. This place has so much potential of being a good barber shop! Specially in the city of Wilmington where you have mostly hole in the wall barbershops, but this shop has taken their 5 star yelp reviews to another level and all have egos even the one female that works here. No friendly welcome, no eye contact when asking questions (she was on her phone in her chair scrolling on IG) no prices displayed anywhere but a hair cut is around $20 and a beard trim could go from $4 to $10 depending on each barber - I'm guessing each one has their own set prices which is not professional IF YOU going for the the first time just take a $50 cuz you never know what the price might be at the end of your cut BRING CHANGE the guy couldn't brake my big bill so they ended up with a solid bill as a tip and that's not how tips work (he though I was going to tip $10 lol) I also noticed that if a barber has an appointment they won't make you feel like your worth their time they sit on their chair on their phones talking about getting breakfast but people are waiting for haircuts....they lack on customer service on this part. I noticed this on my first visit and thought it was a bit odd and rude from a customers point of view! The barber shop is some what new so the place looks some what hipster (sideways wood panels ect) cool art on the side of the building and old school chairs and they have a what I think it's a bar bar area in the back of the shop but no one goes to a barber shop for hipster design and street art or to drink a beer but does look nice if your comparing it to small business shop! I gave this place a few chances and won't be going back go support a different not egotistic shop where they look at you in the eye and give you good customers service! read more
