Being new to the Wilmington area and someone who values self care, I was excited about Wilmington Hemp Spa. Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience their services. Due to an error on my end, I thought my appt was an hour later than it actually was, and missed my scheduled time. The moment I realized (about 20 min into the appt time), I called the spa. They offered to reschedule me but also told me I'd have to pay my full appt cost ($85) as a no-show fee either way. I completely understand a business needing to charge a no-show fee. Employees' time is valuable and employees shouldn't suffer for my mistake. However given that I was wanting to reschedule/pay again, and that it was an honest mistake, I asked if there was ANYTHING they could do to help me financially on the no-show fee, to allow their employee to still be paid but to maybe cut me a bit of a break on the no-show fee. $85 is a lot of money, especially to pay it twice to get 1 service. Unfortunately they were completely unwilling to do so. Clearly based on the glowing reviews, the spa is great. But the no-show policy seems to me particularly extreme and rigid based on what other spas charge for no-shows. Again, the missed appointment was my mistake, 100%. But I also know as a business owner myself that there is always a little wiggle room, and I wish they had been more flexible for someone who could have been a regular client. read more

So I have to say I'm a girlie girl, I love being pampered and when asked what I wanted for my birthday I knew exactly what to tell my sister....a Treatment by Taylor. I, to be fair, had been social media stalking her pages and knew it was a place I needed to check out. Fast forward to my birthday last week and the rainy day we had for us here in Wilmington where I met Taylor and became entranced in the most blissful experience ever. Taylor welcomed me into her space with such a gracious and caring presence that I couldn't wait to walk out of there feeling like a new me. She explained every part of the experience and what I should expect, turned on some music and let me get comfortable. Y'all I can't begin to explain the bliss I experienced. I felt like she took 10 years off of me and at the end of everything I just wanted to stay snuggled under that blanket while the storm literally raged outside. This little hidden gem in downtown is the perfect place to pamper yourself. I heard about Taylor through a coworker and immediately started following her on Instagram. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and makes you feel so comfortable. I got the High Rise facial, as well as my eyebrows waxed. When I got there she welcomed me, examined my skin and then walked me through everything she would be doing, step by step, based on my skin type and where my problem areas are. Afterward, she talked to me about products that would help but in no way was there pressure to purchase them. I will for sure be returning and I can not recommend her enough!! My skin was starting to revert to dry, sensitive when I made the move to Wilmington and needed a refresh fast. The Hemp Spa got me in for an appointment the next week and really addressed my concern and skin care needs! My skin has a long journey ahead but Jade has really helped pave the way. Wilmington Hemp Spa is the BEST place to get a Brazilian wax!! I tried so many different places around town before I came here & this one is superior. WOW. The atmosphere, experience, relaxation, and results are totally worth it! I got the MicroCannaDermabrasion facial and it was much needed! Throughout my facial I was very calm and relaxed. Taylor took the time to go over all the equipment she would be using and thoroughly explained each product. She asked about my skin goals, what I was currently using and explained the benefits of CBD on my skin. Since my facial here, I have begun using CBD products, and will definitely be returning. I also got my brows waxed and tinted. I previously went to a salon that butchered my thick brows, and Taylor is completely SAVING them! Through each appointment Taylor will shape my brows and get them back to the beautiful shape I once had! Overall, my experience here was wonderful. I got the Green Glow facial with Jade and it was absolutely fantastic. Jade is a very experienced and knowledgeable esthetician that was able to answer all of my questions and put me at ease. I haven't gotten a facial in an extremely long time and really wanted an experience that made me feel like I'd gotten a true treatment. I loved the space and the vibe and will absolutely be back for more services. Looking forward to trying everything else the hemp spa has to offer! read more
