Hiring Angela Wilson-Goodman was one of the worst decisions I ever could have made! It was so bad that I filed a complaint against her for legal malpractice and breach of contract (case # CV2024-029240) that unfortunately was dismissed if you care to look it up. It never occurred to me that the Arizona Superior Court would be open on a Federal holiday so I missed the statute of limitations by one day. In my complaint, I point out that Angela did not disclose critical documents to opposing counsel. She did not challenge my ex-wife's expert reports that contained fatal errors that I contend severely hurt my case. She did not get depositions from key witnesses. I worked two years putting together detailed documented evidence to support my position only to have Angela ignore it all during mediation. I submitted two letters to the Court documenting my first-hand account of what happened during mediation. From my perspective, my evidence, much of it audited by a 3rd party accountant, supports that my ex-wife got a $700K+ windfall because Angela didn't do a good job for me. I am currently writing a book that covers my experiences with the legal system that includes this attorney's representation. The plan is to also make available all of the documents I am legally able to share so that other attorneys can use my case as a learning tool (i.e. mock trials,etc.). I stated in one of my motions against Angela that I could have given all of my evidence to my dog and gotten a better result. Do your research on Angela. My advice, don't risk it. Find someone else! I called to inquire about this firm handling a potential case for me. I am a senior and reside in Florida so I found them on the internet. I called and spoke with Hannah who said Angela is great and that she can handle my case. She told me that it would be $200 for a 30 minute phone consultation. We scheduled a time and she sent me a link which I promptly paid. She asked me to send any documentation I had so that Angela would have it for our consultation. I sent everything to Hannah so we would be ready for the consultation. Less than an hour before my scheduled time to speak with Angela, Hannah called me and told me that the amount of information I had could not be handled in a 30 minute phone consultation and that I would need to pay an additional $200 for the projected time that they felt it would take. Hannah sent me the link which again I promptly paid. I called at my scheduled time and was transferred to Angela. She was nice however I cannot say that I felt that she would be the right advocate for me. We were only on the phone for about 20 minutes so I called the office and talked to the office manager Sherry and stated that I was only on the phone consultation for less that the original 30 minute time slot and I would like to me refunded the additional $200 I was charged and did not use. Sherry tried to tell me that the additional $200 was for Angela to review ALL of my documentation prior to me phone consultation which is completely contradictory to what Hannah told me to get me to pay the additional $200. They did refund $80 that day but I have requested that the additional $120 be refunded and they are refusing to do so. I explained I do not appreciate someone being unethical and not being truthful with me. I am tired of being taken advantage of and this is wrong. So this office needs to do the right thing since they know they are in the wrong and refunded $80 and refund the additional $120 that was unused since the phone consultation lasted exactly 21 minutes! read more

Avoid this attorney at all costs. She violated ER 1.2 of the Superior Court Rules of Professional Conduct when you refused to file an objection to the alleged agreement. ER 1.2(a) states, inter alia, that a lawyer shall abide by a client's decision whether to settle a matter." Do not hire Angela Goodman for a divorce. I will give overwhelming reasons why not to hire this person. First let's start off with this LINK article from Phoenix New Times newspaper. Click the link below. https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/news/angela-wilson-goodman-gilbert-lawyer-has-law-license-suspended-for-failing-to-play-fair-in-her-own-court-case-6650666 A Gilbert lawyer's State Bar license will be suspended for 30 days because of her bad behavior as a defendant in a lawsuit. Angela Wilson-Goodman, who started her own firm in 1997, specializes in commercial litigation and "general business advice," according to her Web site. If she gives good advice, though, she apparently didn't follow it after being sued for "contract damages." Wilson-Goodman blew off "multiple" court dates related to the lawsuit, and ignored a court order to turn over information about the case, says a bulletin by the State Bar of Arizona. During the lawsuit proceedings, a judge found Wilson-Goodman in contempt and sanctioned her. A Bar investigation followed, and through a consent agreement she acknowledged that she'd knowingly violated rules and dissed the judicial system. Her 30-day suspension begins on March 31. She'll also be put on a one-year probationary period by the State Bar and will have to pay $1,200 to pay back the cost of the investigation. OK my story begins. I wanted a divorce and got one using Angela and cost me $36K. I worked in a warehouse and ex-wife stay home mom. Purchased a home before my marriage. The divorce was stretched out for 2.5 years and no end in site. The billing just kept coming and coming. I texted my ex asking when is this divorce ever going to end? My ex said what are you talking about we've been divorced for a 11 months. I was never told i was divorced!! Over 2.5 years waiting for this to end. Lawyer type language bills never ending. It's a scam. When i found out i owed my ex $25K. Angela gave me the only advice ever. She said quote: "Well if your thinking of selling your house now would be the time." I said no way. I'll pay payments. It clicked why she wanted me to sell my house. It's to continue billing me forever. Angela gives no advice or coaching help. I had to pay my ex's attorney a portion of the divorce. My ex didn't pay a portion of my attorney. Angela agreed to everything the other party asked for. I got zero. If you hire Angela Goodman the only thing you'll get is billing forever and be miserable just like her. I argued in the beginning about advice or help what should i do what should i do? It was like talking to the wall behind her. I started getting angry thinking if I'm doing all he work why did i hire you?. I said quote: "Who's side are you on?" Eventually i found out who's side she's on. Herself sucking money out of me. I received yet another $4.8K bill and refused to pay it. This bill was 11 months after my divorce. We argued and argued. Nicole Baxter is the best asset this law office has, she was great and probably deserves five stars! I originally gave all my financial data, etc to an associate who left the firm and at the time was told I would be filing a Chapter 7 based on his information. I relied on his advice and the amount that I was going to be charged. A few months later (when nothing had changed my finances or bills) I turned in the paperwork and money to file the bankruptcy. Later I was informed that I would not qualifyfor a Chapter 7 but we need to file a Chapter 13. Now I realize this is all based on the law and charts however my finances had not changed thus the chapter should not have changed unless I was misinformed in the first place. I questioned this and was told that part of my finances were not listed on the questionnaire that the attorney had filled out at the time. I know for a fact I told him everything because I was concerned about the fact that I would be in the 13. After several emails and I'm sure the frustration in their office as well as my own one of their attorneys sent an email pretending as though it was supposed to be "inter office" (which we both know it wasn't) making the comment "Like we didn't already look at her income from every angle to try and find a way to make it work...Ugh!". Now I appreciate that she was frustrated but I was misinformed by their office and was paying a good sum considering I has no money. I then met with a separate attorney regarding the chapter 13 at which point he told me that they would most likely make a motion to make my payments not five years but less. That never came to pass and after the response to me being misinformed last time I didn't bother bringing it up. I did ask about other options as things continued to occur over the 5 years which they answered promptly and I appreciated. That aside the rest of my dealings were fairly nice and Nicole was fantastic. They also help me out with my divorce which I appreciated and although costly for two people who agreed on everything I do understand the work that went into it. read more

My divorce case wasn't as challenging as others I've heard about but I felt like my case was not a priority at all...guess I figured this is just how things go with attorneys. In a nutshell, almost a year and $11,000.00+ later, I'm still not divorced. Took days, sometimes weeks to receive follow up phone calls or emails from these offices and the paralegal seemed annoyed each time I called for status updates. They usually didnt acknowledge receipt of my emails so I wasnt sure if/when they were read. They waited for deadlines to contact me just before reporting for court conferences. When I released my attorney from my case, I was told that they will charge me to file that motion as well. So I'm waiting for another bill for basically me asking for status updates and the filing of the motion to fire them. Seemed like I was being milked for time.
