This is a specialty Asian grocery store where you can find most of your Asian ingredients. This little green shop is cluttered and packed with all sort of strange Asian groceries. I feel as though the place is a bit unorganized, with boxes of products on the floor (because they don't have the shelf space) and things placed randomly down aisles. This said, I have never ever been to a 'nice' Asian grocery store before either.
In Win Sam you can find pretty much whatever your looking for, they have an entire aisle for sauces, oils and marinades. Another majority of an aisle to Asian style snacks and sweet treats.
The back corner offers a tiny green grocer section that sells Asian vegetables. Their best feature is probably their frozen section, with a huge variety of dumplings, wontons, buns, flour skins, tofu, fish balls, hot pot meat- I could go on.
If you're not from a Cantonese speaking background and think you might have difficulty finding something, it's probably best to find out the name of your ingredient first and write it down, as there may be language barriers. read more
