Upon arrival we were given poppadoms and two small dips (probably not enough for 3 people). We were all a little disappointed that the poppadoms resembled those that you can easily pick up in the supermarket rather than being of the large home made size that we have experienced in other Indian restaurants. The food we had was full of flavour and the plain naan bread simply a delicious accompaniment. All three of us were left satisfied & certainly had no room for dessert. The staff are beautiful and always so friendly and welcoming, and although the restaurant looks quite intimate, it's surprising how many people can actually be seated inside. It's such a pleasant place to shop. They sell cheap meats, which I like (if I'm feeling lazy to head down to Victoria Street). ~ Customer service is really good! Everyone's always really helpful. ~ Spacious with pleasant music playing. I would recommend this spot! Not even for the products, but as strange as it sounds - is a pleasant shopping experience. But seriously, get those cheap meats!

What distinguishes this particular stall from all the others, is that it stocks a really interesting variety of imported cakes and biscuits and often manages to get it's hands (and in turn, I get my grubby paws) on some great gluten free food. I don't know how they do it. Plus it's a cheap place for toiletries and lollies yadda yadda. Gluten free. Get on it.

But Fruits on Coventry is the one I frequent the most, so I'm giving it my top prize. It's busy here, which means I know things are turning over quickly. Everything is super fresh and in addition to the usual suspects, I love the exotic fruits, special herbs, "trendy" things like edible flowers and micro herbs and purple carrots. The service is always efficient and friendly. While shopping around the other stalls may help me save a few dollars overall, this place has everything and knowing I get terrific quality and good service I generally don't bother and just make this my one stop shop for roughage.

The next challenge to face would be someone setting me up with a kudos expense account, a large expense account that is. A great selection of all the alcohols; spirits, wines, beers, ciders and such and a very pleasant lay-out. The first time I was here I spent a lot of time consulting the spirit wall, beer fridge, cider area and so forth. Today I spent time looking at the Pinot Noir section; its becoming a fast growing and established habit at any store I go into. Pretty great, I'm wondering why I haven't reviewed earlier.
