He responded no. I asked if he had any other BT products and instead of just answering my question, he responded very condescendingly, "Well you know they make more than just Buffalo Trace." I found one that was decent, but I should say that their wine section isn't huge. But it did the job. I thought that this liquor store was called The Campus Connection, because those are the words that are painted in red across the entire front of the building. But no, this place is actually called Friendly Package Liquors, and there's a small plaque by the door that tells you that information, in small letters. Friendly is located just down the street from Ball State University, so indeed, it really does have a connection to the campus. The people who work here are super friendly (thank goodness, because of the name of the store), and were ready and willing to help me find what I needed, even though I didn't need any help.

As to the service, most all of the employees seem rather knowledgeable about craft beer with the new ones working to lern. I can pretty much promise you if they're not busy at the register, they'll come out and talk beer with you, yet not be overbearing. Prices are sadly set by the state government so nothing to rate in that area. For a small store, the selection is pretty good, with some decent wine choices (plenty of them from our local winery) and lots of popular liquors and liqueurs. The attached drive-thru is for cold beer primarily - there are some soft drinks and chips as well as smokes (and chew), but the emphasis is firmly on alcohol. Don't drive through here looking for milk, in other words. You can purchase beer or wine in the drive thru but must come inside for liquor. You can certainly go inside to buy beer too. The guys that work here are very friendly and accommodating, cheerfully carrying your purchases to the car if need be, and in the drive through they'll put them in your trunk or back seat, however you prefer. The five star rating is primarily for service and I'm happy to give it. Nice long open hours, too.
