Last visit was on Friday June 26, 2026. It was my birthday so I told my wife we would go there and I would naturally buy. I guess that's the price of marriage, but when you are my age, 68, your just happy you are having such a day and hope for a few more. So, we both decided on a flyte each. I brought my flyte list home and here it is: Dry: Bourbon Barrel Cab. I gave it a 15 out of ten. Your damn right, it was and is THAT GOOD. SEMI-DRY: Autumn Leaves gets a 10 and Proprietor's White gets an 8. Why the 8? Well, the Automn Leaves could easily go over a 10 but that would diminish my review on the Bourbon Barel Cab. Semi Sweet: Goes to Cool as a Cucumber. This gets a three. Not that it is bad, just not quite my taste but it is very much worth a try on a tasing. Sparkling: Blueberry Mist came in with a 5. I guess is that I was so enamored with my top three, that nothing else was going to get into that group. So for the meal. O had the Firecracker-Tripple Meat infused (with red pepper flakes) honey. Outstanding if you like a little sweet and spicy. Our server was Justin and he treated us like we were royalty. Now for you Ladies. If you want to get the royal treatment, guess what. In the house next to the restaurant, they are putting in a complete day spa for the women. Yep, steam baths, messages and the works. You will pampered for the day and don't forget, there's dinner and a great wine list waiting just next door. So now if your a little unhappy about hubby hitting the local brewery, here's your comeback. Go tell all the girls in your circle that it's time to visit the winery and get the full schedule of when things will be taking place. ENJOY. read more

Stopped at the winery for lunch and a sample of wine. The service was great. The wine was super and we had the flatbread appetizers. Everything was very nice. Service was special because the server took the time to chat. This was our second visit to this establishment and we will certainly be returning again. read more

Incredibly disappointed. Stopped in for a flight and to purchase wine. Shocked by how we were treated. We had the flight amd left. I understand completely it can be challenging when things are busy. That said, it's not acceptable to treat people rudely or as though they are beneath you. Anyone. Anywhere. Any time. Regardless of the circumstance. This was not a simple "have some grace, it was a busy night". Our experience goes far beyond staff being flustered because it's busy. Too many other lovely places with warm welcoming staff and business owners who train and encourage their team members to value customers. Mom, Dad, I know you love to hang out on the farm when I come home to visit but this time we're mixing it up. We're cleaning ourselves up, heading 15 miles down the road and tipping back some vino at the Winery at Versailles. Yes, I know, I'm sorry you don't like wine - it's just that Redbox needs a break this weekend. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- If only I had realized *just* how close this business actually is to my back door I would have visited eons ago with out-of-town friends. My key takeaway from the visit: Heyo! They have wines that will tickle the fancy of those of us who stay away from the sugary grape juice booze. No offense, Rodeo Red and Wedding White. They also have a cherry chocolate (Schokolade - sp?) dessert wine that left me thinking "was that wine or a cherry cordial?" Delicious. The flights are on the expensive end at $6 for 5 tastings. The set up is really cute but I've had plenty of other tastings in "fancier establishments" that didn't quite hit that price point. Hungry? They have a short menu offering cheese cubes, bread, oil and pizzas. We opted for the bread and oil route. I would love to see some real cheeses on the menu - maybe some Ohio creameries with fruit/nuts? Servers: The staff was very friendly and attentive. My only note would be that our greeting could have used a little friendlier approach - "Do you have a reservation...oooohhhh...yeah, I'm not sure if we'll have room for you." (that's funny because there appears to be plenty of room in here) My parents had recently visited and received the exact same overwhelmed-like greeting. My favorite part of the winery was the rural and casual vibe of the building. It felt very much like home. We took a trip close to home at this winery. The good: The selections were really good. Many dry and sweet wines to choose from. They have over 20 varieties including dessert wines. The venue was small but charming with an upstairs and downstairs. It was clean and the staff was helpful. The meh: There was a pizza buffet that seemed out of place. There was one pizza and breadsticks on the buffet. We did not eat the buffet so we cannot comment on the taste, but we think they could probably have a bread and cheese spread to complement the selection of nice wines they have. Overall the wines are great and the venue is kind of cool. Definitely worth a stop. read more

I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to wine so I wont pretend to be. I love the wines I have had from Versailles. I particularly love the Darke Red, Wedding White, Niagra, and Summer Days. As far as the restaurant goes it could be better. The atmosphere is great and it gives you a sense of the small town its located near. I ordered the "PMS" pizza. pepperoni, mushroom, sausage. It had good flavor and was done nicely I thought. I overheard the waitress having a conversation with another table saying that the pizzas are made ahead of time and frozen so you can't special order one. The menu does state that there are no substitutions. Paying $18 for a frozen pizza does not really sit well with me even if you should come for the wine. I will come back and taste some more wines and try some of the other food. read more

I love this place with every inch of my heart and soul. I found them at the Grove City Wine Festival and hope I'm never without them in my life. I buy cases of their wine like people buy gas. Every kind of wine they offer is amazing and goes down easy. My favorites are the Summer Days (made with lemons not grapes and tastes like strawberry lemonade) and Peach Mist (sparkling peach wine that's great in sangria). Worth the 2 hour drive from Columbus to buy it. I just ordered a case of their Summer Days over the phone as they're almost out of it since its September. They couldn't ship this one to me since its in pouches, not bottles. The woman over the phone said they'd be in Columbus in a few weeks and I could just pick it up then to save myself the drive/gas. I told her I'd be happy to come get it so I can drink it sooner and get to taste more of their wine. Their food, specifically the pizza, is fabulous and the staff is super attentive. Go for one of their events (Thrill of the Grill or Ultimate Taste) and you'll have a blast. read more

We regularly stop in to buy wine, but had never sat down an ordered food. I was really hesitant after reading the menu online that stated "No substitutions or changes." Why? Is everything bought premade and heated up, or are they just jerks? They're just jerks. The food is very good, made in house. It's unfortunate, that with such a limited menu, that I can't get the pizza I want with one unwanted topping omitted. Despite that, we would return. The wine selections offer something for everyone. Interesting place, and their wines are very good also.They have wine events here often. The pizza is also really tasty as well. They are out in the middle nowhere which is not a bad thing and in fact is is good and they have, plenty of parking area. They have outside dining area as well. Prices are decent and the atmosphere is really nice. While I do not "drink" I do enjoy a nice glass of wine occasionally. They also sell their wines by the bottle as well. Nice place to go for a relaxing time. I always purchase a bottle of Muscatto for a friend of mine who appreciates a good wine whenever I am in the area to pick one up here. read more

If you want to eat out somewhere with class, good food and a varied menu you best look elsewhere. I've visited plenty of wineries worldwide and like to think I have an idea what to expect. Although we've visited the Winery At Versailles a dozen times or so we've only recently decided to eat there. The the last three visits we've dropped in on this "winery / restaurant" to either sit down & enjoy their wine or food we've had a negative experience. As of last night they've struck out. We're done. We won't be back. Recent Visit 1) We dropped in impromptu with an appetite after reading the marquee stating "Shrimp & Crab Boil." We were greeted by staff that informed us they were booked solid that night and that the shrimp & crab boil was "four days ago." So when I asked if we could simply do a sampler the two staff members looked at one another perplexed and finally agreed they could maybe sit us upstairs for a brief taste. The place was barren...not one seat in the house filled. Keep in mind we were dressed nice (and even showered). At that moment two other older couples entered (also dressed well & seemingly clean). The staff was even harder on them although they too only requested a sample. I believe the hostess & her comrade were about to panic (with a completely empty house). We sampled & left. Recent Visit 2) Again the marquee falsely stated a current dinner menu that was outdated. We left immediately. Last Night 3) It was a family celebration & reservations were made. Personally I was hoping for the best. The decision was not mine to return, but I gladly went along thinking...what's one last time going to hurt, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. We were seated and given one menu to share between the three of us. The marquee stated "Thrill & Grill" which was perfect because I wanted steak. We were told the thrill & grill was on "Saturday night (long pause) and Fridays to whereas you cook your own food on a community grill." ...well last night was Friday night and our waitress then added "Oh, but not tonight." So we ordered our wine sampler and one at a time viewed THE menu after requesting an appetizer. The choice was a 14 inch $20.00 pizza, pizza or pizza with a salad. Seriously. They have three kinds of Italian pies you can order & they're frozen (pre-made) so no modifications. The store bought spinach dip w' chips arrived in a Styrofoam bowl & plastic spoon. We finished the sampler & requested a bottle of Wintry Nights wine (not bad at all) "TO GO" along with the check. As we observed the waitress opening our bottle back behind the counter I stated "just let her do it." So when she arrived to the table with glasses in hand and an open bottle I reiterated the fact that I requested it "to go." She re-corked it, we begrudgingly paid and exited never to return. A note to all the 4 and 5 star givers of this establishment...please don't set your goals so low. I can assure you, there's much better out there. read more

Was so excited to visit this winery with some relatives. Had a nice lunch there once before with friends. This time, we showed up on a late afternoon with family when some pre-planned dinner was happening, and was terribly disappointed. We were treated like idiots for not checking facebook for updates about reservations. I don't even have a facebook account! The girl behind the counter was so rude and arrogant. She screeched at us with her high, bossy voice, and even rolled her eyes at me once. What a disappointment. We just wanted to try some wine and relax. read more

A group of healthcare workers (RN's, nurse practitioners, medical assistants) as well as friends from Honda have gone to this place the last three years for our Christmas party. It's very difficult to get all of our schedules coordinated so this year was unfortunately going to be tonight ,after Christmas. Our friend who normally organizes all of our events had called a couple weeks ago and made reservations. She called today to confirm, since we all live approximately an hour away, and was told that not only did they NOT have our reservation , but they would do nothing to try to accommodate us. There was no offer of anything to try to correct their mistake. Last year, the same friend had made reservations for one of the Loft areas and when we got there, they seated us in the loud main room even though we told them we had reservations in the loft. Once The friend who actually made the reservations arrived, she was able to let them know when she called and who she had talked to and we were able to finally be moved up to the quieter loft area since this was for our Christmas get together. Very disappointed in their attitude today and their unwillingness to even try to compensate for their error. If you're going to make reservations, we recommend that you get it in writing to confirm.
