How has WIND - AM 560 improved my life? Well, a better question might be: How has this radio station NOT improved my life? Allow me to explain. My oldest son was born a poor, black child. After well over a decade and a half of making extremely poor decisions for himself (eating sugar cereals, coloring outside of the lines, and intentionally stepping on cracks to break his mother's back), we made the difficult and costly decision to enroll him at our local Dan Proft Totalitarian UN-Re-Education Center for Recalcitrant Teens. And what a difference it has made! Just look at that smug look on his face. THAT is the look of a Jr. Proftie, capable of unholy amounts of crybaby bull jive. Thanks to Mr. Proft, our eldest is now responsible for the kind of inflated self-esteem and emotional waterboarding other parents can only dream about. He hasn't yet reached the age of reason and, thankfully, now he never will. Which is not to say our younger son hasn't also done well for himself, under Amy Jacobson's Morning Answer leadership. He's a First Chair on his middle school's Karaoke Traveling Team, and a three-time state champion for his pitchy yet powerful rendition of 'Betty Davis Eyes.'
