Our shy little daughter just blossomed at this school, to the extent that our friends and extended family remarked on the change in her confidence and demeanor. I'm admittedly a pretty anxious mama bear and I am still, a year later, so shocked at how seamless the adjustment to going to preschool felt for both my daughter and for myself. There were no tears from my little one when I dropped her off, but on more than one occasion she was adamant that she didn't want to leave the school when I picked her up. I could write paragraph upon paragraph, but I'll try to keep it short and sweet because I know firsthand how much energy it takes to search for that perfect fit. Here are some of the aspects that stood out to me! - The whole entire staff here is so wonderful. The director, Mrs. Wilkins, truly pours her heart into her school. She knows and loves each child and greets them by name. She also personally ran my daughter's lunch box/jacket/show and tell item down to her classroom on the more than one occasion that I completely forgot those items in a sleep deprived haze. Our daughter's teachers, Mrs. Gamoneda and Mrs. Pallota, were so kind and loving. Our kiddo can be stubborn, and she started the school year insisting that she didn't want finger paint on her hands. Mrs. G and Mrs. P worked with her, encouraging but never pushing (they even asked my husband and myself if there was any sort of alternative glue or paint she might find more tolerable), and our daughter was beaming with pride when she presented us with a finger painted keepsake a few weeks later. I said I'd keep this short, so bullet points for the rest. - All of the teachers are very qualified. - The school is clean and the teachers had the children wash their hands several times every day even in a pre-coronavirus world. - There are all sorts of fun theme days, class parties and a Christmas program. - This was my daughter's takeaway from our initial tour - two playgrounds! Here is my takeaway - two safe, age appropriate playgrounds that are fenced in. - In addition to the classroom, the children attend Chapel, Spanish and music class (we had the opportunity to observe a bit of the music class on our tour, and the kids were having so much fun). - A perfect combination of play based learning and learning skills that will be needed in kindergarten (our 4 y/o is now able to write her name but she had a lot of fun at school too) - The teachers incorporate super cool activities (a volcano, a caterpillar that turns into a butterfly, a classroom full of tents, reading Biblical stories via blacklight) into their daily lesson plans. - The school is safety minded. This was huge for me. - If you have a baby on your hip, everyone will help you. :) There is a wonderful drop off program, actually, in which teachers are in charge of getting kids from your car. It's very safe and coordinated well. - The school has a bridge program and a kindergarten program. This is actually how I learned about First Foundations. It's seriously the best school, and the only thing I would ever change about it is that I wish our kids could attend for a couple more years.

We were one of the families involved in the incidents, and the school refused to respond to multiple emails from us and the other families trying to obtain information (despite being promised we would all be kept up-to-date regarding camera footage and employee response). They even tried to have this review removed. We also believe they are sugar-coating, minimizing, and even omitting information completely when communicating with the families that remain at the school. It's clear to us that they are more concerned with covering up their mistakes and lack of action than actually protecting children in their care. Not only that but the head of school lied directly to another parent who inquired what was going on at the school. The head of school stated they couldn't do anything until an affected student had reported an incident to the school. I had already reported it to the school that my daughter was assaulted by this male teacher and happened to be in contact with the other Mom, which is how we knew they lied. They sent out a very misleading email with no specifics to a select group of parents letting them know that a teacher would be let go due to "misjudgment". However, I don't consider the touching of a female student inappropriately a misjudgment. Furthermore Endeavor had no intention on bringing this information to the appropriate authorities. It was only after a case was filed by multiple parents that they were cooperative. They would have likely swept this under the carpet. Furthermore, the fact that they allowed male teachers to be alone and without an adult female in the room is beyond irresponsible, this should never be allowed. Please really think twice about sending your child here. There are far better options.

Best Montessori School around!…read more Where do I begin? The staff here are some of the sweetest and friendliest people I have ever met. They go above and beyond to involve our children in everything and are so patient with them. My son was in Ms. Jerical's class last year with Ms. Gabi, Ms. Becca, and on e more assistant. He raved about them and spoke about them everyday when he came home. He had nothing but great stories to tell. His younger brother took his spot this year and was beyond thrilled to be a part of the Marimont Montessori family. Ms. Rachel the owner, and her husband, run an amazing, clean business and are also so friendly. They always return our calls and emails right away. They have chickens and other farm animals, the children learn to garden, and there is ample outdoor time, which they believe is so important and so do I. I have so many great things I can't fit them all. Stop looking around and have your children go here, you won't be disappointed and your children will THRIVE! We love everyone here. Between two children and a cross-country move, we have experienced more than our share of daycares -- easily a half-dozen over the past decade. This one stands out as being the best by a long shot. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this facility is a hidden gem. My only regret is that we didn't find it sooner. I think the best way to sum up my feelings is that every time I dropped off my child here, I felt such joy -- joy at seeing the directors Rachel and James running a caring-centered facility, joy at seeing the teachers empathetically interacting with children, joy at seeing the kids working independently at lessons that ranged from feeding farm animals on site, working in the gardens or enjoying a variety of lessons inside the classroom. As opposed to stricter Montessori environments I had experienced, where parents were discouraged from participating, we were welcomed here for monthly poetry recitals, Bubbles & Books and more. I loved the random events that inspired creativity, such as Dress Like a Composer Day or Chordate Day. We also participated in extracurriculars such as cooking class. Miss Reena has a 25 year experience in taking care of children from infancy through the pre-school years, and it shows. From our very first interaction we felt safe in the knowledge that our daughter will be in good hands in a healthy, safe, and structured environment conducive to learning and development, not just a "parking lot" for babies during the workday. We were given an after-hours, thorough tour of the facilities prior to enrolling, and we were impressed by the meticulous care with which everything is done, from the Montessori/Phonics methods of learning for all children, to the great variety of play/learning stations, the various activities offered, and the seemingly odd conviction (from a business perspective) to choose a smaller number of children receiving exceptional care and education over a larger number of children without this personalized attention. We have seen enormous changes in our daughter's development in less than two months, with much greater independence in play, improved confidence in exploring the world around her under supervision, as well as practical improvements such as sleep and eating, and we can directly attribute every single improvement to the tireless work of Miss Reena. Although there are no "fancy" offerings such as video surveillance and smartphone apps, parents of both infants and toddlers have open lines of communication in realtime via WhatsApp channels, and a daily personalized report during drop-off and pick-up to address any issues/concerns and offer invaluable advice on everything childcare-related. We have seen from other parents that they completely trust LHP with their children for all their formative toddlerhood and preschool years, and although our daughter is not old enough for the complete learning experience yet, we can definitely understand the strong bond parents and babies feel to LHP. Our daughter attended this daycare for only two days, and what happened during that short time left…read moreus shocked, angry, and heartbroken. On her very first day, she came home with wet underwear. We tried to give the benefit of the doubt and assumed it might have been an adjustment issue since she was new. But on her second day, she came home soiled with both urine and feces, and when we cleaned her up, we discovered that her skin was raw, red, and broken -- front, back, and between her private parts. This was a severe rash, the kind that happens only when a child has been left sitting in wet or dirty clothing for a long period of time. No child develops skin that damaged from a single brief accident or if they had been properly checked and cleaned. We immediately emailed the center director on Friday evening to report this serious issue, but no one ever responded. The center was closed Monday and Tuesday, but on Tuesday morning my husband went in person to speak with the director. She admitted she hadn't even checked her emails yet. He explained everything and asked for a refund, as we could not possibly send our child back after what happened. She said she would speak with corporate and call us back. Later that day, we received a call from a corporate representative in California. She completely dodged the issue and refused to acknowledge what happened. She kept repeating the same line -- that our child was "checked throughout the day." I calmly told her that if our child was checked and cared for properly, there's no way she would come home with her skin raw and damaged like that. Instead of addressing that point, she just kept repeating the same scripted response and acted as if the rash didn't exist. When I asked for escalation, she refused, claiming there was no one above her to speak with. She also said their "policy" required a 30-day withdrawal notice -- meaning we would not get a refund -- completely ignoring that we were withdrawing because of neglect and harm to our child. When I tried again to explain how serious this was, she became defensive and hung up on me. We trusted this center with our child's safety, hygiene, and care. They failed completely. Then, instead of showing concern or accountability, they deflected, denied, and dismissed what happened. Our daughter came home hurt and in pain -- and all we got from corporate was denial and a refusal to even acknowledge reality. If you are a parent considering this daycare, please think carefully. The lack of care, communication, and accountability we experienced is unacceptable. A daycare should be a safe, nurturing place -- not somewhere a child ends up in pain and parents are gaslighted when they speak up.
