The moment I set foot inside, I could tell this place was different from other brew hobby shops. First of all, this guy makes no mistake letting you know he knows how to craft a good brew. The walls are covered in ribbons from competitions that he won. I didn't even bother counting. There must be over 300 of them from all over the country. However, you would never know it from Paul's personality. He was gracious and rather humble considering the amount of success he has had. I explored his shop and just totally "geeked out" over the stuff he has. His prices are very reasonable and he is full of great advice. I don't live in the area but I would make the hour drive to Willimantic anytime I want to upgrade my equipment or get some great brewing advice. Make sure you call ahead because his hours are not always the best but this reason alone is not enough to justify giving this shop any less than 5 stars.

Whether it's bad kegs or hot glasses, the result is the same: lukewarm, skunky beer that's hard to enjoy. Food was another disappointment. Every item came out cold, and the flavors were on par with grade‑D fast food--bland, lifeless, and nowhere near the standard this place once had. Giving three stars feels generous, but it's a nod to the legacy Willibrew built over the decades. Located in the somewhat unassuming (and occasionally gritty) downtown Willimantic area, Trigo is truly a hidden gem. Street parking is available, or you can park in the rear lots and walk up the alley to the front entrance. We ordered the classic red cheese pizza, which was savory, crispy, and exactly what you want from a great pie. The real standout, though, was the Lemon White pizza. It was fantastic--unique, bright, and seriously delicious. Thin slices of whole lemon are baked right into it, and they're completely edible. A drizzle of honey and a touch of chili pepper bring everything together in a really memorable way. The beer selection is solid as well. We enjoyed the Keeper's Irish Red and the Mountain Magic cider. Honestly, give Trigo a shot--you won't regret it. My only complaint? They're closed on Sundays... which is a bit of a tragedy.

Putting the beer there cold will not keep them cold if you have no ice in it.it needs ice to keep cold unless you have those same beers cold in another fridge that's electric operated. Some employees here keep it with ice and some don't regardless of me letting them know, because they'll be no ice when I've returned and I have left somewhere else because of this. Every employee needs to be on the same page
