Stayed overnight, just passing through. They allow for late arrivals and are dog friendly so it worked. I didn't expect to arrive at such a nice park, or see so many people out and about the campground at 9:00pm. The park has a lot to do, if I weren't just passing through I definitely wouldn't have gotten bored. What are the stone towers on each side of the river? I didn't have time to ask, but will on my next go around as we will be back. read more

Great resort New, so needs more shade Need better WiFi signals for the capacity Bring your booster or hot spots Seems a bit off the track but actually if you turn right out of the resort, you hit a town! Huge investment in the pool - amenities, and comfort stations. I only wish there were more showers/toilets in the comfort stations and usually the garbage is collected daily for RV guests- the garbage can is far far far. My puppies enjoyed the open grass by our riverside campsite, but the back area 'riverside' can't access or even see the river - overall Great stay read more

This is a newer RV park with numerous amenities very much geared toward family fun! We just finished a 2 night stay - nice site, decent rate, included patio table & chairs. Check out time is 11:00 am. While getting all spooled up to leave, I incurred a minor first aid incident that took about 15 minutes to resolve. At 11:05 my husband was outside watching as I retracted our three slides. Apparently, at this same time, he received a voice message from Kina (time stamped 11:06) telling us check-out time was 11:00 and advising that we would be charged a $20 late departure fee. They have another guest arriving for this site (with at least 20+ other empty sites) at 2:00 pm. Bear in mind, there were campground workers scurrying around everywhere but not a single comment to us. We pulled out onto a wide road area, hooked up our toad & we're departing the property by 11:20. I understand this is 20 minutes beyond their deadline but it did not appear to be effecting anything. At our next stop 2+ hours later, my husband found the message & we immediately called to be certain we had not been charged an extra $20. We were informed (by Sheri??) that we were not. We discussed the intense message at 6 minutes past time & how unfriendly this seemed customer service-wise. Sheri apologized & said they would not intend to treat their clientele curtly or so quickly. The next morning, Kina called my husband & reiterated she was "following policy" & that's how it should just be. He asked if she felt any need to apologize for her timing or attitude and she promptly told him she saw no reason to apologize to him at all. Life isn't perfect. We were not. But, it's pretty obvious when you're nothing but dollar bills to a business. read more

Rude staff, DO not book here if you want to have an enjoyable experience. We ended up leaving early due to them enforcing rules last minute. Came to have an enjoyable time with friends and they made it so no one had fun and we only wanted to leave. One of the coldest nights they stated we could not have a fire due to high wind but when we called and spoke with the fire department they stated winds are only 2mph and it is not an issue. They just wanted us to not have a fire. Cabins are Very small for amount of money you are paying for, no table and not equipped with things like baking sheets. Would not book here again. Also, in the middle of an industrial area. Just be warned. read more

We booked a tiny home at this campground for a long weekend and paid $1,000 for 3 nights, expecting a well-equipped stay as advertised on their website. Unfortunately, the experience did not match what was promised. The tiny home was far from "well equipped." We weren't even provided enough basic essentials like towels or washcloths. When we went to the front office to request more, the staff member was extremely rude and told us we could not have any additional towels. For the price we paid, this was both surprising and disappointing. We were also told there was a fire ban in place during our stay--on a very cold weekend--yet when we contacted the local fire department, they confirmed there was no fire ban. This added to the frustration, especially since we were there with two other families. We reached out to the manager by email to share our concerns and received no response. The only reply we eventually got was after posting on Yelp, and even then the information given was incorrect. This campground has a lot of potential considering the amount of money clearly invested in the property, but the poor customer service overshadowed everything. Until the management addresses these issues, I cannot recommend staying here. read more

Janean is a Peach! Sikeeeee! Okay, let's start from the beginning... Check-in was great! The kind lady who helped us (of course I didn't get her name! ‍) was incredibly gracious. I explained we're from the area and planning to move "home" to be closer to family, and that we had an extra vehicle and trailer due to the move. She was so understanding and even welcomed us "home"! The gentleman who escorted us to our site was also fantastic, showing us exactly where to pull out of the way while we got set up then take the additional vehicle & trailer to our near by property. At first glance, the resort seemed good- fairly well-maintained grounds (lots of standing water), friendly staff, and convenient to Cartersville. A bit pricey, but we hoped it was worth it for the amenities and location. Pool: Small but fun! The slides are a hit with the kids. However, I was told when booking that the pool would be heated- it definitely was NOT. The water was freezing, even on a sunny 80° day in early October. Sites: All are pull-through and easy to navigate, but they're packed in tight and offer ZERO shade. Pretty typical of RV "resorts" these days. Golf Carts: Rentals are reasonably priced and convenient for getting around. Staff: Aside from power-hungry Janean, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Some of the younger employees seemed a bit disengaged, but if you've raised teens or college-aged kids, you get it. Location: Great spot, centrally located with quick access to I-75 and Hwy 41/411. Bathhouses: Great to have but they weren't kept clean during our stay. We assumed staff were busy with the RV Show that weekend. ‍ WiFi: While there's no shortage of towers on the property, the WiFi service itself is terrible. If you're planning to get any work done or stream your favorite shows, definitely have a backup plan. Cell service is fine, probably thanks to the lack of trees but the WiFi leaves a lot to be desired. Now for the downside; on our third night, Janean single-handedly turned a pleasant trip into a frustrating one. We had family members dropping off one of our kids and wanted to stay for a short visit, grab food from the on-site food truck and say hello. They were told it would be $20 per person to come in for an hour! When I tried to discuss it, Janean was dismissive, rude, and downright hostile, insisting we were told about this policy at check-in (which, after a travel day with a 2 trailers and Atlanta traffic, was hardly something top of mind or concern). We also were not informed about the exclusive RV Show upon booking a month in advance. It was disappointing, especially at $90+ per night, when our guests weren't using any amenities (and honestly, neither did we, thanks to the freezing pool and dirty bathhouses). In closing: We'll be skipping Winding Waters in the future. I had been warned this place has excessive "HOA-style" rules but figured we'd give it a chance. Don't be like me, save your money and stay somewhere that actually feels welcoming. read more

Do NOT camp here, facilities may be niz, however you are in THEIR ultimate control!! Kinda like being 'locked into' their world with NO visitor's allowed!! PERIOD!! Once they say they are booked, you are NOT allowed in, however IF they are having an RV Show magically for 20$ a head, you can go in & visit!! Even if your visit is NOT to use their 'pay for' facilities, but just to say hello to out of town family members for an hr., NO one gets in!! When making your reservation, months in advance, there no guarantee once your there, that THEY add something there causing them to be booked & your family will NOT be allowed in!! PERIOD, as per "Jeanne", the Manager that has NO concern, sympathy or people skills ..HORRIBLE personality!! We're camped there before, trust me that $80 a nite is SO not worth THEIR control & demands!!! Look elsewhere!! read more

Mr. Micah was very unwelcoming. Zero customer service skills and not very friendly. Seemed to have made it seem as if they were filling up all of a sudden. Used terms such as you're "throwing questions at me" because I was simply asking the rates and if it were possible to see the property. He kept saying we're not giving tours. Just completed a four day stay at the resort. First the positives. Staff was friendly, facility clean, nice size pool with slides and lazy river. The concrete pads are level which makes it easy unhooking and setting up a 5th wheel. Even though it was packed over the weekend at the pool with campers and their guests, I did not feel crowded at the pool. Now the negatives. Wi-Fi is terrible. I mean really bad. Probably the worst I have experienced at a campground that offers this service. Even though they have at least 10 mini towers within the complex the Wi-Fi would disconnect after about 5 minutes. That is if it hooked up and offered internet service. The second issue had to do with the quality of the water. We noticed at times brown tinted water coming out of the water line at the campsite. Even after hooking up to the line we noticed at times brown water coming out of the sink and toilet. The water went through our water filter and it still was brown. Finally, they need to try to keep the people with dogs near each other. The trailer next to our arrived and they immediately set up a portable dog pen. At 7 in the morning the dog was put in the pen and proceeded to bark until around 10 AM when the owners exited their trailer. Finally, while the pool is nice the lazy river is remarkedly small. One trip around takes about 15 seconds. This property has the potential to be a very nice resort. At this point in time its not worth 80 dollars a night to stay at. read more

The resort is very nice. Sites are concrete pull through with full hookup. Pool with slide and lazy river . No floats to buy or rent . No shade as this is a newer park and the trees are not fully grown. The only negative thing I have to say is lawn maintenance. Mowed one morning came into the patio pad and blew grass everywhere. No warning. Next morning as we are getting ready to leave here comes the weed whacker . Right up along side of our rig. They could have waited until we left. Asked him not to get grass on the rig. He was not happy. This is a big issue for me. I know you need to get it done but it could have waited until we left. Grass was not even long. And what happens when you hit something that breaks a rigs window. read more

Enjoyed our experience at Winding Waters Rv Resort. Went there because of the Lazy River; small but moved great! No tubes available but they did not mention it. For the seven days we were there music was played at the pool one day only?? Hot tub is nice and hot and jets are nice. I offer a suggestion to them to upgrade ambiance for the resort feeling by adding pots all around the pool area with blooming plants. The lazy river's center island has dead plants & weeds and needs reworking. enjoyed our seven days as everyone was very friendly and all the areas of the park are kept very clean and very neat and tidy. read more
