This a great spot for a change of scenery! My sister invited me out and it was my first time here. The drive out there was pretty easy and felt so close that I was surprised that I've never been here before. Better signage would help to arrive for parking. It was pretty empty outside, which I understood because it was hot. We decided to go upstairs and order a drink. The bartender was really sweet and attentive. We placed an order with her for food as well and sat outside while we waited. The view of the water upstairs is beautiful. You see the boats go by and wave. We ordered nachos, a burger, buffalo wings, and a club sandwich. (About $16-18 each). The food took about 10 to 15 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. The server was really nice and friendly. He chatted a bit with us and made sure everything was as ordered. I tried a little bit of everything and I will say, everything tasted great! The food was plentiful for the price. The buffalo wings were bigger than I expected. The club sandwich was huge and I got full with just half the order. The curly fries were made to perfection. I couldn't get enough of those. The inside has connect for, a pole table, and darts. They didn't have a central AC. They just had the windows open so it got pretty hot in there but overall we had a great time! read more

Plenty of umbrella-covered tables provide welcome shade while you soak in the waterfront views. The staff was friendly, upbeat, and attentive, adding to the easygoing vibe. We decided to make it a finger-food feast, and every basket that hit the table looked better than the last. The onion rings arrived beautifully golden with a light, airy batter that shattered with every bite, accompanied by both ranch and barbecue sauces for dipping. The nachos were a showstopper. Built sky-high with seasoned ground beef, a generous blend of cheeses, fresh pico de gallo, jalapeños, olives, onions, sour cream, and guacamole, every chip was loaded with flavor. This isn't a plate meant for one person, it's made for friends to gather around. Just don't wait too long, because like all great nachos, the race is on before those bottom chips get soft and surrender to all that cheesy goodness. The appetizer sampler was another winner, piled high with crispy chicken strips, crunchy flautas, fries, chips & cheese and even more onion rings. To finish, we shared the shredded chicken quesadilla, grilled until beautifully golden with just the right amount of char. The tortilla was crisp on the outside, while the seasoned shredded chicken and melted cheese created a rich, satisfying filling. Paired with fresh guacamole and cool sour cream, it was simple comfort food done right. This isn't the place for fine dining, and that's exactly its charm. It's where you come to dock the boat, order an ice-cold beer, share baskets of delicious comfort food, tap your foot to live music, and watch the boats come and go. We love Windmill Bar and Cove! It's our go-to lunch spot when we're out on the Delta. The food never misses--I pretty much rotate between the fish tacos and the club sandwich. Both are solid choices. But the real MVP here? The bartender. We usually see her on Sundays (dark black hair--you'll know her when you see her). She's the superwoman behind the bar, effortlessly juggling drink orders, food tickets, and a sea of customers like it's just another casual Sunday. Watching her in action is like watching a well-choreographed performance... with cocktails. She also was the only bar tender there yesterday, April 13th (give her a high five for me). Also, shoutout to the drink she made me last time in my photo here. 10/10. Yummy and pretty. Windmill is the kind of place that makes you want to become a regular, if you aren't one already. We love it here we camp at least two times a year for the past 30 years with all our friends but this weekend was horrible. We always are behind the office with an open meadow, BUT this year we had a group right next to us with kids coming into our space. Lets face it, when you're out on the water you're out to have a fun. My family and I went out of our way to visit Windmill Cove on one late Sunday afternoon 8.18.24. We found that the staff at this, of what seemed to be a happening place, were more interested in servicing their regulars and wouldn't give us the time of day. The bar tender had a Macho attitude and deliberately ignored me while I waited to ask questions about food service. He was more interested in talking to regulars about personal things while I had to waited and wasn't even acknowledged. I was standing in front of him!! The service here sucks! They have no idea how to treat new patrons. The general feeling is the wait staff here is full of themselves. I must admit I did catch the attention of the cooks in the kitchen and they seemed warm and friendly. Nov is slow season at Windmill Cove. No boaters to watch. This is a hidden gem. Everyone, staff and customers were friendly. The upstairs decor was right on, along with the water ways on both of the restaurant. The food was made downstairs and brought up to us. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were soft, the veggies crisp and the garlic toast was the best I've had. I'll have to try it during the summer. read more

If you are looking for below average food, basic staff help - You have come to the right place. I would not suggest this place or waste my time every going to an event here. I would give it a rating of less if I could. Do not take your own water, drinks, food, NOTHING! oh and the security the hire is trash too. I would suggest, keep on driving by!!! So I called this place my home been coming here since I was 5yrs old I'm 36 now I went tonight to do a get away, as what I've always known during functions no drinks inside and you can't leave with any either. Me and my friend came in dead for a Sunday came in with a soda wasn't told by any staff while we were there until coming down to the lower part a lady being rude and sarcastic welcome to windmill cove we said thank you I love it out here been coming since I was a kid she tends to say well if you been coming out here you should know there's no big gulps inside. We get approached by another lady saying shes the owner and the other lady was a manager, but I'm like ok we went out side and the lady being really rude walked us all the way out. So we chilled outside for a moment to take a breather and we are seeing several ppl come out with drinks which never in my life that's allowed but seeing several ppl walk in as well but was never told anything. We went back inside and my favorite bar tender fixed it and made us feel comfortable again and as we are leaving the owner supposedly says that we are allowed to leave with the alcohol we bought and we said we can't it's an open container. Dan you need to correct that they are rude favoritism andy friend felt like she was pinpointed out due she was the only one that was from a different race and she has been going for a long time as well and the first time for both of us we ever experienced this I have video and pics of what happened as well. read more

We came here on a Sunday to watch one of our favorite bands. We have never been there before. The venue itself is really out of the way. As you're getting closer it almost feels like you're lost, but then BAM! There it is. It's all outside seating. Most of it has modest cover, but the dance area is completely exposed to the elements. There is a full bar located outside where you can order your drinks. A mixed drink is $10. There is no table service. You go inside to order food and then back in to pick up your food. We had the chicken strips which came with plenty of fries. One of us had the tri-tip sandwich, which didn't come with fries. The food was good. The staff that works there was helpful and friendly. There is a pretty big stage and lots of room to dance. It's right on the water and we had a great time. The bathrooms were located a short walk from where the seating is. You have to walk up a few steps into a bathroom trailer structure. They were pretty clean but it's like an airplane bathroom experience. In case that's important to you. Wear your hat, bring sunscreen. Very casual dining. read more

I love this place and I've been going here for years. The food has gotten much better, they've really cleaned up the place, but.. I'm gonna keep it real. A couple of the female bartenders are complete jerks! When you walk up to the bar to simply order a drink.. They look at you like you just killed their dog or something! The owner should do something about them. And, the owner is actually pretty cool so, it's sad that he's letting foolios like this work here. Otherwise, I love this spot and hopefully they'll get some friendly bartenders in there. It's a good spot for Stockton tho.. Be nice!! :) Cheers! We LOVE Windmill Cove, They have some of the best free concerts. Their drinks are reasonable. The food is good, bar food. We love to get the deep-fried burritos. Sometimes they BBQ ribs and those are awesome. I think Jerry is the owner, and he is very nice. Bathrooms are just okay, kinda stinky sometimes, but I think they are porta potties. We recommend this place to all our acquaintances. We have not stayed at RV park yet, but we are going to soon. It doesn't look too fancy, but sometimes we have to much fun and don't want to drive home. read more

Crab and Rib Feed on 2/25/2023. Tickets were $75 Dollars. They started serving crab approximately around 6 PM. And, crab was out by 630 PM. The servers said there was no crab left. Furthermore, around 650 PM. They were selling crab in a bag for $10.00 a bag. Funny as there was no crab left. Never again, we had to go to Texas Road house to have dinner. We used to come here because the food was always good and they have good live music, this season the food has gone way down hill and the prices have gone way up. The food is absolutely horrible now, so disappointing! We always looked forward to a burger and fries here...now you get a mediocre burger with 1 strip of bacon and a bag of chips.
