We have been going to this marina for several years now, everytime we plan to go fishing at the Delta. The service is quick and nice once you get there. They let you know on how the conditions are out there. Minimal paperwork. Insurance costs you $16, not bad at all. We usually rent the basic boats with a canopy over our heads for fishing. It does its job. Yesterday they said they ran out of those canopy boats for us because all of them were being reserved, so we bummed out. Scorching hot sun and no canopy for the whole day = burnt skin and us going home early. Once we were about to load, one of the workers checked out what they had left, and TADA... They had one random canopy boat left. Thank God! They do go out of their way to help customers out! If you are planning to rent jet skis here, they stopped doing that a few years ago. I recommend making reservations just in case!

We grew up on the delta, every year we would rent a house boat and tow our ski boat. These were some of the best memories. It has been many many years since we had rented house boats and with my parents getting older and have grandchildren they wanted them to experience the delta as well. The staff at paradise point was great. I called and placed 2 house boats and a ski boat on hold for a weeks rental. My dad also called to place the house boat rentals (a little bit of miscommunication with the family) and the staff not only figured out it was a second request but were able to accomidate the different family members paying for the rentals. I am sure it would have been easier to have one person pay and the rest of the family pay them, however Paradise Point made it very easy for us to pay individually which was very helpful!

On Sunday July 3, my wife and I with our 2 boys (ages 20 and 18) rented a ski boat for a day from Paradise Point. We rented a 19' Commander with tower, small sun shade and 150 HP outboard motor - along with skis, wakeboard, kneeboard, tow line, and PFDs. The boat and ski equipment worked well. The staff was helpful and friendly. Andy gave us advice about where to go on the Delta. Adam checked us onto the boat and gave us the ski equipment. Our day on the Delta was fun. After wheel-barreling our food from our car to the boat, we sped west on the White Slough past King Island Resort to the San Joaquin River. We started skiing on the western side of Medford Island, and skied for most of the day on Columbia Cut in the area just south of St Francis Yacht Club.

Great place to launch with plenty of parking when we went. We were in and out quickly. Steep launch ramp.

Ask the Community - Paradise Point on the Delta

    Can you swim the river?

Yes. The water is brackish and during the summer it can be 75 to 80 degrees. If you do swim, be careful of boats moving fast down the river. It is best if you have an orange flag up while in the water.

After several days of no response, I decided to go down to the office in person. To my surprise, I arrived during what should have been open office hours and saw the manager leaving with a man who seemed to also work at this Marina. They were gone for hours, and the office remained closed the entire time. I was told by a nice gentleman at the Marina that this is a normal occurrence for the two of them. This isn't just about poor communication--it's about accountability and professionalism. If you're managing a marina, customers and boat owners need to be able to rely on you being present, responsive, and focused on the job. Sadly, that hasn't been my experience here. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because this level of service is unacceptable, especially when people are entrusting you with their boats and time.

Better signage would help to arrive for parking. It was pretty empty outside, which I understood because it was hot. We decided to go upstairs and order a drink. The bartender was really sweet and attentive. We placed an order with her for food as well and sat outside while we waited. The view of the water upstairs is beautiful. You see the boats go by and wave. We ordered nachos, a burger, buffalo wings, and a club sandwich. (About $16-18 each). The food took about 10 to 15 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. The server was really nice and friendly. He chatted a bit with us and made sure everything was as ordered. I tried a little bit of everything and I will say, everything tasted great! The food was plentiful for the price. The buffalo wings were bigger than I expected. The club sandwich was huge and I got full with just half the order. The curly fries were made to perfection. I couldn't get enough of those. The inside has connect for, a pole table, and darts. They didn't have a central AC. They just had the windows open so it got pretty hot in there but overall we had a great time!

While you can certainly drive here, arriving by water is part of the experience and makes this waterfront gem feel like a destination rather than just another restaurant. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for, relaxed, lively, and filled with people enjoying the sunshine, good company, and free live music. Plenty of umbrella-covered tables provide welcome shade while you soak in the waterfront views. The staff was friendly, upbeat, and attentive, adding to the easygoing vibe. We decided to make it a finger-food feast, and every basket that hit the table looked better than the last. The onion rings arrived beautifully golden with a light, airy batter that shattered with every bite, accompanied by both ranch and barbecue sauces for dipping. The nachos were a showstopper. Built sky-high with seasoned ground beef, a generous blend of cheeses, fresh pico de gallo, jalapeños, olives, onions, sour cream, and guacamole, every chip was loaded with flavor. This isn't a plate meant for one person, it's made for friends to gather around. Just don't wait too long, because like all great nachos, the race is on before those bottom chips get soft and surrender to all that cheesy goodness. The appetizer sampler was another winner, piled high with crispy chicken strips, crunchy flautas, fries, chips & cheese and even more onion rings. Everything arrived piping hot, perfectly crisp, and cooked exactly as it should be. Every bite offered something different, making it the perfect platter to share over a couple of cold beers. To finish, we shared the shredded chicken quesadilla, grilled until beautifully golden with just the right amount of char. The tortilla was crisp on the outside, while the seasoned shredded chicken and melted cheese created a rich, satisfying filling. Paired with fresh guacamole and cool sour cream, it was simple comfort food done right. This isn't the place for fine dining, and that's exactly its charm. It's where you come to dock the boat, order an ice-cold beer, share baskets of delicious comfort food, tap your foot to live music, and watch the boats come and go. Sometimes that's exactly the recipe for a perfect day on the water... and this place delivers it beautifully. Overall: A must-stop when you're out enjoying a day on the Delta. Just save room for the onion rings, they're worth the trip all by themselves.

Warning if you plan on living on your boat…read moreat brentwood marina and have cats, don't let your cat out of your boat because the owners let their dogs kill cats. I'm not sure if they still drown cats that they catch in traps, I know they use to. One of my cats disappeared I can only pray that their dogs didn't get a hold of it. Not only is that animal cruelty it is illegal! They say it is a family atmosphere yet one of the owners sons is not allowed there. The marina is on private property, that is the loop hole they use to make up their own rules as they go along. Be careful they are very nice "at first". You will probably be okay if you don't bring guests. (What is the purpose of having your boat at a marina if the owners are going to pick and choose if and when you can have guests?). That is my opinion from my own experiences while living at the marina. The problems started when I called the sheriff because I had a guest come from Tahoe and She needed to use the restroom. She was stopped by one of the owners and was told the bathrooms are for paying tenants and they made her leave. A couple days later they gave me a 30 day notice to vacate and told several of the other tenants that they need to make sure there boats are registered (which mine has always been registered) because the sheriffs are going to be coming and they can thank Dana for that. When other tenants were seen coming to my boat Pete would tell them they better pick sides. Pete said he is getting rid of the Bleeders. (People that stand up for themselves?) I felt like I was dealing with third graders! Unreal...
