Paradise Point was at one time a jewel on the Delta. Since it was acquired in 2014 by Bridge Bay/Peloria Marinas, out of Los Angeles, the Marina has steadily turned into a abismal shell of what it once was. At one time it boasted a house boat rental fleet, fuel docks, a well supplied ship's store that was staffed and open, a wonderful restaurant, well cared for grounds and the road was maintained by the rental garages, plenty of parking in the lower lot, a near full moorage of well cared for houseboats. I stored our MB ski boat there in an enclosed garage for 20+ years, as we have an Island close by. I have watched the Marina go steadily down hill, all the while being told by the revolving door of replacement managers that Bridge Bay/Peloria was going to start making improvements. The restaurant occupant, Breadfruit Tree moved on, no attempt to fill the need for a new restaurant, even though "they'll have something soon." The fuel docks were leaking and repaired but were never brought back on line. The ample parking was replaced by a outdoor boat storage lot. The ship's store is minimally stocked and not staffed, you must get a manager to come sell you something from the mediocre supplies available. The houseboat rental fleet is parked and rotting way. The lower garage and parking lot roads are pot holed and terrible to drive on. Staff was laid off and cut to a bare minimum. The moorage is now half, at best, of what it once was and comprised of decaying, dirty houseboats, most appear to be occupied by liveaboard owners or renters and reports of drug usage and sales occurring constantly! The final straw for me was coming back from a days skiing, to find my truck in the lower parking lot broken into stereo gear, amps speaker system and personal items gone, all IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. I learned from the manager that Stockton PD will not come out even if video footage of the theft with car license numbers and pictures of the thieves are available. I returned the next weekend to find that my garage had been the victim of another attempted break in to steal my boat and personal gear, the only thing preventing it was I had the garage double padlocked. I wasn't special, as I learned from management that there was a rash of similar thefts going on at the Marina, DAILY! Oh, another amenity Bridge Bay/Peloria Marinas did away with was security staff personnel driving the Marina. I pulled my boat out of the garage I had for years, the very next morning, taking it home. A month later, I was blessed and able to move into another Marina that is a business that cares about their customers experience and security, and is LOCALLY owned. My brother in law, a boater from Redding says, the same thing has happened to a Lake Shasta marina, that Bridge Bay/Peloria Marinas has also acquired. It really is sad that a once jewel of the Delta has been beat down and wasting away. read more

We have been going to this marina for several years now, everytime we plan to go fishing at the Delta. The service is quick and nice once you get there. They let you know on how the conditions are out there. Minimal paperwork. Insurance costs you $16, not bad at all. We usually rent the basic boats with a canopy over our heads for fishing. It does its job. Yesterday they said they ran out of those canopy boats for us because all of them were being reserved, so we bummed out. Scorching hot sun and no canopy for the whole day = burnt skin and us going home early. Once we were about to load, one of the workers checked out what they had left, and TADA... They had one random canopy boat left. Thank God! They do go out of their way to help customers out! If you are planning to rent jet skis here, they stopped doing that a few years ago. As a child, I used to go up to the Delta every summer on my parents' sailboat; never once did I imagine that I would someday have to rent a houseboat. Years ago, there were numerous companies renting houseboats, but now, Paradise Point is the last one left, or rather, the only one to have survived the economic downturn. The marina staff is very knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful. Orientation is provided, and lasts as long as you need it to; no question is too silly or too juvenile. The high season rate for a small houseboat is $1050 for 3 days 2 nights, plus a $500 security deposit that can be used towards fuel purchase. SInce it had been 20 years since I had last driven a boat (a sailboat, at that!) I opted for the damage/collision insurance, about $60 for the 3 days. Houseboats have a shower, toilet, microwave, BBQ, fridge/freezer and a huge cooler. If you need to charge a cell phone or want to miicrowave a meal, you can run the generator and get electrical power. I recommend bringing a swim ladder, pool toys and a GPS unit. You should also bring your own life jackets, as the ones on board are the "mae west" type for emergency use. The staff it very helpful. I got lost twice--once on the way out of the marina, and once on the way back in--and had to call for directions. Jessica and Renee at the office are very professional and patient, and there is a troubleshooter on staff for if you encounter any engine trouble, or if you just need directions. We grew up on the delta, every year we would rent a house boat and tow our ski boat. These were some of the best memories. It has been many many years since we had rented house boats and with my parents getting older and have grandchildren they wanted them to experience the delta as well. The staff at paradise point was great. I called and placed 2 house boats and a ski boat on hold for a weeks rental. My dad also called to place the house boat rentals (a little bit of miscommunication with the family) and the staff not only figured out it was a second request but were able to accomidate the different family members paying for the rentals. I am sure it would have been easier to have one person pay and the rest of the family pay them, however Paradise Point made it very easy for us to pay individually which was very helpful! read more

On Sunday July 3, my wife and I with our 2 boys (ages 20 and 18) rented a ski boat for a day from Paradise Point. We rented a 19' Commander with tower, small sun shade and 150 HP outboard motor - along with skis, wakeboard, kneeboard, tow line, and PFDs. The boat and ski equipment worked well. The staff was helpful and friendly. Andy gave us advice about where to go on the Delta. Adam checked us onto the boat and gave us the ski equipment. Our day on the Delta was fun. After wheel-barreling our food from our car to the boat, we sped west on the White Slough past King Island Resort to the San Joaquin River. We started skiing on the western side of Medford Island, and skied for most of the day on Columbia Cut in the area just south of St Francis Yacht Club. read more

I used to come here a lot back in the day to launch my boat or my friends boats. But since I don't live near here I don't come here often but I definitely appreciate the ease of this launching facility compared to others I've been to. It's 12$ during the week and $15 during the weekend. The launch ramp is usually easy to launch from even if the wind is pushing from behind you. There is plenty of free parking for regular cars so it's an easy spot to have friends meet at and launch your boat at. read more

Launched the boat here for the first time on Father's Day. The facility is clean and appears to be well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The ramp was a breeze and the parking was abundant. We had a great time out on the river. We'll definitely be coming back. read more

Paradise Point on the Delta - Paradise Point boat dock - Boating Near Me - Stockton, California

I cannot say enough good things about Seven Crowns at Paradise Point on the California Delta. The houseboat we rented from them (Crownship) was perfect for my husband and me and our dog. JB, on staff, oriented us the morning we started our trip. He talked us through everything including fishing tips. He even took us out on the water and let my husband and me practice with his guidance. As we were first time house-boaters, he recommended a place for us to go the first night which had mooring posts, eliminating the need to figure out anchoring (the hardest thing about handling the boat) We liked that original place so well, we stayed all 5 days there, fishing, bird watching, relaxing, watching the raccoons and river otters and swimming a little. He also gave us excellent directions on how to navigate the very confusing channels and sloughs. It is very easy to get lost on the Delta, but we felt pretty sure of our way because of the tips and excellent map JB gave us. The boat was sturdy and reliable with plenty of water and propane and gasoline. It was really roomy inside, surprisingly so, and the pull-out bed was super comfortable. The full kitchen even has an oven in which my husband baked me a birthday cake! The ads for house boating always seem to mention how much dogs will love it, and our dog DID love it. She got to swim a couple times, but even if she had never done that, she would have had a great time. She could look out at the birds and otters and racoons. She could play with her toys (we brought lots of them). She really loved watching my husband fish, and every time she heard the reel, she came running. She got nose-to-nose with bluegill and bass, and since we didn't keep any of them, she also liked watching them swim away. We thought she might be bored not getting her daily walks and trips to the dog park, but she had so much fun on this trip, she is still sleeping it off a whole day later. The staff at Seven Crowns answered every question no matter how silly it seemed. I called back after we had booked the trip and asked about how to deal with a dog...where would she do her business if we were not able to get to shore? Answer: buy a roll of sod from Lowe's and put it on the deck. When the trip is over, just roll it up and drop it in the trash. That tip worked like a charm. We did not even have to tell our dog what to do with that sod. She went right for it and used it reliably the whole trip. Also, as we were leaving the resort area on our boat, I noticed the RPMs on the engines didn't match, though the throttles were in matching positions. I called on the cell phone back to the office and was reassured that this was normal. Everyone treated us so nicely, though they could have rightfully laughed at me needing a couple passes to get the boat back into the dock at the end. I had never driven a houseboat before, indeed I don't think I have ever driven any kind of motorized boat. But this was very doable, even for a beginner. It can't go very fast, and we were mostly in lots of open water. It was definitely more fun than the 5 hour drive in the car getting there. Everything I had read said that this would be the most relaxing vacation ever, and I can't find anything to disagree with there. The Delta is an amazing, interesting place. We only saw a tiny bit of it. And rocking on our moors in the little corner of the Delta, we unwound a whole year of work and stress in five days. It was hard to leave. read more

When I was a young man I the 70's and 80's I frequently launched at paradise point. It was a small family owned marina. It was well kept and never crowded. Today it looks like run down disaster. I hadn't been there in almost 25 years but oh was a change time has rot on this facility. I have no idea why bridge bay resorts bought it other than to turn it into an on the water junk yard for there 30 to 40 year old master fab houseboats from Shasta. The lined up on the decaying docks. Most have no motors and are covered with spiderwebs. So sad to see what corporate America from the LA area has been allowed to do to a once crowned jewel of the delta. You just have to take a moment to see what's become of LA to understand the mentality of what the State of Cali has allowed to happen to our once beautiful Cali delta. Such a shame. Maybe someday a new owner will come along who gives a dam and make this the jewel it deserves to be. read more

This is a must! I have never posted a review on Yelp, but we just returned from our Houseboating vacation. We picked up the boat on Wednesday, I was not feeling well, they help us on and out of the marina. We woke up Thursaday, my wife was now sick with the flu, we had to come back in to get a hotel, I called ahead to the marina and the GM Andy hopped in a boat came out and meet us to take over the driving while we got ready to hop off. We had our adult children with us, they allowed them to stay on the boat for the night. Wife was better the next day and we resumed our boating trip. When Bob doesn't want to drive to Walnut Grove, this is where he launches his boat. Also okay for shore fishing. He's launched his big boat off this ramp as well as his little aluminum fishing boat with a fair amount of ease. Down the road is a SJ Delta classic restaurant The Bread Fruit Tree-Jamican fare and bizi as heck-a real party/island atmosphere. I've toodled down this part of the San Joaquin Delta and there are lots of little branches to vear off and get totally lost if you don't have a map. Funny and then again not to see all the wrecks people have just abandoned in our beautiful waterways. I'd have to say, I prefer boating in the west Delta near Walnut Grove, makes for a more peaceful and relaxing day on the river. read more

First time renting a ski boat from Paradise Point. We also rented a wakeboard. Check in/out was hassle free. Staff was friendly and helpful. The young man reviewing the paperwork with us made sure everyone was fitted with a ski vest. The ski boat ran fine. It could use a little TLC, other than that, it was great. Don't bother coming here. These people suck so badly. I pay to keep my boat in their fenced yard and I can never get it out because they don't have the person to open the gate. The security sucks worse I have had several things stolen from my boat as well as my boat being moved. I'm just waiting to get my boat as soon as I can I won't be back. read more

We have a group of guys that have been coming back to rent houseboats out of Paradise Point for the last 15-20 years and really have had a great time on every trip. Yes, the houseboats are little old but very functional and have all the creature comforts of home. The staff is always friendly and supportive when we have special requests. They are always offering us good fishing areas on the Delta and where good locations are to park the houseboat overnight. Great job guys! read more

We have used Paradise Point Marina for 25 years and recently celebrated our 25th July American Party with 24 of our Friends and Family on their largest Houseboat Paradise Point is no longer owned by Seven Crown Resorts and things are different and the boat was not in good shape. We happily paid extra for the advertised Loading Service on Monday before the 4th and went to Mandeville for the 4th of July. We paid over $3,000 for their service and their products. Upon our return we called the Marina to let them know about time we were coming in and then again when we got closer to confirm the exact time.. When we returned with their largest boat we were expecting help in the wind and offloading like in the past, which we would also pay extra. No one was there at the dock as we tried to put the boat in place for 10 minutes and then after calling the office twice the Dock Crew finally showed up with sarcasizm. When speaking with the missing General Manager by telephone he suggested if we didn't get the help that we had in the last 24 years we bring our own people or hire someone else, We hired a Church Group Sunshine at the dock to help us unload and they did a great job. Not the service we have had for 25 years and have paid extra for them to provide. It is not the same positive attitude as it was over the last 25 years. We will never use Paradise Point again.
